lol, Sensei Garmadon and Evil Wu.... they need a good story for that last one! The Cole set looks like crap. So Cole needs to be bought in the more interesting Cole + Jay set. The copter with Zane's girlfriend Pixal looks like... not fun to build due to much large parts. The dragon is an epic dragon variant with less heads in a darker colour. And as the epic dragon lagging behind the four original dragons design wise.

Question is: who is piloting the ninja? helicopter.... Perhaps is first name is Lord. ;)
-
Wow, that is a really beautiful set. Great exterior and interior. Guess daughter will go nuts when she sees this one....

The dragon looks most interesting. The Cyborgs don't make the cool-cut at the moment. The one in the spider-chair really looks meh.

I guess the seat of the nindroid bike can come off and walk like a spider. The ninja's come with hair, that's the best thing so far. Design wise the bikes are meh-ish, the mech is quite neat, the blue car is a car and the red jet looks like a good friend to jay's blue one. The Ninja outfit design is decent. (no leg print). Waiting on a zane set now :)

Eh, the parts may be neat and all but you need to look at the overall look as well. The bionicle eye would be more funky design wise on the minifig head itself, not on the turban. If you look at the printing it isn't spectacular either. Especially the silver tubing (?) across seen awkward (imo). Then again when the snakes came out it took me a long time to appreciate them but I still only find the Leader-Snakes good, and the rattlecopter a good vehicle. I will wait and see what the new line brings as a whole, dragon being most anticipated.

You people act like that one miniature is the best thing ever Lego did.... lol It is decent, yes. But not thatspectacular. Plus it is too serious gain, the fun and awkwardness of the skeletons is what made the first wave so grand minifig wise. One description mentioned that Garmaddon in his bad days had filled the world with dangers and traps. And we do know that Zane's creator was in service of the skeletons. So it is pretty likely he (with help from garmaddon/skeletons) created the evil nindroid army.

[Ninjago] What are the best sets?
horizon replied to Ragnar_Deerslayer's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Best Ninjago sets? Difficult, here are some of my favourites: Destiny's Bounty (really good looking ship) Fire Temple (architecture) Lightning Dragon Battle (the blue one, in fact all dragons are cool) But things like the snake helicopter, skeleton monster truck, the temple of light. garmatron, samurai mech, are also really good. Heh... perhaps you should read some reviews on brickset? -

Hey, there is already an index for action themes: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=30357 Are you copying that just2good? ;) Would be better if the existing thread gets updated with reviews missing: (Oddly enough just2good is missing these as well ;) ): Monster Fighters 9468 the vampyre castle http://www.eurobrick...c=70192&hl=9468 10228 Haunted House http://www.eurobrick...=73816&hl=10228 I think there are more to be added. -
Heh, the listened to the fanbase I reckoned. And it is a way to have people buy a zillionth variant of the ninja's.

d2c = direct to customer = internet only (lego shop).

Review Monster Fighters 9468 Vampyre Castle
horizon replied to Artanis I's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The train has a lot of glow in the dark items, which is good. The train itself is pretty cool, the follow cars indeed somewhat bland. -
Agreed. With global shipping options these days Lego is 'killing'* local markets/stores. * Note: most people will still do most buyings in the local stores, however internet shopping is getting bigger and bigger and global purchasing isn't that hard to do.

Review Monster Fighters 9468 Vampyre Castle
horizon replied to Artanis I's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Son bought this set last saturday from his birthday money, Build it in two sessions (he's six and I only was allowed to do technic bricks and help with the bigger plates on top of walls), finishing it sunday morning. A really great set, a cool build, lots of play features and richly decorated rooms (which is a really plus). Highly recommended. (I am glad he bought this and not a Chima set. ;) ) -
News LEGO Boardgames 2013 Rumours & Discussion
horizon replied to Wout's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ah pity on that. While we don't own that many Lego games I found all of them very entertaining. But at one point I can see Lego stopping on expanding the range. But hopefully they will keep the older ones available for much longer. -
Hey, son finally got his first Chima sets: a speedorz (Razar) and Crawley's croc thing. While he loves the figures he was somehow dissapointed with the game. Ninjago went of in a first go with maximum playability. Getting the speedorz to work is quite difficult and not easy to master. With this in mind, the higher prize of a speedorz vs a spinner it is not strange speedorz are on sale in a lot of places for spinner prizes. :)
