Very true, with the figs getting every year more awesome, they became more important than the bricks (typical of the super heroes sets)... In parallel the playability of the sets keep improving, but I feel lots of kids and teens (and adults) are to busy playing video games. They still keep buying thanks to TLG super design and marketing, but more to collect them than play. Hence all this Lego movies, Apps, video games.... Very good point, the dematerialized added value of the sets keep increasing. And it has a price. Kind of like the content of Star Wars sets is often poor in bricks or figs because Lego has to pay Disney for that. I think this phenomena really developp with Ultra Agents (figs very ridiculously scarce, but awesome) and Galaxy Squad (bugs and eggs to replace figs)

I would said IF you count minions as minifigs, and IF you except NK sets not having minions (Evil Mobile and Chaos Chariot) NK have a average number of figs (generous compare to City, not compare to DC or Marvel sets). But if you compare it to something more comparable (action sets with minions : Ninjago Possession, same price tags and similar pieces/sets), NK sets are at least 2 figs/minions short ... 100$ Fortrex 4 minifigs 3 minions vs City of Stiix 8 minifigs 1 minion. 60$ Evil Mobil 2 minifigs vs Titan Mech Battle 5 minifigs 1 minion 40$ Clay Rumble blades 2 minifigs 3 minions vs Wu Dragon 5 minifigs 1 minion 30$ King Mech, 2 minifigs 1 minion or Chaos Chariot 2 minifigs vs Chain Cycle ambush 3 minifigs 2 minions 20$ Moltor lava smasher 2 minifigs vs Cole blaster bike 2 minifigs 2 minions Yet I think the heavy equipment, the diversity and the coolness of the NK minifigs should be taken into account. Ninjago Skybound (except the Island ! super good deal), is more similar to NK regarding minifigs.

Would you be happy with 2 or 3 sides ? Like the Vampyre castle ? I think it's a very good compromise. @4.50 4 sides like the Fortrex would make for a small castle while folded, so I guess it's unlikely. Hum... If I remember correctly, a well informed forumer hinted it will not be a proper Volcano (transforming into a base like the Fortrex). some very random ideas : I would go for some oversized computer backpack, with antennas, on wheels/mini tank track/jetpacks ?, with a maximum of tans-purple or trans-dark pink trans-purple chains ? stars ? (being both magical and girly symbol) (or pinkish heart, flower... manga style, Ava showing her secret garden while ultimate...) a trans-purple 6x6 inverted radar web for a shield or were she could fly could be too big... a transpurple (energetic) oval shield ? a transpurple magnifying glass ? transpurple giant flame on her reactor backpack ? trans-dark pink dish 2x2 inverted ? trans dark pink magic wand ? trans dark pink 5 points crystal at the end of a weapon/missile for the play feature, maybe flick missiles ? or a (trans-purple) Zamor sphere launcher ? an old bionicle one, coz it's smaller maybe. Or with a holder on top if your are not afraid of the size or a disc launcher on her backpack, (higher than the head) or a moving trans-purple hero factory spiked ball, like the one on Infernox shoulders for her display, (galaxy squad) trans dark pink alien pod/cicular eggs, or trans dark pink treasure chest or container trunk for her animal, maybe a fish, with a trans dark pink fish ornemental ?? http://www.bricklink...itemID=81932142

I think it will be the best way to make it different from the Fortrex. But at the same time will prevent to make a proper siege tower to attack the (volcano) castle... Then Magmar siege vehicle could be a smaller siege tower... but more probably the one shown at the end of the knights video... Regarding the theory that Orange Flama could be ultimate Flama, I would love that, but it's a bit stange if the show keep showing ultimate Flama... By the way I would love an ultimate bluish flama !!

Not Liking Sparkks, but still wanting Burnzie to be with his buddy on my display, I will probably give him a Moltor body, with small wings on his back. She could have a cat-like attitude (both sneaky and seductive) I would have prefer proper robots heads All in all, I think the vilains designs are better than the good guy minifigs. For me, the best of all lego action themes so far (with Ultra Agents baddies :). Much more diversity for exemple than 2015 Ninjago possession ghost vilains or jungle. Hoping NK to be succesfull, so TLG will continue them for years... Imagine 6 or 7 times this superb minifigs with totally different themes...

look very nice, fit very well to her description : Lavaria is not the usual loud and noisy “I am going to crush everything!” kind of monster. She is a sneaky kind of monster and therefore the chief spy of Jestro’s army. This silent warrior can steal everything except what she truly wishes for – a kiss from her wicked master.

And I find Burnzie weapons much more impressive than Sparkks or even Infernox one... But on the photo Whipa is a bit too wide for my taste on her waist/upper tail

thank you !! will pass on Ultimate lavaria then... Among the 7 sets of wave, beside Jestro, we could fine a dozen of vilains. Wander if there will be some more (the black armored guy ?), or if it will be something like 2 Ash Attacker, 2 Crust Smasher, 2 Flame thrower, Moltor, non-Ultimate Flama, non Ultimate Magmar and Non Ultimate-Lavaria... I find Magmar perfect. Good colors, good name, badass look... I should probably avoid seeing the cartoon to keep my first impression

I feel black and orange lava patern are very present witin the vilains. Magmar has the same legs as Moltor for exemple. I prefer Burnzie over Sparkks. His small head without mouth doesn't work for me.

Interesting, thank you. But ... I love female vilain. I was very proud of Lego making 3 of them. Plus now he is even more similar to (Fantastic 4) Human Torch and UA Infearno.

I forsee my favorite will be Moltor, Jestro (love his demented face), Whiparella and Flama. Others are nice but a bit too similar color or shapes wise. Waiting to see the iron jaws guy (good potential)... and Magmar and Jestro 2.0

+ the Horse hover is kind of the best build of the theme (so far). A horse being so quintessential for a knight, I wonder what will happen with them in 2017. No hover-horse ? (come on TLG...) Same hover-horse ? (lazy...) Better ones ? (hard to do...) Modified maybe ? Airboat style for swamp in 2017.... Pegasus for a dragon/sky theme in 2018... Jet-ski for sea theme in 2019... (No idea for a dark forest theme...)

And if I am correct, if we order @ legoShop now we get a random vilain build with the legs of Ash (and Flamethrower), the head of Ash, the torso of Crust (and Flamethrower) and helmet of Crust.

Maybe it was obvious, or even said before, but it seems you can join 2 NK playmats on opposite side (castle and lava) to get on giant scenery, 1 x1,26 m(39x48 inches) http://shop.lego.com...Listing=listing You just have to convince your significant other that you need to buy a new dining room tablecloth...
