Seems they,indeed, use the golden weapons to imagine the vehicles. When Jay suddenly loses his jet.... talk about weird concepts, haha. Green Ninja still seems someone else then the 4. I think it is Nya. See is closests to Jay to steal his nunchucks. The Ninja's switch clothes quite often between regular and DX.

Last week kids got the Book of Cole. (Zane is the last one needed). Cole is a friggin interesting personage for a 'kids' line.The writing is pretty good in this one. Nice stories. Oh, they now have the Skull Truck as well. The build & play is better then the images tell.

The spinners are not meant for the minifig collectors, they are meant for the people who like to play the game. Our son has collected a bunch of them through his weekly money and from gifts. Lego marketed it incorrectly in shops, they placed the spinners among the regular sets. They should have placed it at the Lego games section. They should have more 1 vs 1 sets. The spinners in itself are kinda expensive compared to it all, that is true. You can find then at prizes between 7,50 - 10 euro's. At 7,50 it isn't that bad, but you need to find the right internet shop. And for being chinese I highly doubt it has influenced decisions of people buying. Heck, before I visited eurobricks I never would have delved into where parts where made and wouldn't have cared either. Most people don't know about these things. It is a dedicated Lego fan only thing. And some are just weird, like this: "I don't really want to mix them in my collection for consistency reasons." What consistency? Lego is Lego. I'll bring a bucket of Czech, Mexican, US, Danish & Chinese lego and no one will ever be able to tell where they are from. So, it is prize issue only.

Rubbish, the current spinners are high quality and the chinese minifigs have a better head fitting headgear fitting then the non-chinese ninjago minifigs from regular sets.

Hi, Can the discrepancy between US & Europe pricing of Lego sets be changed? It is often cheaper to order in the US and pay shipping costs then to buy directly in a store in Europe. thanks.

Heh, as for the buildings walls I like the 1x1 square better then then 1x1 round brick! So good for you. ;) I would even suggest less variety of colours in it. Imo that is. All over a good moc, well done.

urg & wurg, I looked, I tried, I gave it another chance... but I dislike the majority. The new ninja prints, headgears are just not cool opposed to original & dx. The snake people lack the flavour of the skeletons (with their fun/cool faces etc). The sets are just not 'it', they lack Ninjago. The things that seem cool: the training set has some flava. Lloyd the kid with scared face. Almost look like Kai is defending him vs the rattlecopter. (The booster pack) has a different face). Flying boat (pity of the awkward looking garmadon... otherwise a great set). edit: yep, samurai = nya

I think it is pity the dinosaurus are 'prefab'. After the Ninjago brick build dragons they could have made dino's brick build as well.

Hi, nice review, my son has the set to. It is currently in the jeep + boat modus. The left over bits are neat enough to create whacky fun stuff. Like baby lightning dragons... The orange car is to me the least part of the set. A good thing is that the set offers enough pieces to build a Transformer out of it. I am looking at a possibility to create car which has place for minifig.

Still not sold on 2012 line. Clearer pictures are not making it better. Except the boat ofcourse. Ninja's are ZX in 2012. DX could be related to Dragon (D). ZX to Znake? hah heh ho!

Bought the set a surprise for our son. He wanted a spinner and I gave him spinner + more. haha. Plus both he and daughter now have their own firesword... Easy enough build, only the picture of attaching blades on the axe machine was not the usual clear instruction. Son had a lot of fun spinning Kai and hitting all the objects and skeleton. So, all cool. :)

Printing of DX Ninja's heh, looking through the Lego Catalogue july-december 2011 I noticed something funny. The dragon print on the DX version of the Ninja's is mirrored in some images. The minifigs we have have the dragonhead coming from the left side of the torso, in the pictures you see some with the head coming from the left but others (eg Zane on dragon, cole on spinner) with the dragon coming from the right. Bit weird, noodled and odd, yet funny. :)

Here is a spoiler from the book of Kai, read on at own peril: Before Garmaddon went 'evil' Garmaddon, Sensei Wu and Kai's dad worked together banishing all evil/bad dudes from the country.

Last saturday they bought the earth dragon. It is a nice build. The consideration here is indeed playability over aesthaethics, especially the part where back legs and tail attach. It swoops good though, hehe.

Yeah, I think there will be a second wave in 2012. This as the snake people have no big 'home' place in this wave. In wave 1 2011 Garmaddons Fort In wave 2 2011 Fire Temple (perhaps the dojo could be counted as well) wave 1 2012 : the boat. So one could expect a snake temple at one point.

Art (Lego design can be called that as well) and rating it is subjective and one can say ugly or fine without needed backup. ... anywhoo, I showed it to my kids ( I did not give my views ): daughter : Does not like the new sets, except the new spinners. son : Likes the green scorpion mobile and boat. wife: Likes the boat.
