  1. Fair enough. I'd prefer that, too! But in the meantime...
  2. Thanks, I didn't want to delve into the many older pages looking for the confirmation. I just remember there was a debate about what the figure in question would be.
  3. Maybe the Eagle Suit will be the 'American' minifigure rather than the Fireworks Suit.
  4. This is very cool. The Mad Max universe is excellent subject matter for building in LEGO, and you did a good job of it.
  5. The only reason I want the Elephant Caravan is the elephant. I'd be just as happy if they made a new set that included this animal. And honestly, I'll say the same for Mill Village Raid and the goat, although I actually do like the set.
  6. I never understood this mentality. It's just saying that you want the next one to be different so that yours is still valuable. I'm with kibosh in saying I'm sorry you spent that much so recently, but there's never a good reason that a new group of people shouldn't have the same thing the old group got (especially when we're talking about plastic bricks). There's no real good reason to change anything, aside from actual updates to the build. Arguably a few updates could have been made here, but they are really unnecessary, and I believe the point was to avoid the additional costs of a redesign.
  7. I agree that individual themes are superior to one-off sets in a theme. It does seem sort of random. The thing about prints and parts here is true as well, and may lead to a higher price. Since you can't reuse a lot of the prints, additional prints at additional costs becomes necessary. This could be mitigated somewhat when you consider multiple waves, but I still think prices would be higher and the likelihood of seeing this would be lower.
  8. Fair enough, but my understanding was that this employee had seen some internal leaks.
  9. OK now that's a good idea. As much as I want a full-blown Castle theme, I'd be very happy to see nice builds with new pieces and minifigures at a rate of 1 or 2 sets a wave. I'd also be happy that people could get the same satisfaction from their favorite old themes like Adventurers, Pirates, Space, and more. Just a note, I didn't see Western in that list. I think that was a bit of an oversight, especially with the variety that was included.
  10. Yes, the Spider Suit was also confirmed to me by a store employee. I'm not sure the Firework Suit was confirmed, all we knew was that there would be a suit related to Americans and the 4th of July, so it could just as easily be an Eagle or Uncle Sam as far as I can tell. Then again, I might not be remembering properly, maybe it was confirmed.
  11. Those limitations are exactly why Castle sets in the Creator theme would do nothing for me.
  12. This seems like a discussion for a Seasonal sets thread.
  13. Well here are 4 to get started: Castle (375): Elephant Caravan (7417): Mill Village Raid (7189): Tower of Orthanc (10237): A historical set with classic heraldry and visors. Elephants. Goats and other animals. And one of the most awesome towers ever released...
  14. Gift wrap could certainly explain the pattern.
  15. Exactly, or a Brown Bunny Suit. They already recolored that bunny ears piece a couple times, so why not?
  16. Not sure. I thought it was just a an issue within the photo, but upon closer inspection in other photos I can see that it does indeed look like it has white polka dots all over it. Strange.
  17. I don't get the whole Lester thing, but whatever. I think Robert8 could be right about a Chicken Suit variant. Not necessarily as the 1 per box figure, but I could see variants of old costumes used to fill at least a slot or 2.
  18. So what do we know so far? Anyone care to recap?
  19. Thanks for the photos. A little blurry, a scan would be great if anyone else has one, but it's still good to get an idea of what this is going to look and feel like. And honestly, I'm really into the black, but I'm not into the green, so there's a lot that's lost on me. I hope a lot of the detail on the villain sets will be stickered because of that.
  20. There are a lot of different ideas, but Classic Castle, Space, and Pirates seem to come up often (even outside of this thread).
  21. I don't know, each of the sets is different enough, and there is demand...
  22. This is good for the people who buy LEGO to build, a much more important segment of the LEGO economy than those who buy for resale. This makes me happy, even if I'm not particularly interested in this specific model.
  23. They may celebrate the secular celebrations, but those holidays are undeniably religious in origin. But I guess that logic works for them, and makes for good sets, so I'm not complaining. This is awesome news, and I'm so excited about it. I really hope that at least one more of his sets makes it through. You would think so, but as said above he is uninterested. It's too bad, because his sets are very well designed and he would do well in the company, but I do understand his reasoning.
  24. Indeed, should be no trouble for Nexo Knights.
