Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
x105Black replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
And BrickJagger started a thread because a LEGO Store employee told him we were getting a new Castle theme, which didn't pan out (we got Nexo Knights instead). Both good to hear, if true.- 4,155 replies

That's a genius idea! I certainly don't mind. He's one of the best looking minifigures in the theme! Overall, unimpressed. It doesn't look much better than the first wave. The Volcano is a much better set than either the Fortrex or Evil Mobile, but there's not much else to be excited about. More Ultimate Rock Candy Knights, more garish color schemes. At least the Ash Attackers, Jestro, and Lance are still around.

completed.

Where was this confirmed? That would make me happy, as well. I see the Brickset article seems to indicate that he is a minifigure, but they may be using that term loosely.
-
If that's true, then the 4 minifigures are: the Book Carrier, Lavaria, & 2 Ash Attackers. Still want details about Jestro. It's amazing how much it has changed in that time.

Printed arms would always be nice for characters with arm details. Sadly, they limit these to the more expensive sets.

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
x105Black replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The main issue to me is value. If the sets come with minidolls that I will not use, then the sets lose value. It would be worth it to me to buy them if they came with minifigures, as the sets themselves are nice. I wish there was a way to trade in minidolls for minifigures, or to get a version with no minidolls at a discount. -
That's true. It's also the nature of the beast, in that minifigures look much better than minidolls.

Nuts, I was hoping for the Luggabeast to be done like the Dewback. Also hoped for Lor San Tekka in this set. At least Teedo and Plutt are included. Hopefully it could bring the price down on BrickLink for those who didn't buy any sets he's in. Hoping we get him in the Dewback style as well! I'm not a fan of brick-built creatures.

Agreed. These are hardly descriptions. I'd like to have a description of Jestro from the Volcano Base.

I can understand being put off by such a small thing, it happens to me quite often. But as far as the holes go, I don't really find them to be that noticeable or distracting. Since I'm not into elves (even though I do build medieval fantasy), it's the elf ears that ruin the pieces for me. They are otherwise beautiful.

Spoilers for sets, as soon as you know anything you should share! Spoilers for the movie, I'd say it's fair game at this point.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I agree. I'd expect normal legs, but even if they use the skirt and the short legs, it should look fine.- 4,155 replies

True, and I'm hoping that this happens. I'm also hoping that they add minifigure parts, as I didn't see any torsos or legs when I searched.

Bricks & Pieces is still down for the holidays (for purchases, you can still get replacements for missing or broken bricks). But you can look at what is available if you follow through for replacements. Sadly, there are some things that aren't going to make it. I didn't look for squirebot pieces, as I have no interest. But Lance's visor wasn't there, despite other visors being present. Shield pieces (unprinted) were there, as were the pyramids.

It is much bigger than I expected it to be. When I saw the build in the store, I was a bit surprised that it is as wide as it is. Originally, I thought it was tall and narrow. It still is, but as I said it is wider than I had thought, and bigger overall than I had thought.
