  1. A Volvo model in 2022 can be a pipelayer PL4890D.
  2. If there's no worm gear how can the rotor remain fixed in the vertical position?
  3. This is the first time among the past several years that I dont buy the flagship set. My plan for this set right now only involves bricklink-ing all the parts to upgrade the bed for the 42030 B model, and maybe some more parts to upgrade the nose.
  4. Who is this guy? This is the first time I've heard of his name.
  5. Since it's pretty much a fact that Lego Technic release a Volvo product every 2 years, I wanna speculate about the potential upcoming releases. Volvo product lines include: - Wheel loader - Hauler - Tracked excavator - Wheeled excavator - Mine dumper - Paver - Rollers - Pipelayers - Demolition excavator Since TLG seems to go for the biggest product in a line (L350F wheel loader, A60H hauler), I think we will see a Volvo EC750E or EC950F in the future. And then a Mine dumper R100E.
  6. I dont know either, but since the front part can steer and oscillate at the same time, a ball joint is the most likely possibility.
  7. From the back you can see the stacking frames and the portal hub in the horizontal position. The rear part indicates that the body is a whole solid piece. So there shouldn't be pendular axles or sth. The only form of suspension is the articulated ball joint.
  8. There should be a ball joint at the articulation point, but that's all to it.
  9. Another advantage of the new dumb battery box is that replacing batteries only happens on one side only. That means the battery box does not need to be taken out and can be part of the reinforcing structure.
  10. This gearbox is a 4-switch multi functional gearbox, not a multidirectional gearbox. The change in direction still happens at the batterybox. There are two opposite arrows in the sticker near the red connector switch. It's like the 42052 gearbox, but instead of 2 switches for 4 functions, it has 4 switches for 4 functions, and one end of each switch is blocked. It's different from the 42042 gearbox in the sense that the 4 switches can only be switched in one direction.
  11. The level in the rear controls the rear elevator. The battery switch is the red connector on the driver's side.
  12. Im not really fond of the gearbox and the complicated drivetrain. I'd exchange them for proper suspensions and a tailgate any moment.
  13. Thank God the dumb battery box is here.
  14. And the new engine, despite being smaller, is still not in the correct position! Volvo haulers has transverse engines.
  15. No suspension, no tail gate. How disappointing.
  16. 42043 has the solution for this design question.
  17. I think it's just there to fill a gap. A 3L liftarm can't be fixed in place and perhaps will collide with the 6x4 bent liftarm. The set probably doesn't use 2L liftarm with x-o holes, or it does, but that part isn't in blue.
  18. Isn't there anyone interested in the Enzo B model? I myself find the use of the blades and the new tapered curve panels to achieve the lines in the back very ingenious! Source https://www.facebook.com/groups/TechnicUnited/permalink/1096452850726274/
  19. This mod can even be done without new part. I just took the 12z half gear from the chain transmission and put it in the top position, and then I turned the 20z half gear inside.
  20. I saw a semi-B model on FB. I think it's a Ferrari Enzo. https://www.facebook.com/groups/TechnicUnited/permalink/1096452850726274/
  21. Since the Concrete Mixer Truck and the Volvo use the Corvette wheel arch in LBG, that means some kind of car that uses LBG Corvette wheel arch is coming
