  1. @Jim The lastest Technic reviews you did were at this time of last year are they not
  2. So Jim is back to the review scene after a year of abstinence? All hail Mighty Lord! @andythenorth I think the 42069 draws inspirations from this: http://ecomento.com/2015/05/05/plug-in-hybrid-hummers-antarctica/
  3. Only the old type diff has a full gear on the big size. The new diff only has half a gear that face inwards.
  4. Yes it does have, because the B model has it:
  5. I'm a simple man: I see an visually satisfactory set (well-covered with panels, well-picked color palette, has realistic details) , I buy it. So far all of the 3 sets of 2H 2017 meet those requirements so I intend to get them all, plus another 42068 and 42069 for B-models.
  6. Yeah agree with Jim. In the Technic interview the designers already said part count is not the highest priority or consideration. They'll use some pieces when the design, or the requirements, or the constraints require them to.
  7. I don't know what you guys think, but for me at first I thought the 42068 was 500-600-ish, like the Fire Plane 42040. Who would have thought it'd have twice as many parts...
  8. So 42068 has 1094 parts. I was like whattt... It doesn't look like it has 1000 parts.
  9. I've just realized that 42069 is similar to 8110 Unimog in that both have suspensions and 4 wheel drive. However 42069 doesn't use ball joints. Any idea why?
  10. @Cumulonimbus I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. I'm talking about "movable lights" in the description of 42070, not 42068. THere's no PF expansion for 42070.
  11. @Cumulonimbus But there are no PF Led lights in the set, nor are they suggested to be incorporated into the set, as evidenced by the packaging.
  12. @Jim Headlights seem to be just system parts mounted on perpendicular 1 axle hole and 3 pin holes. Nothing special. I think the most likely candidates for movable light are the orange lights under the transclear L-shaped panel. Maybe they are mounted on a 3L axle which connects to a 3L pin with 1L bush and 2L pins, so they can pivot up and down around the axles.
  13. So you mean that this year the flapship is not the flagship?
  14. Flagship is the one whose box has a flap.
  15. Ultimate 42070 thread coming then? And some 42070 enthusiast will make the set worthwhile
  16. I would have considered buying the 42070 if the B model had been sth interesting, like a road grader as I've speculated...
  17. And once again Uwe failed to appear...
  18. Well that makes 42069 the unofficial flagship set of the year. It's a strange occurence when the set with most parts of a year is neither flagship nor motorized nor having the highest set number.
  19. Where did you find that? I can't find that in the product page. https://www.exoforce.ru/serii-lego/technic/technic-lego-42069-ekstremalnye-priklyucheniya.html

  23. Interview with Markus Kossman, in German. Can anyone spot if there's anything interesting?
  24. I'd vote for the 42055. The ultimate pinnacle. I think the winner would be the one from 2010 - 2017. It's the halcyon of Lego Technic.
