  1. No, but that wouldn't mean it can't. There have only been a few licensed series so far as it is, so venturing into a video game based CMF series wouldn't be going too far. And they have done more video game based products recently, including the Dimensions Midway Retro Arcade, and Dimensions Sonic the Hedgehog. And don't forget, an entire line of products based on Minecraft that includes a couple of "Skin" packs with 4 minifigures each. I don't think it's a stretch to think that this product line could include a CMF series. That said, I much prefer unlicensed CMF series and hope for more of those rather than more of these types of licensed CMF themes.
  2. He doesn't specifically talk about cost, but I extrapolate from @Nabii's post that a new print costs about the same as making a part in a new color. Also, it's easy to see why there is a repetition of prints (on some characters) as this theme was actually over-budget on these types of things. Perhaps they should have allotted a larger budget? I'm sure a lot of us will feel that way about our favorite properties, but from the looks of this wave it seems that they already allotted quite a large budget to this theme.
  3. I love the scale of this set. It is massive! I'm looking forward to seeing more sets that use the rollercoaster concept. I've ridden a rollercoaster called the Ninja before, maybe LEGO will eventually do a Ninjago rollercoaster! One small element I really like is the hat on the ground. A nice touch!
  4. The train tracks would be perpendicular to the street.
  5. Most sets I put away to build later because I lack space. Some sets I build and keep around for a while. Eventually, sets will be put into storage, sometimes built, sometimes in pieces. And at last, the sets will all be broken down for parts and sorted in the end, with very few exceptions.
  6. This is so very accurate, I love it.
  7. I think it's entirely possible, as there are a large number of playable characters in the game with multiple appearances.
  8. OK, while I understand the points here, the minifigures in the Hogwarts Express set are inaccurate. They are the only really inaccurate minifigures in the wave so far. So while it's a small gripe, it's a valid one. They repeated them from the Aragog set (where they are accurate), and it is understandable from a budget standpoint that this kind of thing would be inevitable. But I think it's still a reasonable point of criticism and not entirely childish crying and moaning.
  9. A new season of Legendary Defender drops on June 15th. I'm hoping for an announcement around that time.
  10. I don't understand why some people just want to shut down the criticism of others. Are we only to post praise in these threads? That said, I think they did a fantastic job despite the 2 inaccurate / repeated minifigures and have nothing really to complain about.
  11. Yeah, that stinks.
  12. Actually not a bad idea. But I am used to LEGO skimping on dual molding and things like leg and arm printing at this point.
  13. I just saw a picture of a small set, 70 pieces, that is basically just a Tyrannosaurus Rex on a small stand. Does anyone know anything more about this? How will it be available?
  14. The first season was really good. I greatly enjoyed watching all of the episodes, including the Barbie focused episode. I think I'll really enjoy the second season as well. Of course, the LEGO Episode is probably the one I've been looking forward to the most, but the others should all be entertaining as well. And it drops tomorrow, that will be great!
  15. Endermen. And yes, I agree. There are some interesting parts in the Minecraft theme.
  16. There is crossover, sure, but that is usually pretty rare. Most examples fall into one category or the other. Star Trek = Science Fiction Lord of the Rings = Fantasy Things like Star Wars (which technically falls into Space Opera and is an amalgam of many things) are generally considered to be Science Fantasy, which is more akin to Science Fiction with Fantasy elements. He-Man falls into this category, with a barbarian flavor. The old Visionaries cartoon is also in this sub-genre. Steampunk can ride the line a bit, but it depends on how advanced you allow the steam technology to be. Traditional Steampunk is more Science Fiction though, since it revolves around an era much more advanced than the medieval. Some steam-based tech can work well with medieval fantasy, however. So again, while there is some occasional crossover, and a few sub-genres that fall in between, there is a pretty clear delineation between the two genres.
  17. I really hope it isn't a stepping stone to WOW. While I agree that WOW could bring in some nice parts and minifigures, there are a lot of things that would be very specific (I'm not into the elves with long ears and eyebrows), and it would likely be at the expense of a Castle theme.
  18. I'd love to see an MCU M.O.D.O.K!
  19. This will likely cover LEGO as a whole. The show covers a variety of toy brands, a different one in each episode. It's worth a watch.
  20. Do you mean like the Star Wars buildable figures?
  21. I think the point was more about exclusive versions of the minifigures that are already in the set. To do that, they would have had to use more appropriate minifigures in the Hogwarts Express set. Then both sets would have exclusives.
  22. Exactly. They can be more easily applied to a medieval inspired era than futuristic technology. At least that's my opinion.
