"unfortunely we do not have golden scorpion venom we can sell. We are looking for a witch out here that we hope can help us to save this poor boy. He was badly injured by a crab on the beach. " -

Yeah everybody has different uses for different sites. I'd hate to send someone like my mom over to Bricklink, she'd be so confused. -

I've purchased a few parts on S@H that were cheaper than Bricklink. White lampost, new baseball cap, animal hero forge masks, those rubbery spike things used on Ninjago and hero forge, blank light bley torsos. Also it can be a lot cheaper on shipping if you need many parts in bulk versus bricklink where one store probably doesn't have all you need. Additionally, earning VIP points. -
I don't have an exact count but I'd guess over 3000. I know I do have more than 2800 torsos cataloged, that is what I keep track of most diligently. Based on recent purchases and the box of "yet to be cataloged" torsos, that would easily bring me over 3k. As for storage, I don't keep many figs built. I have a few favorites/customs/current project figures in a case and a separate display case for each of the Collectible Minifigures, by set. Everything else is stored by part (torso, legs, heads, etc). Most parts are in small tool organzers by color, torsos are all in one bin but sorted in baggies by color and theme, heads are sorted by print (bear, clean shaven, glasses, female, pirate, monster,...etc). Oh and in general I don't build armies. ten of one design is usually my limit unless I'm working on something very specific that requires more of the same torso.

This is wonderful. A Skyrim community build would be fun...but man I wish I Had more time to build. When I scrolled down to the picture of the tower top I thought "YES! Perfect"

Yeah the mini modulars are almost the right scale for microfigs.

I think that Bloomberg photo will do more damage overall than any of the stupid petitions. Most folks are visual, and they will see that cover many times while out and about (news stands, book stores, doctor offices). It could really turn off a mother to buying these sets because "the dolls are huge compared to what my son plays with". I agree, even though I'd seen many comparison photos, I was very surprised by how small the minidolls were in my hands when I got one.

Cool. I love light paining. Yes, "HDR!" is a great compliment too.

Cool, thanks for the close up link.

Cinna stores the horn safely, sheds a silent tear for the rude but noble unicorn. She speaks in hushed tones to the rest of the group, with little emotion (though she tries to be somewhat cheerful for the team, the weight of the mission is draining the joy from her words). "Great job everyone. I was worried, but we managed to take care of this dark deed quickly enough. Bartholomew, we need to get you a magic weapon sometime, but I hope you enjoyed the little break. Now, let's get going to the bog and find that witch!" -
Excellent work. I don't know about you, but when I do a photo and everything is "in-camera", then get accused of "photoshopping" it, that's a total win. It takes a lot of skill to mold the light "on-set" and get what you want out of the camera with enough perfection and detail that you can actually fool people into thinking you spent days on the computer. Then you get to explain how you really did it and it's double-sweet. Anyway, just wanted to say great work (photo and the layout/idea).

Thanks. It cost me around $80. I had all the basic parts and the dark red slopes I got extras and so was able to resell 40 to cover the cost of the ones I kept.

I finished building mine today. The two major changes I made (because of cost) are the white panels - I used a newer version, and the barred door - I used a yellow version. This is the panel I used, it looks almost the same as the original panels. http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=90232&colorID=1 Having nothing to do with cost, I also gave the first floor an interior. With those large window, I thought it looked really silly to be viewing just green baseplate through it. [Flickr]

"Wow guys that was one crazy fight. " Cinna pants weary from the magic bursts. "Does anyone need a potion? This beast will surely become undead at any moment. We need to wait for him to become undead before we can remove the horn so nobody touch it yet. " -
For the Drow Gladiator Games, Wolftracks Company of Mitgardia has sent "The Claw" to be their champion. "The Claw" is a former client of the Wolftracks Company. He is a feared king of his tribe. A few years ago, Wolftracks was hired by his tribe to locate his missing son. They found the bandit kidnappers and saved the young goblin. When they brought him back safely to the king, he made the Wolftracks Company blood-brothers of the tribe. When approached to be in the gladiator games, "The Claw" was more than happy to assist his blood-brothers and the land of Mitgardia.

I had all the basic parts, bought a few of the uncommon parts on Bricklink. The most rare parts I got on eBay and through S@H customer service. Total I spent about $80. I did not buy the instruction booklet, just downloaded from LEGO.

This is great. The Tumbler is probably the most interesting wheeled vehicle I've seen in the Batman films, and you've done an absolutely wonderful job shrinking it. It looks perfect. Now LEGO need to come out with a Batman game so you'll have an appropriate microfig.

Yeah $79.99 in USA. Also an FYI that i did look up the parts value for the set on Bricklink and it came out over $175 of last-six-months sold average.
