  1. I'm guessing that means we'll get Lord Vortech as a minifigure then. In response to LEGO Harry Potter announced for LEGO Dimensions, my review of LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4: dalekbusterscreenfivereviews.blogspot.co.uk I also wrote a review of The Dalek Extermination of Earth.
  2. I don't see what's not appropriate about James Bond.
  3. Does this mean that we can expect to see The Beatles in LEGO Dimensions for year three?
  4. They're not doing the Jurassic Park Explorer? That has to be the stupidest decision ever made via Ideas.
  5. Certainly Harry Potter and probably Fantastic Beasts. I can see Harry Potter having more longitivtiy than Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them but it all depends on whether audiences find the Wizarding World without Harry Potter as appealing as the Harry Potter series.
  6. I mean as in a NFC LEGO Movie Batman to play as in the game.
  7. I never said it does. There's other franchises that would alienate big fan bases if they didn't continue them too - Lord of the Rings, for example. Yes, introducing new franchises adds variety but they've got to keep some of the old ones too because they are the reason why many are playing the game. Some people picked up the game for Scooby Doo, a lot would have found Jurassic World appealing and many are crying out for more Wizard of Oz. If they just focus on the new franchises, then they'll lose a lot of people who played the game for the old ones. They'll gain a lot of new players but I think they would find they'd have more playing if they continue the old franchises alongside the new. I'm not saying they should produce loads for the old franchises but at least one per old franchise a year alongside the new ones would provide a better experience in my view.
  8. They announced some packs later but I believe they released pictures of the actual packs during their announcement.
  9. Whilst I agree that they're right to introduce new franchises, I also think if they completely ignore the old ones it will be a mistake as it will alienate the fans of the old IPs. Many people bought LEGO Dimensions primarily because Doctor Who was in it for example so if there's no more Doctor Who content that would mean any Whovian who doesn't like these new franchises will be alienated (having said that, there is evidence to suggest there will at least be a Strax NFC minifigure). Plus it will also leave some exclusions look even more odd. No Marge or Lisa Simpson yet for instance and it stupidly sounds like there will be no Simpsons content this year, so any new Simpsons stuff would probably come next year.
  10. I wonder what other Story Packs there will be as well as Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter? An eight-level Sonic The Hedgehog story would be fun. I think out of the new franchises, the one with the most potential is probably Harry Potter. There are a lot of iconic Harry Potter characters they could do.
  11. There's going to be a Fantastic Beasts story pack? That's brilliant news.
  12. I wonder if it will be similar to Midway Arcade's Adventure World - environments to walk around with games from the franchise available to play? Maybe you'll be able to run around Green Hill Zone and instead of finding the level complete sign there's a TV with a SEGA Mega Drive underneath that you can use to play the first Sonic The Hedgehog?
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep that back for E3. Maybe a special trailer for the Connectables.
  14. The LEGO Batman Movie? Does that mean we're finally going to get LEGO Movie Batman? Also: I wonder if the Connectables might be the old franchises? Perhaps they could be like spinoff levels that add onto franchises that already have level packs - Strax for a Paternoster Gang level, if there was Back to the Future a Back To The Future Part 2 Doc Brown variant for a level based on Doc Brown Saves The World etc...?
  15. Harry Potter, Ghostbusters (2016), Sonic The Hedgehog and Fantastic Beasts are the ones I'm interested in personally. E.T. could be alright but not craving to play as him and couldn't care less about A-Team, Goonies, Gremlins, Mission Impossible or Adventure Time. I hope they're not taking on too many new franchises and there's still room for the old ones. That Strax minifigure better be released.
  16. True. They could have included the 1984 Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 as well for a full-fledged game though. I'm guessing whatever the 'battle arena' is, it will involve wizarding duels in the Harry Potter Adventure World. Imagine being able to duel the Doctor. Sonic Screwdriver VS Wand! I think Story Packs being the Connectables was denied earlier in the thread but it would be cool to have a Hogwarts diorama to place on the Toy Pad. I don't know how a Story Pack would work without Harry Potter though, unless they include a variation of the Harry Potter NFC minifigure (for example, Harry Potter in his Quidditch uniform).
  17. Considering Harry's the main character of Harry Potter, it's not very likely.
  18. They've clearly never watched Miranda.
  19. It would seem odd, unless they go for a level pack based on Order of the Phoenix (where Dumbledore fights Voldemort rather than Harry).
  20. They didn't have the voices from the films though. I don't begrudge Adventure Time getting a level pack (it's great for fans of that show) but I just wish Harry Potter was getting the same treatment. I'd like to see how Traveller's Tales would approach a Harry Potter level now compared to when the last game came out.
  21. The original posted image has disappeared from CMS's post so I thought I'd repost it: Really weird that we get to play the complete movie. Why not make it a separate game? Can't see the Harry Potter picture either on said post: Wow, this is stupid. Why does Adventure Time get a level pack with presumably its main character and not Harry Potter?
  22. A Marvel character perhaps? Iron Man?
  23. Hmm... Ashildr said to the 12th Doctor in The Woman Who Lived 'What took you so long, old man?'. Here, Batman's asking an unseen presence 'What took you so long?'. Could it be a Doctor Who Ashildr fun pack? I'm surprised they made it quite so obvious. I doubt many wouldn't have got those references.
  24. The only problem I have with that is despite being Sarah Jane's adopted son, Luke is a bit of a bland character. I'd rather see Clyde Langer as an NFC minifigure over Luke. As for a vehicle, it could be Sarah Jane's car.
