Kids where happy when I found the Skull Truck for 44 euro in the Netherlands. It is being sold in the major stores for a prize of 59-69 euros. Yes, that is about 80 us dollar. I would rate the set a little higher: Playability: 9/10 (krunch munch that front!) Design: 9/10 Price: ?/10 (depending on what you pay, try to get it under 55 euro). Parts: 7/10 Mini-figures: 8/10 (too much Garmaddons....) Overall: 9/10

Hi, I am glad Mirandir was wrong on the green ninja. :) (He said it was one of the four evolving). Perhaps Lego adjusted it?
-
I still cannot believe people have issues with Lego parts from different parts of the world. Chinese LEGO Ninjago headgear fits better then other countries lego headgear. :)

My son got the lightning dragon for Christmas. Now that's a dragon! And I disagree with something someone (aanchir?) said pages ago. That there was no room for a fifth dragon in the same style as the first four. I think, seeing all 4 in real life next to eachother, that there is room for a proper green dragon in a fifth unique style. Not the 4four headed lump of bricks of next year. And I still think destiny's bounty is the only good set of the 'snake' era.

Dang, BT beat me to it. Fantastic trailer. :)

urgh, with my dislike for the current new batch waning. Kai's bike seems to have some appeal (and the boat remains cool). Lego now releases these daft (dare I see dumb-ish) designs. urgh urgh wirgh The dragon kills all the fun of the four elemental dragons. The mech is unfunny. The tank seems like a frackjaw mobile... which does have appeal to skeletons. Lego killed ninjago to me. :( Ah well, money can go to LotR instead. :)

Pretty cool, LEGO LOTR. Although the miniselection is a bit amiss. And I wonder about prizes. Attack at Weathertop should be more 5 wraiths, aragorn + 4 hobbits. Period. Gandalf on Cart = Must Have edit: moria seems good, white cave troll needs colouring. ;) Also: the way the sets are represented does remind me of how Games Workshop released them for their miniature game.
-
@ Derfel, the age restriction for all three LotR movies is 12+, the age restriction for 5 out of 6 Star Wars movies is 12+ (only Attack of the Clones is 6+ for an odd reason).
-
No worries, I connected on the left (0-12v).

Eh, Pirates are blood thirsty scroundels, knights & errants as well. Oh, if LEGO does release LotR sets I'll have to watch it and not start painting them accidentally like I do with the Games Workshop models... https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_-lraUxY-Hx4/TadC1o4ALeI/AAAAAAAABF0/7fEDVVOG8Kc/s512/IMG_7076.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_-lraUxY-Hx4/TYUXylRTASI/AAAAAAAABDA/Qc67NNaYQm8/s576/IMG_6837.JPG http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51/mcroggles/Display/nov017.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51/mcroggles/lotr/feb047.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51/mcroggles/lotr/feb029.jpg ahem, sorry....

Hey, thanks. 10 dollar? That's a nice prize. I'll try another light brick next, then some different wires to make sure. Then I will test the trafo & engine with a multimeter. I'll keep you posted. Because it was cool to see the thing running again after all those years. Need to build a cool train on top as well.
-
Hi, from this : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49321 Harbak directed me here because of this: I did the light test with one brick, it didn't come on. Did not have time to test another light brick. When I attached the engine directly to the trafo it made the buzzing sound inside but no running of wheels. When I turned the wheels slightly the buzzing stopped. Wiggling the connectors also made sound changes. Guess it is time to open it up. Oh yeah, on the trafo there is the 0-12v exit and the 12v exit (closed), what's the deal with that?
-
Hey,thanks for all of that, the light test is a smart one. Breaking the engine, ouch, ah well, I can almost break down and build up my real life Miata so a Lego train should work as well.... right? :)

Ninjago Booster Packs - 9551, 9552, & 9553
horizon replied to Tung T. Le's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So these are actually add ons for the existing spinners? For almost 6 dollars thingly pricey. But at least you can get some cool figs (which ones? lol) and parts without getting the daft vehicles. -
Heya, sorry for the old death thread arise, but better then a new topic, right? Last weekend my 4yr old son wanted to see my old Lego train in action. The old 7740. While some rail connections snapped due the years ( :( ), all other things seemed fine. Started it up, build a quick model. The thing ran dozens of laps, gaining speed etc. But suddenly.... stop. Nothing. Thing stopped running. I only connected the main wire, so no extras for lights, stops, changes etc. Now the engines makes a humming sound on the track but doesn't move. So it does get power, but it also drops down, then picks up again but never moves. I cleaned a few tracks (alcohol) to make it shiny but this didn't help. However, the connectors on the engine are very brown-ish/ not shiny (so to say). Could this be the issue? Or could the trafo be melted?

omfg that mech is the ugliest thing of all. :/ The arena seems neat though.
-
We APPROVE! Impressive.

Hey, regarding the technic bricks at the back. The Ninjago Fire Temple shows this as well at the same positioning at the back. Perhaps for two of the same sets to be attached together?

REVIEW: 9442 Jay's Storm Fighter
horizon replied to Velika314's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
New torsos are meh-ish. The original ones and DX ones have more appeal. Good review though. -
No, they sold well.

Hi, kids (4&7) are collecting Ninjago, well, they completed what they wanted and my old '80's LEGO is widely available to them to build & play with. LEGO is for fun & play. In my opinion. They want to build, let them build. They want to play, let them play. Lego is generally durable enough to withstand extensive play.
