I can't read this with a straight face, what you've said is so hilariously ridiculous. It's a toy. If you're complaining about education, then what's important here is that the parts spin, not which direction they spin in this specific model by this specific manufacturer. You're complaining about trivia, not education.

Plaster probably not, but buy some white clay and reinforce it with steel mesh, then oven bake it. I dunno the details but I assume it'd work pretty well. Also don't use lead, but pewter. It's a not as dense as lead (~7 vs 11 g/cm3) but the melting point is much lower (~200 vs 327 C) and it's far less toxic and more durable. Alternatively (and likely cheaper) make a silicone mould and then cast some resin counterweights with a bunch of lead shot, then paint over the finished pieces. -

They're solid, so you'll need to get creative -

I've gotta admit, that picture only makes sense when you actually explain what's going on. I feel like it could probably be more visually intuitive -

I was more so wondering about the completed build, namely whether the balls under the counterweight work as well on a carpet as they do on a hard surface -

Has anyone tried it on carpet yet? -

The overturning moment acting on the superstructure would pretty much just be linearly proportional to the moment arm of the load - if you double the ballast, you can either double the load or double the moment arm (horizontal distance) -

Rechargeable all the way, no exceptions. Non-rechargeable batteries should be banned, charging stations are cheap. The set costs $1050AUD, so I doubt that including one more segment per boom would have bumped up the price noticeably. The set has already been shown to be extremely strong by RacingBrick when the counterweights are properly restrained, so I think they really missed out by not having an extendable counterweight to balance the load. The winches are also extremely fast for the real thing, so they could have geared the motors further down or added more wire rope rigging, allowing for greater torque. -

Looks really nice. Does it have the same bendy fork issue that the BMW had? -
lies, open your eyes sheeple but yeah it'll be sci-fi, like the BMW R 1200 GS's B-model I find the LT78 and LT81 names interesting, they seem to be completely original. I wonder if they could be intended as partner sets? The vehicle choices and the corresponding piece counts make it seem possible...

I just assume it'll be another racing car Hell yeah, VTOL spaceship - Lego getting the scoop on all of the secret technologies at Area 51 wait no nvm, i totally misunderstood your comment lmao. Yeah seems to be, I wonder whether we could get a JWST one day with its unfolding bits and bobs, or even some other Martian rovers

I just think you're dreaming a bit too big. I don't think asking for a highly programmable Lego-brand transmitter with all the gadgets and gizmos, and expecting that won't bump up the price, is reasonable. Especially when you look at programmable hobby RC transmitters... those things are EXPENSIVE. In any case, I think the problems with the Liebherr's cost are more based in plastic than electricity... -

Not actually a billion dollars obviously, but the price they currently have is already the way it is, without a programmable physical transmitter. I guarantee they'd up the price even more as a result of including your CC+ idea.
