  1. "Oh right, I should have thought of that." Bluto will attack Scarab A with Harpoon from back row.
  2. "Ah great try guys. I'm glad my plan to take out goldie first worked quickly. Excellent work Bluto, great job putting them to sleep!" Battle Order Cinna Thormanil Bartholomew Thothwick Bluto I will attack Scarab A with Nimbus Broomstick from back row. Bluto will attack Scarab B with Harpoon from back row.
  3. Bluto will attack Scarab C from the back row with the Harpoon. I don't think the Dread Hat will stop a free attack, so Thothwick please attack Scarab D.
  4. Bluto will attack Golden Scarab from the back row with the Harpoon.
  5. It's probably been said before (I didn't go through the thread end-to-end to check), but these figures aren't for girls who are already into LEGO. They are for girls who are into polly/bratz/etc. As far as I can tell, this theme is meant to get more girls into LEGO not keep the ones already here. Those of us who are already fans (of any age, gender, race) will keep being fans of the system no matter what themes they come up with. Some themes we will like, some we will hate, some we will buy on clearance for parts. The point of Friends is that 1) Open the system up to new fans who previously didn't like LEGO because the minifigures "all look like boys" or "are short and fat" [i've heard both these comments in the real world from little girls] and 2) Give us some cool new animals/plants/accessories and some great new colors outside a licensed theme. Friends is for Girls what Ninjago is for Boys.
  6. What a great looking bulk lot. At a glance I see some figs from my "want" list. I don't like the shoebox-style $1 tubs. I like the Sterilite locking/stacking tubs in different sizes. Be sure to check out the storage thread as it has a lot of useful ideas and opinions on sorting and storage.
  7. That is a valid point. This leaves Bluto free to attack the Golden Scorpion. ooc:(am I controlling Bluto's actions?) Battle Order [updated] Bartholomew Cinna Thormanil Thothwick Bluto
  8. Sandy In regards to an enemy's free hit if they are not targeted - will the enemy attack anyone in particular, the first person in the round, or is it random? Nevermind it's in the first post of this thread.
  9. "Aahhhh!...Oh that one is pretty." I will attack Golden Scarab with Darkness from the back row. Battle Order Cinna Thormanil Bartholomew Thothwick Bluto
  10. Trust me, Cinna will have no heart left by then.
  11. After a not-so-restful night's sleep, due to dreams of digging until her fingers fell off, Cinna awakes and glares at her shovel a moment before resuming her task. "Here we go, wish me luck boys. Since that's all you can do to help. Who's making breakfast?" She smiles as much as possible and heads over to the area next to her last failure hole. C15
  12. How much does this set go for? This set has some parts in good colors for system builders like me It's not my favorite Hero Factory villain, but I think a small set like this with all these neat colored parts is always welcome.
  13. "Alright, we will stay here tonight and find the scorpions as soon as they come out for some sun."
  14. "Oh goodness. Now I am all sweaty for nothing. I think we should head back to town now, if we can get there before daybreak then we can go to the Necromancer's. However, if you guys don't think we can make it to town before the end of the night then we will sleep until morning as suggested."
  15. "Why take a break?" C4
  16. "Well shucks, these are some good-at-hiding scorpions." Moving on to B4 OOC: Do we need to worry about re-digging a spot in case they run around or just one dig and move on?
  17. I like the licensed sets because of parts and figs. Some great new expressions, even if the faces aren't yellow, are always welcome in my LEGO room. Just like most everyone, I don't like the higher price per part of the licensed sets though. Having said that, I think an over-saturation of licensed sets may happen for 2012. I will be disappointed if there is no new action (because of superheroes), no new pirates (because of PotC), no new space (because of SW), and no new castle (because of LotR)...well all we have left is Dino and City which isn't one of my top themes (though 2012 will see me buying a few city sets)! I do realize Ninjago isn't licensed but it has the same feel as there is a such a huge story/world to it so I call it self-licensed by TLG.
  18. "Bluto, this thing looks as big as you, but if you can use it great!" I will search at location B3 next.
  19. They are in white in a few sets, mostly Atlantis. If you can find the set on sale at TRU (which is where I went this morning, on sale at $42 with BOGO50% giving me extra discount) it is by far the best way to get ahold of these because there are 83 of them! The next highest concentration is in Diagon Alley but that's a $150 set. The City of Atlantis set has a lot of really good parts and some unique minifigures. The pearl gates are unique to this and only two other large Atlantis sets (neither of which I have seen on shelves in a while). http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=92947&in=S
  20. I love end of year sales! Only spent $150 x2 City of Atlantis x2 Catwoman Catcylcle City Chase x2 Superman vs Lex x1 x1
  21. I will move to section C3.
  22. 4 Joker makes a withdrawal... (Build by TooMuchCaffeine) 1 point 12 Killer Croc's Killer Croc (Build by Patriot720) 2 points
  23. Yeah I should have done that, was just posting too quickly, my bad. I apologize. I can't recall where the press release came from that the company admitted they did not actually draw on the minifigs but had done it in Photoshop, it's been quite a while since I read it. If I do come across it again, I will post a link here. They really do look cool and It would be awesome if lines this fine were possible to print on a minifigure arm.
  24. Thanks all for the comments. It's just a wood facade, it's stone inside. The dwarves are clever, the humans REALLY wanted to do the whole thing in wood!
