What is the silver chrome ish thing sticking out in frony of the rear wheels in the real truck? Is it a fuel tank?

So 42077 is in the same color with 42066 Jet? It doesnt look that way to me..

I manage to make out the other name in the roof of 42077. It spells sth like K.ORNSTEDT. Any idea what that is? Probably not the name of a Technic designer.

There are two of them at the first joints of the two cranes. You can see them in the rear view pic of the Mack

The more I look the more I feel that 42077 is an unlicensed, smaller, cheaper 42056. Even the techniques for the roof beam at the front is similar.

The 42077 use the same door techniques as those in 42056 & 8070, and same wheel arch techniques as those in 42039. But I see no UW on it so I'm not sure if it's a creation of Uwe Wabra. 42077 B gives the feelings of that heinous 42070 B model.

Notice the bulldog in the Mack B model. Its bottom is an inward stud hole, but it's standing on ab axle hole. That means we will get a 1/2 pin but with a 1L axle instead?

I think the Mack truck with over 2500 parts and a box same size with flagship boxes can totally be a 2H flagship. The only thing that disqualifies it from being so is that it doesnt have PF. And the Mack truck makes the 42070 look like a complete joke. Mack has way more parts, is a license model, has an equally good B model and cost 1/3 less. On another note, 42077 marks the first big race car that is not designed by Uwe. 8070, 42000, 42039, 42056 are all his creations. Maybe he's busy with the special super car planned for next summer. Since Markus and Milan already work on the Mack truck maybe the 2H will be designed by sb not Markus or Uwe. I've always wanted to see other designers have a try in the 2H flagship.

About the piece count of MACK, I think quite a number of them will go into the sleeper cab interiors, like Lego Creator inside Lego Technic Edited: OH WOW According to the exoforce website, the box for 42078 is 58.2 x 48 x 12.4 That's the same box with those of 42070, 42043, 42030. It wouldnt be a surprise if the MACK box has a flap too!

How did you find the info for those three sets in that website? Can you share the links that lead to their pages?

83 cm is comparable to 42043 B model, so it's more likely now that the Mack uses 62.4 tires at least. 42043 B also has about 2500 pieces so 2500 for Mack isnt unreasonable.

According to the official website, MACK LR also uses inline 6 engines. So I think we can expect it to be sticking out behind the cabin, like that in 42043 B (Arocs trailer truck). The 9397 has a 4 inline engine and it already eats into the cabin. So if the Mack has a 6 inline I think the cabin would be pushed to the center?

I think those two are instructions for A and B model instead of split instructions since they look slightly different.

YES Garbage truck I've been waiting for that for a long long time. Probably not the one with internal compactor but it's good to see one garbage truck. I think it will be the front bin loader type and reuses the two container cranes on the trailer from the A model. The container can be rebuilt into a waste bin.
