Yes. Design and opinion is subjective. So I can say ugly without giving a reason. It is ugly or not. :) I mean, I really like all the current sets minus some things. Perhaps it is the power rangers thing that annoys me. Perhaps it is the ninja have vehicles that annoy me. Perhaps it is both and more. ;)

Oh frell, how can a cool theme like Ninjago get demolished by a new wave. Garmaddon 4 arms = ugly. Snake people = ugly All new Ninja outfits = ugly spinners with extra bit on it = unfair Shrine tolerable Green scorpion mobile = ugly (fits better in alien conquest) Blue jet is nice but totally NOT in Ninjago. Stupid, dumb, crap. Red bike looks much less cool then chopov's bike. The black car looks like a bad technic concept, ugly as heck The green copter looks sleak but same issues as the jet. The boat looks cool but less cool then I hoped for but still the only good set in the wave. I wonder what the kids will say...

Yesterday I bought the book of "Kai" for the kids. 48 pages, akin to the A5 format. Hardcover, full colour. albeit the story is quite known the book adds to the story with small tidbits, I read 17 pages to them so far. It is nice they also have a page on the Kantana, its history and how it is made. Later on it gives mythological facts on the history of Dragons. Nice.

Going py prize these are the new spinners: Lasha Fang-Suei Samurai Snappa Kendo Zane Fire Ninja Kai Training Set & Starter set seem spinner related to. For sets & sizes/pieces: Kai's bike will be like Chopov's skullmotor in size Cole's buggy akin to the TurboShredder - Earthdragon I guess. Same goes to rattlecopter. Jay's set like Ice Dragon/blacksmith Snake Quad is a 'new' prize range. The Ninja flying boat (flugsegler) will be tad bigger then Garmaddons-Fort / Lightning Dragon.

Nice review. Kids got this game last saturday at a lower price (7 euro), nice. Only played it once (busy busy weekend) so far with our 4 year old son. Was fun to do. Nice, clean and quick gameplay. I like the Lego games we have collected thus far (shave a sheep, robo champ, magikus, race3000 and now sunblock). Shave a Sheep is most family fun but the others go well. Magikus is our daughters favourite.

What people seem to forget is that I can order directly in the USA. Shipping will be between 10-20 dollar in most cases. And a lot of times there is no additional VAT or taxes when receiving them. Believe me I ordered various things out of the US. When I order a cheap set it isn't worth it but for bigger sets or several sets it is cheaper to order in the US then to buy in Europe. Including extra cost. So Lego is shooting themselves in the European foot. Except large chains like Toys r Us, they don't ship international, they have setups per counry/region. Not really, most people will still buy in European stores and not do a deal in the US. There are also quite a bunch of small online only retailers in Europe who place orders in the US, save money because of the bigness of the order and then sell the Lego sets under the European LEGO price. Example, Fire Temple. LEGO shop prize: 129,99 euro. I paid 103,- in the Netherlands and I also seen it at 96 euro.

Hi, speaking for my daughter (7 years old). She likes the Ninjago theme. I asked her if she would also collect another theme, short anwer: "No." She likes the minifigures and what you do with them (eg take of ninjamask and give hair, change legs, etc) She liks the building process (but technic parts a little less). She made peace between the Ninja's and Skeletons.... so they can all get a drink at Kai's café.... yes you read that well.

Lending toys is a big no-no, I don't see a reason why to do so. Eilif has a good post but that is very different scope then just lending toys. Especially lego is fragile to lending due all the small bricks. Even in your own house it isn't unlikely to have a brick go into the vacuum cleaner (yes I get it back out.... ieee). Other kids can play with our kids lego when they come over but never take it home with them.

This I understand. Not the differences between US & Europe in pricing. ;)

Heck, Apple can claim bizarre things why not Lego something as that?

What a totally uncool headgear. The 2012 ninjago line is looking to be daft and bleak. Pity. I wonder what the kids will think about it!

You should check the good sites, Fire & Lightning should be around 180 euro together. So that is a saving of 20,- ;) Kids are now collecting for the earth dragon. I think I'll order the lightning for Christmas. How long are exclusives available normally?

What an offence in the second post; That is wrong. I've seen chinese printed torso's being better quality then others. The chinese headpieces have a better fit then the non-chinese headpieces. .. in some cases. If you throw all lego (danish, czech, mexican, chinese, etc) in a bucket, shake it up, you will never pick em apart again from what is what.

My son bought the Wyplash spinner set today and I think Lego did a good job there: * he has his rice hat (the old spinners skeletons like Frackjaw & Krazi did not have the hat). * a bag with an extra set of legs & arms! * a flashy spinner Looking at all skeletons Kruncha is the least cool, all the others are awesome in their own way.
