  1. Wow, Stay Puft looks brilliant as a minifigure. Wonder if Rowan's Ghost from the upcoming movie will get a fun pack also?
  2. Except it is when the only franchise in the game so far that won't be interesting to the kids who usually buy toys-to-life game is Portal (even then, Portal is featured heavily in the game so if kids aren't familiar with it, they'll just assume it's a new thing invented for it).
  3. More proof that it was the editing that was the problem with the first trailer, not the jokes:
  4. I'll be shocked if they don't do the new Ecto-1. Probably the new Ghost Trap also. As I pointed out, most of the franchises are ones kids would want to play as though and it's mainly kids who play toys-to-life games.
  5. I can't imagine any kids clamouring to play as Mr T though, whereas the other franchises currently have kids who'd want to buy those packs also (with the exception of Portal, which turned out to be an extremely odd choice). Plenty of kids have seen Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, Jurassic World, Scooby Doo, Batman and other DC Comics properties but I can't imagine many have seen either A Team or a show presented by Mr T. It's an odd choice because it's something that presumably only people born in the 80s will get and want to buy the pack he is in.
  6. Seriously? They'd release Mr T as a minifigure over the numerous iconic characters from Doctor Who not playable yet? A Team hasn't been in the public limelight since the film came out and that wasn't very successful. I don't get why LEGO would make Mr T playable. Who's going to want to play as him? LEGO will soon regret that decision when Mr T doesn't sell well and will soon come crying back to Doctor Who.
  7. Only about this year, not next year. The point is Amy, Rory and River are files in the game and are not currently characters in it. Same with Barney Grumble. They could be sets planned for 2017 - 2016 focusing on establishing new franchises for a future 2.0 update and 2017 seeing the return of past franchises alongside the new ones.
  8. Except Amy, Rory and River only appear in a picture and not as characters in the game. What if they're not 2.0 characters but ideas for future releases though? It might be an idea they have in mind for 2017.
  9. Same here. My parents kept meaning to get me the Hogwarts set as a birthday or Christmas present but it was always too expensive.
  10. If anything, it would be the Chinese Takeaway sueing them.
  11. God, that's ugly. I like the yellow for LEGO's minifigures not based on anything but with licensed properties apart from Simpsons it really doesn't work.
  12. I have no idea how you can say that because it felt exactly like a Ghostbusters movie to me. The sfx of the ghosts seem to follow the same style as in the original, the theme song is there, the proton streams look the same... As for the jokes, I actually think they were alright. I think the problem was that they were badly edited together. If the editing of the trailer was better, they'd have had more impact. And here's some proof that it's the editing that's off, not the jokes:
  13. Actually, it pretty much was during series 5-7. The Doctor isn't really the main character in his own show; the purpose of the companion being there is that we see it through their eyes and how their life is changed because of the Doctor. If you take away the companion from the equation, you're left with very little. Of course, there have been companion-lite stories (The Deadly Assassin, Midnight, the Specials...) but they're treated as one-offs.
  14. Thank God they introduced flesh tones. Just looked at the yellow-skinned Spider-Man figures and they somehow look worse than the Harry Potter ones. The flesh versions of both are massive improvements IMO.
  15. Companions. It's really odd to have the Doctor as a playable character in the game without at least one or two companions. The show is usually always more the companion's story than the Doctor's after all. Even taking into account the classic series, it was more about Ian and Barbara, Sarah Jane, Ace etc...
  16. I bet they were yellow skinned though as opposed to flesh heads.
  17. I'm not sure it looks visually interesting enough really. I could see a small set based on the underground station where it looks like Patty initially works though.
  18. Yes please. I would buy every minifigure of that series.
  19. You're probably right but I just really want to see a LEGO set based on the original Jurassic Park trilogy.
  20. I had a bit of an incident on another forum that has led me to think it might be a good idea to create a thread where people can share if they have a disability. It would be great if the moderators could pin this as it could potentially help those of us who have a disability that may affect the way we post. I'll start: I have a mild case of autism and sometimes it can impact the way I interact with people and engage in conversations.
  21. I hope it's accepted. They need to release an Ideas Jurassic Park set if LEGO won't release some based on the original films otherwise.
  22. Except a whole load of file names were leaked for characters and among them were Amy, Rory and River Song so it seems pretty likely they at least will be released (especially when the level pack is apparently being sold at excessive prices at the moment because it's so popular it's hard to get hold of it now).
  23. Not true. The Heat and Spy were huge hits. The Heat has done well enough to be given a sequel. Between The Heat, Spy and Bridesmaids Paul Feig is basically the American equivalent of Edgar Wright.
  24. I think this film looks great and a lot better than the very average Ghostbusters 2. I can only assume people who say it's going to flop have no idea how much money Paul Feig films usually bring in. If he can do that with original movies, then Gozer knows how much he'll make with this film.
  25. I disagree, there's no way this is going to be a flop. Ghostbusters + Paul Feig should equal a big box office success.
