Review-75075 Microfighters AT-AT
Junior Shark replied to Clonetrooperjerv0412's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, the lack of pictures kinda makes this review a dud. If it was a technology hiccup that'd be fine- but you just lost them. Welcome to Eurobricks! -
I saw "Licensed" and my first thought was- "A-Team Van!" But alas, that's not what this thread is about. I'm a Porsche guy, so my vote goes to a 911 (contemporary or classic), 918 Spyder, or a 917 (917 would be sweet- so much medium azure!! ).

Now let's see some MOCs! Could this be made into a fad?
-
Yeah, I miss the Planets sets. But I also love the Microfighters. Planets had some cool minifigures, and like Sparkart said, the planets themselves have their uses when you really put your mind to it. I stocked up on Death Stars after seeing some of what Shannon Sproule has done on Flickr: Enterprise NX-01: To boldly go by Shannon Sproule, on Flickr Boeing C-15 "Strike Eagle" lunar starfighter by Shannon Sproule, on Flickr

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Junior Shark replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think the likelihood of a May the 4th minifigure can be determined using two factors: Obscurity and Desirability. IMO, the character should be obscure-ish (or unexpected) but with moderate to plenty of desirability (at least for AFOLs)/ a "cool" factor for the layman Lego Star Wars fan. However, too much obscurity probably kills it. Observe: Shadow ARF: Obscure-ish, plenty of desirability/ "cool". TC-14: Obscure-ish, plenty of desirability/ "cool". Hoth Solo: Unexpected, plenty of desirability/ "cool" Darth Revan: Obscure-ish (to the non-AFOL), LOTS of desirability/ "cool" Yularen: Obscure-ish, moderate desirability/ "cool". Judging potential May the 4th figs: Chrome Phasma: Not obscure, LOTS of desirability (from AFOLs at least) Old Luke: Not obscure, LOTS of desirability (from AFOLs at least) San Hill: Too obscure (IMO), and no desirability/ definitely no "cool" (again, IMO). I think Old Luke is too prominent for a May the 4th (but I may be wrong). Though a Chome Phasma is definitely not obscure, I think its desirability/ "cool" may outweigh that. Personally, I would count on an obscure-ish but "cool" character from TFA to be the May the 4th fig this year. Sarco Plank? Bazine Netal? But take all this with a grain of salt, y'know? For all I know I'll be eating my hat in a couple of months when San Hill is revealed as the May the 4th fig. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Toryn Farr isn't a May the 4th minifigure, sooo... But yeah, Yularen is pretty obscure. But San Hill is like a whole new level of obscure (and undesirable, if I dare be so bold). -

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Junior Shark replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
San Hill? Only if Lego were to start picking characters that fall under the banner of: "Completely outside the realm of possibility." -
In no particular order: - Captain Phasma: PEEAAARRLLL! - 2015 Tan Imperial Officer: Lot of hate on this guy for not being gray, but I love him anyway! (Unrelated: I eventually want to see an olive green officer ) - Original Shadow Trooper: These guys were the dopest back in 2008, a year which also marked the first major revision to the regular Stormtrooper minifigures. Man, those all looked so much better than my 2000 ones! - Admiral Yularen: You can't resist that uniform..... - Agent Kallus: The armored torso! The Roman-esque helmet! The chops! - Female Resistance Fighter: I don't know what it is about this one, it just really speaks to me I guess. - My 7140 Biggs & Luke: A simple elegance, a reminder of a lost innocence... Non-Star Wars: - My Classic Space guys: 'Nuff said. - Green Exo-Suit spacemen: Same as above - Indiana Jones Soviet soldiers: SAND GREEN! - 2015 City astronauts: You know you dig 'em. - Prisoner from Tire Escape: MUSTACHIO! - Sinestro: Pink head! Mustache! Sinestro!

Well, this set did something I didn't think was possible: it made the also meh Classic Batcave look good! I was gonna pass on the Batcave for this set, but then this was revealed, and now I think I know what I'm gonna use some VIP early access for....

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Junior Shark replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No, but the set's inventory on Bricklink will include extras. -
Double post, but whatever. My Wal-Mart has all the new Star Wars sets! Got a Galactic Empire BP. Now where's my Brasso....
-
Kalhiki can have my turn, since I just had a turn a couple of guesses ago.

Looking good! However, the use of the 9492 bubble is a little outdated at this point. Unless you prefer it over the 75082 windscreen, of course.
-
Score! Found the Kanan's Speeder Bike set at Target! Thought it was gonna be $24.99, but it was a very pleasant $19.99! Didn't even bother building the bike, but the crates look pretty good. And that new Imperial combat driver... *swoon* Only March set I've seen so far, besides one DC Superheroes set.

[MOC] [Steampunk] Dr. Teslisons Airship
Junior Shark replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Oh man Steampunk in brick form is always enough to induce shuddering awe in me. You make me so jealous with those balloon pieces- I've been slowly accumulating those to make something similar. Those angled cabin windows on the back are solid gold! The red highlights- very classy. -
Solid gold! Love that classic chromed Mars Mission spacesuit. The rear greebly bit looks sufficiently fragile (in a good, rover-y, delicate space machinery kind of way ). The trans-red is different than the trans-blue pieces usually used for solar panels, and it really makes the model pop! Though not the highlight, the minimalist terrain is also very classy. Awesome job! And talk about a kick in the pants- time for me to make some FebROVERy stuff!

Well, It's a short Chewbacca. Short Chewbacca doesn't look right. Try it with a Rebels Wookiee. And no matter if the short legs look wrong or right, that's really the only way to do a young Wookiee. -
(WIP) Modular Banana CO. Corporate Headquarters
Junior Shark replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
As awesome as this looks, you don't need to build a whole modular... just a banana stand. "There's always money in the banana stand." -
There's some delicious Spam that's being spread through several forums. Don't be the last one to the feast!

Awesome! At first, I was like, "I thought the Tartan was a big spaceship?" but then I got to the end of your post. Love the Lambda-esque nose on this puppy. You could totally get a minifig cockpit in there, just use the Tydirium canopy piece (http://shop.lego.com...-Tydirium-75094). Did you model the nose on this after the set? Also, I think the engines could use some beefing up. They look a little bit like Star Trek warp nacelles right now.
