  2. The whole thing is great, but I especially love your kitchen.
  3. Battle Order Cinna Hoptet Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Cinna: attacking Red Dawn with Darkness from back row. OOC: Ah thanks!
  4. "Argh, full health. I think I'll keep my distance from those chicken legs, they are a bit strong for me to tangle with." Battle Order Cinna Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Hoptet Cinna: attacking Red Dawn with Darkness from back row. OOC: The special attack for the chicken legs, does it ignore rows and always do full 20 damage?
  5. Thanks! I wasn't sure anyone noticed those ;) Her armour is suppose to resemble a decorated Christmas tree.
  6. Yes I was very unimpressed by the hotel and the front desk staff. I would go so far as to say that I hate Westin. however, I will be staying there this year again because it's nice to just be around with everyone at all times without having to worry about driving sleepy (or drunk, if you drink).
  7. This is pretty cute. Nice idea to use those arches to keep the purple colors going even for wings.
  8. Battle Order Cinna Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Hoptet Cinna: attacking Bright Day with Darkness from back row.
  9. Love the way you did the murky water and the dock/stairs in the front.
  10. "That really hurt. Guys, please make sure you target someone that hasn't been targeted before we overlap. I do the most damage against Bright Day and plan to keep targeting until he is defeated." Battle Order Hoptet Cinna Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Cinna: attacking Bright Day with Darkness from back row.

  13. This is really cute. I can hear ole Drac yellin' "keep it down you horrible kids" or something of the sort.
  14. The last thing I remember buying before dark ages is a red and a blue bucket when i was in 8th grade (won $50 in a raffle) and almost everyone made fun of me being too old for LEGO. I'd say I really stopped in highschool not because of feeling too old but just having other interests and only so much time and money. I got back into LEGO due to a photo contest on a dgrin.com in Nov 2009. The theme was "Comedy or Tragedy" and I was having a difficult time coming up with an idea for my photo when suddenly it hit me that a scene from Hamlet using LEGO figures would be perfect and fun. Since it was 10pm on the night the photo was due, I didn't have much hope to pull it off but ran down to Walmart and picked up one set (Crackin Attackin) and used a few parts I found in my niece's small collection and my old stuff. Photo turned out well (I was happy with it). Since then it's been nonstop buying, selling, building, and overall AFOLing it up at my house. My husband doesn't like to do anything with LEGO but does enjoy my Flickr stream more since I started building.
  15. This is just beautiful. I love all the inner details, outside details, everything is perfect. Great melding of the two style and the druid changing the lava to ice is so perfect. Great job.

  17. We will go straight towards the watery glimmer.
  18. We will continue to the right
  19. "Yes, let us head to the right first." ooc: sorry about the delay.
  20. I stopped by my local TRU to pick up these promos and they are pretty cool. I've been working on adding them to the Bricklink catalog this evening. My favorite part is that the set came with dark orange kitten. Least favorite part is that it came with a sticker sheet - I was really hoping for a printed "lemonade" tile which would have been super cool.
  21. I like the modern look of the new one. It looks very similar to my dSLR This new part is officially in the Bricklink catalog now :)
  22. Intersting if the new camera has been in sets last year. I have had three copies if that impulse set and all had the old camera. Also I wonder why none of the sellers on Bricklink seem to have noticed - there still is no new entry for the new camera. I'll be submitting the new camera info to bricklink tonight though. It does appear that both cameras have the same Lego element ID
  23. That is the old camera.
  24. As some of you may know, there is a new camera. I first saw it in LEGO Friends: Emma's Design Studio, but I'm sure it will make it's way into many other sets this year. The new camera is not one of the biggest hyped changes, as a matter of fact, many people don't even know it's a new mold. I thought it would be nice to see it in close-up view and in use by some minifigs, and I thought you might be interested to see it too. I hope this review can enlighten some of you that may not have known about the new camera. Please feel free to leave your comments too! For all you non-reading folks - each of the images is clickable to open a high-res version (1600px) of the image. Jimmy Olsen and Peter Parker are visiting the zoo today to help us compare the new and old minifig cameras from LEGO. The new camera is found in the Friends sets. Here we see the relaxed position. The camera on the left is the new, on the right the old. As you can see the new camera allows total movement on the hand. The old camera the hole on the grip is too narrow to allow it to move over the hand. In the upright photo-taking position you can see the real issue with the old camera. A minifig could never get a straight horizon line! with the new camera we can get a nice straight camera right in front of the minifig eye. I'm sure we can expect many much better photos from minifigs now. Here are the close-up photos I promised you. It's always in groups of two, and the new camera is always on the left. The new camera looks a lot like a modern dSLR. It has the larger rounded flash area, a lens release, a rounded grip on the left, and a smaller shutter button. The main improvement, though, is the grip gap. This is the part of the new design that allows the camera to pivot completely on a minifig hand.
