42056 - Porsche Speculation
Kman860 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It BETTER be good packaging, because not everyone lives close to a Lego store. On second thought, if it gets to me damaged, I guess TLG will have to give me some store credit  But I'd rather have a box in perfect shape. -
I would easily pay $10 more to have helmets for all of the clones, because we probably won't see Wolfe and Gregor for a while at least.

But to be fair, those countries probably don't have graduated licensing, right? -
 Kind of funny to hear it like that, but I feel kind of bad for the kid (unless he wanted to sell them).

Well, chopper is in the Phoenix Home, but I think Zeb and one more stormtrooper would be good, I mean, Zeb did have a pretty big part in that episode.

Personally, I like having something to look forward too -
I'm pretty sure the exclsives come out August 1st. P.S. Mini congratulations to me on my 1000th comment!

I don't mind having the Roxxon truck instead of white, but what bugs me is the truck was a rigid, not a semi! -
True, I guess they could have them in a small set too.

Other than a new mold for the Seventh Sister, I can't think of any reason for putting Kallus in this set. Even then, I'm sure they could have figured out something else to put in there.

That would never happen, the extra cost in this set is going towards that booklet and a license fee. That also wouldn't be viable even without those 2 factors once you factor in all the shipping. -
I think at best this is what we would get-almost clear with a slight blueish tinge to them-which is till better than the regular blue. Man, I forgot all those and I own all of them  (although the Ewok Village is UCS). I don't necessarily mean the set would have to be that big, I think the issue would be it would have to be an expensive set to include Seventh Sister and Maul.

I don't know if you are looking at buying these sets now or not, but I think I would wait to see the DS. I don't think any of these sets will sell out before then (if you're a lego VIP you get early access to the DS in September), and that way you can judge if you want to save up/spend the extra cash on the Death Star. -
True, but if they DID do Malachor, the advantages would be they could include Seventh Sister and Maul, but to get those characters, I would assume it would be a $150/180 set, and have they ever done a location set that size?

No, amazon will have it August 1st, and most likely ship it August 1st. -
Wasn't the grand inquisitor's ship released after he died?

Do white blade pieces exist yet? Also, sorry to digress for a second here, but why is everyone so obsessed with dual-molding lately? I mean yeah, it looks good, but TLG uses it a handful of times and all of a sudden every figure is supposed to have it? I guess every figure could have dual-molding, but would you really be happy with the prices of sets? I mean, I'm getting really tired of hearing "This should have been dual-molded," and "That should have been dual-molded,". This is becoming the same issue as everyone expecting arm and leg printing on everything. So can we please stop saying everything should be dual-molded? -END RANT- Well, $90 US. It will probably be $120 CAN.

I do know quite a few people who are under 30 who could be considered children. I also know quite a few people at work under ~55-60 who could be considered children  I think another reason for the Porsche situation is the price of it. -
Honestly, I really like this set, but that's the only issue I have with it. That's a pretty big part of Ahsoka's story line.

In a word-consistency. In a few words-stubborn minded consistency and not willing to admit they got it wrong before, and plus people who bought the first versions would whine. So they might change the skin colour, but maybe in another year or so.

The thing is I see most of Sato's ships as corvettes, when I hear freighter I think more of something along the lines of a hammerhead, or some thing the size of the Falcon or Ghost. Although TLG hasn't been known for naming accuracy...

In the exclusive, or later this year in another set?
