  1. In terms of this factor 42100 has its fair share of new molds. It has the bucket, the linear clutch female part, the linear clutch male part, the 7x11 frame, and the XL LAs. Based on the available information at the moment the 42131 has one new mold which is the track, although it has many more parts of this new mold. So it's about 5 new molds but in lesser quantity vs 1 new mold in higher quantity.
  2. The ladder is one of the 6 functions. They are independent track drive (which count as 2), blade pitch, blade lift, ladder lift, and ripper lift.
  3. Given 42100 is labeled 12+ that makes perfect sense
  4. Where is the hub placed and how is it accessed (turning on/off and replacing batteries)?
  5. @kbalage Let's say I wanna use Pybrick for the 42100, then how does Pybrick allow for control multiple hubs with one controller? Or do I need two controllers?
  6. It's just business as usual: sellers want to charge the highest price that the market is willing to pay.
  7. Comparison between this set and 42100 - 42131 has 6 motorized functions while 42100 has 7 - 42131 has 1 hub while 42100 has 2 - 42131 has 4 motors while 42100 has 7 - 42131 has 3854 pieces while 42100 has 4108 pieces - 42131 and 42100 have the same price (450 USD and 450 EUR) It doesn't make sense to me.
  8. There is if we consider the most recent two flagship mobile cranes. The 1st one was released in 2013 and the second one 2018. If the 5-year interval indicates any pattern then the next one will be in 2023.
  9. This thing is very likely. I think it's gonna be a RC 42082 with 6 axles and some new fancy stuff. Maybe specialized parts to make a 3 stage telecopic boom.
  10. The news that it has only 1 hub and 4 motors is disappointing. I just dont get it. TLG seems like they want to go all out and push the boundaries as far as possible with recent flagships. They already show that they can do a set with two hubs and 7 motors. Assuming there are certain space constraints that I don't know about, and the set has to be designed like that, the choice of motorized functions is confusing. The previous two bulldozers only have front blade lift. Now that the designer has created an additional drive train for front blade pitch, I assume TLG wants the functions to be as realistic as possible. Then the rear ripper only has 1 motorized function, with fake brick built cylinders pretending to be another function , while the ladder is motorized instead. I'd prefer a proper with two motorized function and a manual ladder. I do hope that I was wrong then.
  11. I only have one for the PF mod, does that work?
  12. This set is the Colosseum equivalent of Technic, but it's less repetitive and more mechanically interesting. With its behemoth blade it will have little trouble pushing all previous flagships aside.
  13. I don't have the set. The photo was posted by another user in the previous page.
  14. Now that black LAs are produced, it's prime time for a flagship reach stacker. And probably specialized part for a 3 stage boom as well.
  15. The new cardan joint in the Zetros is included.
  16. It makes sense for me cuz I like pretty sets for display. I think this set will sell like hot CATs.
  17. I got a deal to buy 42129 with no C+ for 150 EUR. I just emailed all of the vendors on Bricklink that sell that set and propose my terms.
  18. How does a real bulldozer achieve 3 kinds of move with only 2 pairs of cylinders?
  19. I wonder how the second function is achieved, given that the upper layer is clearly brick built.
  20. Looks like the rear blade only has one function. The lower cylinder is a linear actuator, but the upper one is brick built. There seems to be 6 functions: - Raising blade - Tilting blade - Track left - Track right - Ladder - Lifting ripper
