it's high, but i'm sure I can find some 100 $ sets as high, and wider or longer. Not as bulky/square/dense tough, which was my point. The Fortrex is very monolithic, in a good way :)
-
Agree, it looks small. Despite the vilain vehicle being small as well. But the price/piece is good. It's the density of the castle (no empty spaces...) and the number of accessories (armors, arms, robots, bike...) which let few pieces to make it bigger. It needs the library to look like a proper castle.

"clear" being an euphemism for "way better than life picture constructed through heavy computer processing" :)

at least with this shield, no doubt it's a sticker : http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70333-1/70333_alt6.jpg) (lego should'nt hire 6 years old kids to build the sets for the official photoshoot :)

any idea why the set numbers are not continuous ? why 70325 and 70327 but no 70326 ? does it happen often ? possible exclusive sets for wawe 1 ? or only wawe 2 ? (in this case do you have an idea which will be the exclusive set ? Library ? King Mech ? http://brickset.com/sets/year-2016/theme-Nexo-Knights thank you !

Thank you ! And here ? are you guies sure it's stickers ? http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70325-1/70325_alt10.jpg
-
are you sure they are stickers ? Compare to the prelim photo, they are still not centered, but I don't see the thin 3rd dimension of the paper. Look flat too me, but I am no expert... : http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70335-1/70335_alt3.jpg

Ultimate are super nice on the picture with rendering (much better than the real one unfortunately) http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70330-1/70330_alt2.jpg http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70332-1/70332_alt3.jpg and the chaos chariot, does the red mouth open when you turn the round part in front of the driver ? doesn't seem sturdy... http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70314-1/70314_alt3.jpg

if I am not mistaken... stickers on shields... http://images.bricks.../70313_alt8.jpg or is it a bad print ? http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70325-1/70325_alt10.jpg print books http://images.bricks.../70313_alt9.jpg or semi-transparent stickers ? http://images.bricks...70314_alt11.jpg I like that in the Fortrex, training stuff : http://brickset.com/...7-1/The-Fortrex

I like them, a clever mix of icon/symbol and heraldry. I will try to decorate in my upgraded Fortrex a (small) red room for Macy, with her ultimate armor and the most reddish shields, a green room for Aaron, etc...

Lego Ninjago 2016
ChristopheQ replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I didn't knew that : "In 2013 more newborns arrived in August than in any other month. The second, third, and fourth most popular birthday months were July, October, and September, in that order." In France, it's from May to September. WIth a pick in May (most baby being conceived in september after the holliday) -
it has been post in the ninjago 2016 thread. From brickset : http://brickset.com/article/17688/2016-sets-to-be-released-on-december-1st "Meanwhile, in the UK we have learnt from a reliable source that LEGO stores are intending to put City, Star Wars, Friends, Technic and Disney Princess sets out on the 26th of December while Duplo, Juniors, Nexo Knights, Ninjago, BIONICLE and others will be kept for the 1st of January. It is unknown whether or not a release in the US would alter their plans, although it seems likely.

and lego Mixels :) I am afraid the good guys building and minifigs will stay, like in the cartoon, too much futuristic for that, but the vilains on the other hands... Especially if we get some fantasy baddies in next wawes (orcs, lezard-men etc...) Come on guys... He is a constructive antagonist, we all love and need some vilains to fight.

POLL: Favorite Nexo Knight?
ChristopheQ replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
hum, tough question : for the color, probably Macy, for the ultimate. Lance in normal color, white being the best with silver. Both Red and White complement well the good guy color schem. Fit well with the hover horses... Blue is too similar, sorry Clay, even If it suit the boss of the group. I am not found of green for a knight (I would have prefer a foxy (dark) orange, but the color was kinda taken for the vilains, and as a complementary colors to the blue of the good guy, on their shoulders, trans dark reddish orange everywhere....) Not 100% convinced by yellow, for a bull, but why not... Green for an ogre with an axe could have work as well... For the weapon : Macy !! Cool pieces, cool build, cool size, more exotic than a sword. Fitting for her explosive personnality. I like the other one as well but Clay the least For the name, all but Aaron For the biological sex : Macy, not yet enough tough girl in lego universe. Wyldstyle for president !! For the size, I like Axl armor but don't love it, I wish the hand could turn and where yellow like the helmet... For there personnalities : I forsee that Aaron will get the most on my nerve in the show... but they all have great potential (especially Lance and Macy...) so all in all, I am probably a MLACAa 1 Macy 2 Lance 3 Axl 4 Clay 5 Aaron Ah and I don't like the cheerful Aaron is so close from Lewa in Bionicle : green, rebel, daredevil, doing aerian stuff And to all the fan of Aaron and Axl, my 7 years old totally agree with you. Bigger is cooler. And fun is funnier... Nomaly he will cheer for the red one, but Macy being a girl... -
Lego Ninjago 2016
ChristopheQ replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
hum...my son and I prefer Airjitsu (and speedorz) than spinners, find it more fun, more movements... But I guess with Airjitsu you get one or two and you got enough of them. It's more for the fun of making things fly. Not for the fights and collecting weapons etc... -
And here started the schism within #teamLance...
-
Seems it's Clay who is getting the less love. Too archetypal maybe...
-
I guess/hope the mouth open and close when the wheels turn, making the orange blade turn as well... high def photo here :http://data.techtimes.com/data/images/full/149042/70316-jestros-evil-mobile-jpg.jpg

thank you ! I just noticed among the 5 knights, Axl and Lance are the more challenging to be made in ultimate armor (a huge trans yellow piece for Axl ? transparent for Lance ? trans light blue ?). Do you think they will skip them or come in wawe 2 ?
-
sorry wich set, the horse ? For my list to Santa, I think I will try to wait for some sets. Some minifigs (beside the knights) will come back in wawe 2.

Lego Ninjago 2016
ChristopheQ replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
At least for kids (mine include), I would say boys often love red, and fire, and energetic personnality... -
Very interesting, thank you. Couldn't that be the first fans of Ninjago are getting older as well ? And the AFOL more numerous ? The market becoming more mature, so the designer feel they can treat us with more "mature" design. Wasn't the first season of Ninjago cartoon a bit more childish as well ? I really hope Nexo Knight will last enough to see something similar to this Ninjago golden age... Even if the futuristic castle theme would not pleased everyone... Temple of Airjitsu look like a "real" temple. A 200 euros NK castle wouldn't look like a real castle...
-
True, but I feel Ninjago since 2015 is more focusing on pretty design. Which appeal to grown up as well. The transformation is not the core of the sets (as oppose to Lance Horse, or 70222 Tormak shadow Blazer or 70225 Bladvic's Rumble Bear ...) Dragons, especially the beautifull new ones, are the best exemple of that attention to design Airjitsu temple as well... (compared to the Fenix temple...) Except Ronin Rex, I don't see too much playability (just some shooters or moving stuff...) in the Ghost theme and apparently even in the 2016 sets... Chima, being aimed at younger kids, were more toyish I feel.
-
Thank you !! Is it me or the Nexo Knight, as Chima focus more on playability, and Ninjago more on vehicle/dragon design ? I am very happy with the diversity of vilains, but I will have knights by the dozen... I wish they make some little change ala scooby doo like : new faces, bruise or even burn will be appropriate For Chaos Chariot, so the giant mouth open not with the chains but while the vehicle is moving ? Do you think the red faces will be print or stickers ? I feel they got their inspiration from Warhammer squig
