Wow! Amazing tank! You need to stay and fight with Sandra. You can't outrun that thing. It'll keep coming and coming, and you're vulnerable to the swarm in the meantime. Don't try to ambush the tank. You will most likely be gunned down before you can come close, and even if you do get on, your wooden leg will make you useless! Stay in the fort, and do as much damage, preferably to the wheels, as you can. If push comes to shove, try to lure them into the badlands. If you need to escape, take Ian Ded. He'll be able to build you a good leg, which will be uncountably usefull if you're running.

The amount of love they give you more than makes up for it, though. That's sad, PSP. I've had a bird fly away once, I know how you feel.

I'm mostly complaining because the last big catalogue got lost in the mail.
-
The Mach 5 is nice, but Snake Oiler needs some help, IMO. I bought Racer X and Taejo, great sets.

Poor old Rodney. He should have realized that the pink olives had gone bad.

Not worth 400 to me...but I do like the missile pod idea. I think a better investment would be to buy three of the new ones...The panels for the monkey sticker are going to be beautiful for us- just design a custom sticker, switch around colors...and presto! Beautiful sharkmouth.

Good point. This is a slow time of year, and so yes, we don't need a full size catalogue. But it seems that it'd be better to have a full-size catalogue for the major sales season.
-
Yep, it's 17 pages, which is way too short. I wonder if all the catalogues are going to be like this in the future.

Speed Racer, the next Galidor? Wow, that's harsh. I'm probably not going to see the movie, but the sets themselves made me want to buy them. Those cars are great, with the exception of Snake Oiler, who could probably be salvaged with a little Modding.

What's this? I got the impression that 'shadow's was older than thirty-two. I thought he was born in, oh, I don't know...The seventeen, eighteen-hundreds? Happy, birthday, dude! (and the pirate, I guess)

Well, the new Lego catalogue came in the mail. And, unfortunetly (I just know that's spelled wrong), and it's tiny, AGAIN. I was really looking forward to a full size catalogue with bigger pics and more sets, but no...It's still the odd fold-over catalogue. Also, the set selection is crazy. Only a few of the new sets made it in- but some sets, like the mobile crane, made it in. Just weird...

I'd like a whole ship, but that probably would've been mentioned in the description. Not sure how a whole ship would work, either- All those weird lumps and roundness of the ship make it really hard to build.

A terrible blow to an adult fan of lego?
Corvus replied to General Zen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I usually feel embarassed when parents come into the Lego section. Sometimes I get odd looks, and sometimes people ignore me. However, I remember once when an older woman came into the section with her husband. I overheard that she was looking for a certain SW set (I don't remember which). She was having a hard time finding it, so I put down the set I was looking at, found the one she was looking for, and handed it to her. She thanked me and asked if I knew a lot about Lego. I said yes, I was a fan. She then said that she needed advice as to what else to get. It's always nice to go out of your way to help people. I've also gotten a variety of greetings from kids. Sometimes I get weird looks, sometimes even whispers, but mostly I'm ignored. Though, I remember a good conversation with two kids about the new 2007 sets and Fred Meyer's lag of delivery. -
Wow, that's beautiful. I look forward to the finished product. Could you make a sketch (probably on MSPaint) of the top of the ship? I'd like to see what it's going to look like.

SirNadroj's Custom Minifigures

Monkey Man, Monkey Man, Does whatever a monkey can, flings his poo from a tree, LOOK OUT! It's Monkey Man! You're right, Trixie does look a lot better with that hair. Really weird that TLC didn't use it. you really need to put Monkey Man in your avvie. -
Amusing post on "how to love a Lego Lunatic"

They must wear shoes in the house? Are they insane? Socks, yes, but shoes? Shoes are death to Lego. -
A poll to decide a star wars set for february 2009
Corvus replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hmm, this is a little too vague for me to choose. Palpie's office is the clearest- it says minifigs and a little scene. Slave 1 is a harder- we know it has Slave 1 and a landing platform, but is it just a platform? Will this be like Cloud City? What minifigs will there be? Will Boba have the rare arms and legs printing? The Mon Cal cruiser is clear on the set- the hangar and the control room. But how will TLC make that without it looking terrible? Seems really hard to do. Also, minifigs, ships, etc.? Meditate on this, I will. -
Hey, that's cool. It's always great when someone builds a MOC out of a set.
-
Whoops. I read the bit about the fins, but everything else seems to have gone in one ear and out the other- or should I say in one eye and out the other? I just looked up railguns on Google, and this looked interesting. It's a German rail gun, but as you can see, it's on wheels. Pretty cool, but it doesn't look all that stable.

Aha! The mad genius went for nostalgia. If you need me, I'll be in the Arctic for a few years. I don't have fond memories of the last time your secret shock troops paid a visit! (do you have a secret police? That'd be pretty sweet- dark green!) You did a good job staying with the subject matter. However, I thought that since it uses rockets that I'm assuming are modern, wouldn't need as much of a long barrel. As for the swiveling, I didn't know that. Interesting.
-
Sorry to say, but this isn't one of my favorites. It seems too low-tech compared to your other Tabletown MOCs. I think you should add side supports (Those fold down legs...whaddya call 'ems. ), add a mount to allow it to swivel, and shorten the barrel. Just to make it more futuristic.
-
I think it's pretty cool, actually, but it's just odd that such a long piece would be used. Not fun for a minifig to sit on!

Happy B-Day to our favorite Exo-horse! Tell me, did TLC send you a cake in the new River Dragon that you bought?

Suggestions for future Themed Months
Corvus replied to The Rancor's topic in Forum Information and Help
I thought that was me. I'd like an Agents theme month, too. It'd be a pretty cool tradition to celebrate new themes with theme months...minus duplo themes. -
Don't they call that the Smart Car? I agree. I haven't gotten them yet, but they sit way too high in the car, and the sides are too low. Still, they look like they could have some good modding potential. Which set did you get? The Speed Racer and Snake Oiler cars are pretty bad, IMO, but the Racer X and Taejo Togokhan's cars look better.
