  1. I have yet to actually encounter a minifigure that brings out the hate in me, but I really just hate the concept.
  2. Last I watched was The Grand Budapest Hotel. There are still a few Wes Anderson films I have yet to get around to watching. My plan is to see Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets next.
  3. I thank you for putting that so concisely.
  4. I hate the idea of exclusives, too. In fact, I don't really like how some minifigures are only available in the largest, most expensive sets. People jack up the price on these as well. And when it comes to licensed minifigures, you can't just order the parts on Bricks & Pieces. There needs to be a better way to get minifigures.
  5. That's a reasonable point.
  6. I'll just put what I hope to see: New: Deer Reuse: Goat I'm pretty excited about the big cats this year, and the mountain cat for next year. There is also a bear, but no word on the color yet (I'm expecting black). And I wouldn't be surprised to find a new mouse / rat mold with Series 18's Elephant Suit.
  7. I like the idea of mining for minerals, copper, or silver. I'm not really on board with the fossil fuels. I'd rather see a wave of City sets focused on environmentally friendly sustainable energy sources, like a building with solar panels or a wind turbine. Overall, I like the idea of a mountain theme, if only because I hope it will include plenty of browns, greys, and greens. Hopefully the vehicles won't be too garish in color scheme, that's been a deterrent for me with the current Jungle wave. But the big cats are nice, and I'm very excited to add another to my collection in 2018 (and, of course, a bear).
  8. I think a couple more like the Pet Shop, 2 16x32 buildings that can be separated, would be fantastic. A small shop on the bottom floor of one, and residences everywhere else. The Pet Shop is so versatile because of this. Aside from that, a hospital would be great to see. I'd also like to see a garage for auto repair and maintenance.
  9. I feel the same, mostly. I am excited for the series, if only because the movie series minifigures are yellow skinned, and this series will provide a lot of fun and interesting parts just about everywhere. But yes, Sushi Chef is far above the others in terms of a complete minifigure and the most useful parts all around.
  10. Ah, I guess it pays to actually watch the trailers. As for the sleuthing on the trading cards, good job! Lots of interesting details. Too bad there are so many stickers, though. Yuck.
  11. To answer your questions, I'd prefer to see Blacktron done like this: Shadowy space pirates. Angular and sleek, with engine details and some greebling. Black and yellow color scheme, with trans black canopies and dark / light grey engine components. Pitted against Neo-Classic Space explorers / colonies and aliens that are being contacted by the explorers / colonists. That's just how I see it.
  12. Out of curiosity, why do I keep seeing his name written like this? Do they pronounce his name like that on the show or something?
  13. What I would have liked is a Stone Clay without all the lightning.
  14. Fair enough. This is the far better looking and more iconic version anyhow. And you've done a really good job with it.
  15. I love this, and seeing it inspired me to watch the movie (which I had been putting off for some reason). Really well done. I'd love to see a 1968 version. Any plans?
  16. They will be evenly distributed at the start, as there is an equal number of each figure. After people start picking out their favorites, the distribution will shift, and the most popular ones will be slightly more rare because of it.
  17. I said this in the Future Thread as well, and I believe the discussion belongs there, but here it is again: Not sure if these characters will appear elsewhere, considering this line:

  19. The only real complaint I have regarding minifigure printing is that there is an abundance of full minifigure printing. What I mean is that the print goes from torso to legs in such a way that using either piece independently doesn't look right. For many characters, that's just fine, and in some cases it's preferable. But I would like to see a little less of this to increase the versatility of the torsos and legs as independent pieces. And I'd never want to see stickered minifigures.
  20. That picture makes it look so much taller than I was thinking. Thanks for posting.
  21. My opinion: Minifigures do not receive too much attention. That said, more attention could be given to producing new bricks and pieces for building, and producing them in a wider variety of colors. As for prints, someone here once put it brilliantly. To paraphrase: If the design is something I like, I want it printed. If the design is something I don't like, I want it stickered.
  22. Those are so awesome. Looks like a Nexo Knight!
  23. Thanks for the additional pictures! Great job!
