  1. Still fit the non vehicle but with a twist? Build a non vehicle on wheels!
  2. There are things to like and not to in both models.
  3. Of course the Chiron should win by the total score.
  4. I mean it transport things along conveyor belts, which is essentially the same thing as what GBC is about. 42055 is itself a kind of GBC, but this time it's Great Boulder Contraption
  5. We do have an official GBC set. The number is 42055.
  6. I also want a JCB backhoe, but since JCB is an UK company, and UK is still entangled in the Brexit, I don't think TLG would risk a license with JCB.
  7. That's some crazy rap you got there sir! Regarding the next supercar, I think it must satisfy at least those conditions: - Iconic. It must be an icon, a representation of something. Porsche 911 is a classic timeless design, and represents luxury. Chiron represents extreme power and speed. - Well known. May not need to be well known among the general population. - Contains some new, ground-breaking technical function for Lego Technic. For the Porsche, paddle shifters, 4 speed gearbox. Chiron, W16 engine, 8 speed gearbox. It doesn't need to be something ground breaking in the real life.
  8. The biggest model Aurelien did before the Chiron is the 2981-piece Mobile Aggregate Plant.
  9. Not sure if Markus Kossman is an amateur though
  10. I was expecting somebody to ask why the hood was done that way. It could have been done better.
  11. Duh, of course those log bricks need a central axle. Otherwise they are prone to breaking apart and can't be picked up as one log piece.
  12. If the wave selector is to be used in the usual distribution or multidirectional gearbox, I think there will be a rotation limiter. Imagine the 42066. There is the VTOL / FLIGHT function, with a multidirectional gearbox. Now if the wave selector is employed, there will be a knob to turn this selector. The sticker will say turn clockwise for the VTOL configuration and anti clockwise for the FLIGHT configuration, for example. The problem is that, if I already turn the knob clockwise for the VTOL config, and I turn it clockwise again, the slider will move to the opposite end, and will end up engage the FLIGHT config. So there should be a rotation limiter.
  13. Who will lead the way and earn the title Chiron Consummationist this time
  14. I'd like to see a mod in which the line in the bottom of the door is made of the same pipe / hose / tube with the big C curve. It kinda grinds my gear to see such a magnificent curve made of one thing in the body and another in the door +.+ Also I'd like to see a stopper for the gear shifting. It's curious how it would be made too. The stopper in the Porsche only allows the knob to rotate 270 degrees instead of a full revolution. If that is to be replicated here, we would need to make an axle rotate 270/8 degrees for each gear I guess?
  15. According to Woodman the reason the rim sticks out of the tyre is to make the wheel look bigger. Bugatti wants the wheel to be bigger but according its dimensions have to stay within the system.
  16. Where is @Didumos69 when we need him
  17. Michael T Jeppesen designed the engine.
  18. Where can I find this image? I don't see it on Reddit.
  19. Damn that quad turbo charged W16 engine makes my mouth water
  20. Why does the diff in this set need bracing?
  21. The set turns out to be more mechanically interesting than I thought. The leak surely pushed me from maybe to definitely. The only thing left to do is to wait until this time next year for massive discount.
  22. How about Lego has an agent in BZP
  23. That way of raising the spoiler looks funny Poke a random hole or sth. The paddle shifter looks neat!
  24. I think 8258 is the part introduction set for the 13L gear rack. The rack first appeared in that year and 8258 used 7 of them.
