  1. Michael T. designed the B model for 42065.
  2. I don't get why people are so surprised to find out 42070 has dark azure? I saw that and post that here when the images from the toy fair in Jan were out. It's like people keep denying themselves that 42070 uses another new shade of blue or something.
  3. One does not simply fathom the rationales behind TLG's moves.
  4. I'll throw some idea: Combine spare parts after building B models of 42068 69 70 into something.
  5. - Q: What do 42068 42069 42070 have in common? - A: If you like it then you should put a crane on it. Don't be scared every model has a crane on it. Oh oh oh
  6. Wait where did you get that the B model has 4 wheel steering? From the picture on the box it looks like it has rear wheel steering only. But all in all, the A model has 4 gear racks, 3 small LA, 1 big LA, 4 small turntables, 1 big turntables, so many possibilities, and yet TLG settle upon that meager B model.
  7. It's funny that there is no visible hose or nozzle in the 42068 B model, despite the name Fire Rescue Vehicle.
  8. So the boat is for rescue and not firefighting right?
  9. No I mean do real life rescue trucks have boats and if yes what for
  10. But why would a fire rescue truck have have a boat?
  11. OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW THANKS JIM http://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4204/34986661666_03d377746a_k.jpg http://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4247/34894998521_463adbeca9_k.jpg 42070 B model is a huge disappointment! I hereby declare 42069 as the personal flagship for Lego Technic 2017.
  12. If 6 inline is too long to fit then why not V8, I wonder? Front nose truck like this don't have V alignment?
  13. Not everything has to be used for B model. And if the gear racks are used they can be decorative like the gear quadrants in 42055 B model I guess.
  14. Now thinking back, I think a road grader may be a plausible choice for 42070 B model, although it isn't in the same theme with the tow truck. A road grader typically has 6 tractor tyres, and is skeletal, so the lack of parts and abundance of panels can be used most effectively. The front wheels of a road grader has pendular suspension, just like the suspensions in the rear of 42070. The turntable can be used to turn the blade, and the small LAs can be used to tilt the blade.
  15. On behalf of Jim and Milan I'd like to gently remind you guys to go back to the topic
  16. My reasoning for 42070 B model is this: - It has 6 big wheels + 6 portal hubs + RC + only 2 motors -> B model is another 6x6. 8110, 9398, 42030 all have big wheels and portal hubs and their B models have the same drive structure. Can't really imagine splitting 2 wheels + 2 portal hubs - B model is in the same theme with A model -> B model is something related to tow, recovery, truck, off-road. So I think 42070 B model can be a 6x6 Off-road Flatbed Truck, with a flatbed made of 6 sides panel and 4 gear racks and some liftarms. Thit bed can tilt and slide down like that in 42024.
  17. The upcoming 42069 has Ackermann steering, maybe you'll like it.
  18. No one knows for sure if 42051 is 42068. All we have for 42051 is a blurry leak image.
  19. 42038 Arctic Truck is the mehhhh one when compared with 42069
  20. I'm surprised no one has asked these: - What happened to 42051? - What happened to 42067? - What determines color choice? Why the unusual color for 41999, 42039, 42066, 42069, 42070 - Why do the instructions from 2016 has a lighter blue for background?
  21. You can expect a 20-30 EUR discount for model like this on amazon.de
