  1. a nice MOC very NK inspired, with a nice portal https://www.flickr.com/photos/128819970@N06/24777151271/in/photostream/
  2. thank you very much sweetsha. That's a lot of plant design... maybe too much... I hope it's not a faction they worked on but reject... For the plant vehicles, they could easely make tree-mech, wooden carts etc... brown and green colors, spikes, catapult...
  3. Regarding NK 2017 colors : not easy to guess, and it will depend a lot of the vilains color... (the actual colors not contrasting a lot with a green, earth and red vilains plant faction for exemple). As I said last week, 2016 Blue(s) and grey(s) were perfect (feel both medieval and futuristic). The transparent color could have been with trans-yellow like in the show, but i think trans reddish orange add a bigger contrast with the light grey and silver, while creating a link with the lava monster. (Meanwhile the vilains got trans-orange to stay within lava colors but still slightly contrast with red). But I was the NK designer, I would change these colors for 2017. Or wave 2 vehicles will feel too similar to wave 1 (a blue bike, blue tank, blue tower, blue castle, blue flyer...). Replacing trans reddish orange by trans-orange or trans-yellow will not cut it. The new vehicles need to be fresh, orginal to be appealing for kids. They need to feel "Whooa, cool vehicle look, I don't have that, I wan't that". (but I admited if we got a super fresh vilain faction, it could help sell similarly colored knights...) I said it last week, but the problem is most of the colors are "taken" : dark blue, Yellow, Red, Green and White... dark green, brown, tan, sand would be very military and more for bad guys Orange, light green and lime are probably too flashy and not very knightly (purple, light yellow, pink even more so...) But seeing blue and dark blue are used a lot despite being Clay colors, I would go for a grey, gold, red, dark red with trans-light blue for the contrast Golden armour and shield with trans-blue details would be lovely, but probably too kingly... (I still think we will got them at some point) A darker metal for the armor could work as well, especialy if the vilains have no armors (those being generaly dark). By the way if they make the plant faction, I would love to see some wooden/organic/spiky shield design
  4. Here in Poland NK is everywhere (more than Chima few years ago I would say). No Ninjago 2016 yet. The friends of my son are really into it. Thanks to the App mostly. A successfull marketing tool I imagine. I would like to have some statistic info indeed.
  5. But we are talking Nexo knights here. You know, silly transparent armors, crazy vehicle ala Chima, and ridiculously-oversized weapons in the Ultimate sets, targeting 8 years old. We were already super lucky with the very adult-friendly lava guys. Don't push it or you could be even more disappointed than with NK 2016 . The villains have to fit somehow with the colorful knights. At least they will get some uber-technological colorful shields...
  6. The dark guy being so dark/black doesn't make me optimistic on TLG producing them in that form. I am afraid they would need to be at least as colored as the ghost in Ninjago Possession. Some purple, dark blue, some lighter sand colors for the contrast, a transparent color for the vehicles and weapons etc...
  7. yes, the black guys have some aquatic vibes (with their dark elves inspiration, fishy skin colors, pirates details...). A sea-beast masters faction would be nice...
  8. real lego parts are not much, but the Merlok sticker and neon orange parts is nice if you don't have the Fortrex, and the red shield with a whip looks good (will be very fiting to whiparella).
  9. But he fits with the black knight. IF one of these vilains factions were made into figs (not certain at all with stickers books), I would still prefere the plants guy. More different from the 2016 lava guys.
  10. for your lego room, a very big (240x300cm) NK "set" for 40 euros : http://www.leboncoin.fr/jeux_jouets/919043917.htm?ca=18_s
  11. the Dutch website said 50 euros for Magmar and 80 for Axl. Seeing Clay Blade is 40$ and Evil Mobil is 60$, I would say it make sense. 1 hover horse and a bigger vehicle for Magmar compare to the Blade. 2 Minions and a bigger vehicle for Axl compare to Jestro Mobile (still I agree 80 is a bit much for that... 70 would be more fair...) hummm... as I mentioned before, I hope not. A blue chicken and a blue falcon in the same team doesn't work so much. And Robin couldn't replace Clay like that. Clay being the archetypal Hero and Robin more the engineer right ? (but that can change, Cf Anakin Skywalker)
  12. Alcool should do it, or white/mineral spirit... I will try it next week when I received this promo set
  13. A very blurry photo of the very cool show golem. Looks good !! I hope it will be in the exclusive sets (a raid village pretty please !!! In Wave 1 we got the Queen, the king, Ava..., we need some civilians for wave 2 as well). By the way I am happy Lego didn't show all the sets. Still something to hope for... I think few would answer Macy thunder mace For design (look, playability...) it will possibly be Aaron v2 crossbow (we will need a video to be sure) For content/value, (and by content I mean super cool figs !) I could say the Volcano or the Major General Magmar 's Evil Siege Machine of Impeding Doom Magmar vehicle has 2 super cool exclusive minifies at a correct price point (but the vehicle design is a bit lacking for me...) the Volcano has the exclusive black scurrier and elf guy (and the book, and Jestro, and 3 knights...) but I am an hipster and will say Ultimate Magmar !!!! Yet if you have 50$ to invest, I will recommend Magmar vehicle over 5 Ultimate Magmar... But I am not sure it's better than Chaos Chariot (30$) and Moltor lava smasher (20$). Or Chaos Chariot, Ultimate Flama and Ultimate Magmar. To compare only within wave 2, The Volcano should be the Price of Axl tower transport (70$) and Magmar vehicle (50$). If you don't have already the Evil Mobil, I will go for the base. No 103-7 has some potential.
