For sure this is my favorite. I like his sad-old-man face and patched pants.

Excellent figure. It looks great to me, I'd like to see printed legs but can't think of anything currently available that would work. The parts you've used for the figure work wonderfully to create the character.

Starting to dig at square A11

"I think it's time to head to the shore and find that pearl. We will stop back here in two nights to get your shovel."

Cinna nods and then turns back to the stranger. "Thank you for your offer, but it doesn't seem like it will save us any time right now. Do you happen to have a shovel on you right now that you'd be willing to sell?"

Cinna speaks to her companions. "Well, the necromancer said he would give us the powder we need if we give him the pearl. The pearl is on the shore where we found the scorpion. We (well,I) just need to keep digging until the pearl is found. However, this deal will not get us the powder tonight which is what I was hoping we could do. The Demonic Dust I believe we are headed to the bog to collect, which would also make it free. It doesn't seem like he is going to save us any time by fetching either of these items for us. I'd like to hear more from the rest of the team before deciding."

What a beauty. If I didn't have to work, I'd probably just stare at these photos all day.

Thank you everyone. I'm planning to refine the legs mod a little more but wanted to at least show you what I was doing. I'm glad you all seem to like the saddle too, I think it really makes a huge difference (improvement) to the look of the horse overall, especially if a figure is riding the horse which looks realllllly strange without a saddle.

Excellent review and love the pictures. I was so excited by the accessories and animals in this set that I had to run out and buy it on Monday.

These films are wonderful. Not only the animation but the cinematography, sound, lighting, storytelling. I don't think I've ever managed to sit through a whole 15 minute brick film before. As someone who is just getting started in brick animation, this really gives me something to strive for. Thank you for sharing and I hope you'll be around Eurobricks to inspire us

It's funny that everyone seems to hate that the Friends figures have to stand on (in) the horse. It seems like everyone has forgotten that minifigs also stand in the horse! The difference is that on a minifig horse, we don't notice because of the saddle. I really like the look of the Friends horse, so I set out tonight to create a modification. My goal was to create a saddle that could be used on the horse and look decent. I also wanted to get a Friends minidoll to sit, and so I had to make a modified minidoll too. Click the photos to see the larger version. Jake is glad he can finally sit down on his fancy new horse. Andrea is also happy she can sit on her horse! Here are the actual modifications I made. I've manged a first version of independent legs for the Friends figs. Really I think TLG could have done something like this and it would be so much better than the single leg. I will be refining this design and updating this post when I have something new.
