  1. hmm, I looked more closely and it seems that the left and right side of the Temple can fold inwards (like ancient castel sets per example). That will create a more coherent architectural look I imagine. The box art shows it slightly folded if I am correct.
  2. @ Kai, I meant repeating as in that Kai features in the smallest set again, Jay, in the medium small one, etc. Why didn't they mix that up?
  3. As for designer's lack (in numbers or inspiration): the set build style is the same as serpentine: small: Kai Bike -> Kai robot medium small: Jay fighter -> stone bike with Jay medium large: cole tank -> cole drill large: fangpyre tank with small Zane vehicle -> Garmatron with small Zane vehicle special: samurai mech -> golden dragon
  4. Btw, the box art of the Golden Dragi\on: what is going on with the golden ninja's legs?
  5. Great start! Innovative buying.
  6. With the different eyebrows of the golden Ninja (different then Lloyd, then.... lolz
  7. Weird: Golden Ninja eyebrows... Lloyd grew bigger ones I guess. I like the earth dragon head on the golden dragon. Temple of Light => bricks (dragon windows!) to create a bigger bounty,... hmmm... Kai: for Lord Garmadon four arms I highly recommend Destiny;s Bounty!
  8. KInda iffy for now. The sets seem an afterthought and not meant from the beginning. The Fire Robot does look slick. The Samurai Bike rehashes the Turbo Shredder and Jay is a copy of Kai from the rattlecopter set The Powerdrill looks drillin (the stone parts on the vehicle are neat) The Golden Dragon: the catapult is a copy of the Samurai X Mech catapult. The Golden Dragon with green looks cool, the head a bit to golden, and the golden ninja looks weird at first glance. Garmatron, most innovative set, double tracks. Like this one. The Temple of Light.... what a let down, perhaps it'll grow but... It is so tiny/thin/air. The Fire Temple owns it. Achitectural seen it has no special value as well. The Golden Mech looks slick, the clean brother of samuari mech. The Stone warriors themselves are cool. To have a golden ninja with golden dragon and golden mech is overdone.
  9. Seriously, you added that afterwards... Missed it completely. Which is totally weird since I run an annual competition myself (GothiComp: the online Battlefleet Gothic Painting Competition).
  10. Cool name. :)
  11. Stone army looks like litte critters. Could still be Garmaddon and not Garmatron.
  12. Ninjago tied into Bionicle? http://bionicle.wikia.com/wiki/Mata_Nui_(Location)
  13. The story Lego provides is a starting point. Regarding Ninjago it is a good one and the kids like reading/hearing about it. But when it comes to playing with Lego stories can take all kind of directions.
  14. Hey, good pictures. I really like your building style. In a way it is minimalistic but yet offers a great deal of details. Cool.
  15. Hey, cool. I rebuild all classic space I had 2 years ago (now broken down again, haha). Was pretty cool actually.
  16. Stories can be made and bend. Daughter got the idea that the Monster Fighters will hunt the dragons. So a teamup between Dracula & Sensei Wu might be in order.
  17. Remember those hardcover books we talked about, released in the Netherlands? Well, they are releasing four new books, this time about the serpentine. Plus 4 books with puzzles and alike, including a minifig.
  18. Very well done! Truly a ' creator '!
  19. Dunno, best thing Lego could do is to add the hairpieces for the Ninja's as bonus in the sets :)
  20. This is a really cool build.
  21. Still crap that Nickelodeon over here does not air Ninjago. Though online the first four episodes of season 2 where translated. Ah well, we still have power rangers samuarai, kids are big fans, but I see a bummer coming up regarding Deker & Dayu. ahem... Garmatron will be a cool tank robot build by Garmadon. :) I hope. ;)
  22. Which rumour about Lloyd? I only read there will be a gold ninja. It is people in this thread who theorized it could be a Lloyd NRG or a Sensei Wu or a Garmadon. ;) Good googling will help find you good prizes in the Netherlands. Sometimes Bol offers great discounts. But in general I have a local webshop with low prizes and which I can visit as well. :) Current example, LEGO 9450 Epic Dragon battle: bol.com € 99,99 toyweb.nl € 84,99 playtown.nl € 93,99 while bartsmit & intertoys currently sell it for 99,99 the normal prize is 119,99 119,99 is also a prize on various websites. So between highest and lowest is a difference of a whopping: 35 euro. ahem, so checking prizes helps :)
  23. 4 http://brickset.com/search/?year=2012&query=ninjago 9570 NRG Jay 9572 NRG Cole 9590 NRG Zane 9591 NRG Kai (weapon pack) Next time you do your own searching. ;)
  24. Knowing the fact current sets go from 60 euro to 90 euro for a single item (Destiny's Bounty), since day of release(!), in (web)stores in 1 country (Netherlands) prizes may vary... yes. :)