  14. time to shop, probably in most of EU free battle station for 20 euros purchase on lego web store, plus a free mini fortrex for 30 euros, cumulative !! (80/100 zloty in Poland)
  15. A tower transforming into a dragon, the top of the tower being the head, the crenation being the jaws made with (if I am correct DraikNova idea's) the castle turret top, with the new pyramid pieces on top of the crenation as teeth, The tail being an articulate small rampart with crenation adjacent to the tower
  16. Vilain hover horse (for Ultimate Magmar, who look like a dark knight), with a black bike, replacing the new dark blue "shield" slop by a brown one (Burnzie) or a trans-orange lava slop (like in the chaos chariot) which will make it bulkier replace the head-horse buy a bull-head maybe, with the new chima claws (the one making the eye on the evil mobile) in trans-orange...
  17. interview of one of the NK designer, with (few) more info on Macy and Aaron vehicles http://zusammengebau...-designer-4403/ sorry, didn t find anything better than this http://zusammengebau...res-lehmann.jpg same photo than on the video, but a good view on Ultimate (I love Magmar torso !!!) http://zusammengebau...es-lehmann1.jpg http://zusammengebau...res-lehmann.jpg http://zusammengebau...res-lehmann.jpg http://zusammengebau...res-lehmann.jpg
  18. yes could be... Ninjago color schemes are more simple. Each Ninja give his own very dominant color to his vehicle (even if one could argue red is the Ninjago color of choice for temples, Bounty etc...). For the Knights, blue and grey are still 95% of the vehicle colors... It give a strong coherence to the theme, and make a lot of sense, feel both medieval and futuristic, but if they don't change colors, wave 2 vehicles will feel very similar to wave 1 (a blue bike, blue tank, blue flyer...). or maybe only minor change like replace the trans reddish orange, by trans yellow, like in the show... And if they change colors, they should avoid dark blue (Clay), Yellow, Red, Green and White... (but seeing blue and dark blue are used a lot despite being Clay colors, a grey, red, dark red, trans-blue combinaison could work...) dark green, brown, tan, sand would be very military and more for bad guys Orange, purple, light yellow, pink, light green and lime are probably too flashy and not very knightly Gold only in limited quantity... not easy to guess...
  19. @1.20 the angle on Macy vehicle is really not flatering... Same for the globe lobber, look better in the box art : http://brickset.com/...ery=nexo knight will get it for the parts and Flame thrower (no plan to buy the King mech or the Lance horse) So much yellow in ultimate Axl, yellow face in a yellow helmet look weird... probably some old and some news in each sets, to keep people interested ? For your Mace Dragon, love the compact size !!
  20. I would say the colors of the bad guys are rather similar, all based on red. (dark red, orange, brown, purple for Jestro, even black is a very very dark red ). Putting something based on blue would have make a wildly different color schemes. For possible plants vilains, it would probably be less homogenious, with all kind of brown/green with reddish details (red mushroom hat, red or purple cape...) to make a good contrast. For 2017, beside the unknow ennemy faction (my guess is no BoM, no Jestro, but Lego keep surprising me, so I will not bet in it...) I still wander if the blue and trans-reddish orange for the knight will stay. Against a greenish faction they could go for dark red and trans-blue for exemple... And the Ultimate, will we get new one's ? Good for the App, but difficult to invent more weapons... And the collectors, no more books, weapons, helmet ? So many possibilities for the designers... Seeing the prelims at the end of the year will be super exciting !!!
  21. I was wandering as well. For few books, rostrom/lectern is the more classy way. This is the best angle... And tiles on top to look more like a library. But something similar for 6 or 7 books will take a lot of space... I was thinking, to mix up shelves with 2 books in display. One horizontal, one vertical, so both cover can be seen. Close up on Ultimate was much appreciate, thanks ! No sure i like the strong contrast between yellow and trans orange on Flama. But the head is lovely. Will still try to put ghost rider flame head piece on him. Love Ultimate Magmar. Some shields are a bit boring no ?
  22. I will buy all sets having books. I love Aaron flyer, but too good, few room for improvement. And I want to limit number of sets to diplay. So mostly for pieces. I will keep only the Fortrex and few horses for the knights. For the vilains, besides my wicked war wagon MOC (with probably ultimate Magmar and ultimate Flama inside) I planned to make a huge tower assault vehicle, but seeing the lava castle, I prefer instead to make my own version of the base (with a more visible volcano, and a castle more like the Monster Fighters' one. But I really like the wheels of the Evil Mobile, so I started joining them together, hamster wheel style, and feel it with globlins. Look rather similar to a Warhammer Skaven doomwheel. Will put Motlor on the black side, red Flama on the red side.
  23. and one could argue, that in a world where horse and shield are flying, proper door and ramparts are obsolete... Jestro has build a post-modern castle, he is the new Vauban...
  24. Sorry, in which set is Pythor ?
