  1. This is my first MOW (Maintenance of Way) model. It was not based on any real life train that I know of, but of several LEGO sets. The front of the train. The rear, showing the MOW caboose. That caboose is based on sets 10014 (Caboose) & 7597 (Toy Story Train). This show exactley what this train carries: a Lighting Repair truck, a Road N Rail Digger, & a Road N Rail truck. The file for this model is here: Work Train LXF Comments, Questions, & complaints are welcome. Thanks for reading! Murdoch17 (By the way, I hope the images are small enough, as I got as close to 800 x 500 as I could using MS paint without going over.)
  2. The news SW sets are out at TRU. Here is a suprise I found: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11798872 AKA: the Hoth Rebel Base 7879. Here are the pics from TRU. It's cost is $94.99 USD, so it should be about $89.99 when it becomes avalible from LEGO Stores. (Sorry about this upload. My FlickR password has been lost, and I'm eventually going to move my pics to MOCPages. Sorry) ==Murdoch17== EDIT: I can't add the box shot, not enough space for the upload in this post. Sorry!
  3. Okay, I just have two questions. Can you put Bulk 3.0's helmet on Fangz? (If possible, please post a photo.) Another question that I have would be that if I make a Fangz in Bulk's colors, with another Bulk helemet on it, would I run into any exclusive or hard to find parts that aren't avalible in black or new silver colors? I would like to know this because I don't want to spend money on Fangz just to test it, (It isn't avalible here yet anyway.) and Bricklink doesn't have them inventoried yet. If you can't answear this second question, that's okay, thank you for trying. If this request confuses you, I'm sorry. I just keep imagining Fangz being a domesticated pet for Bulk. Anyway, thank you. (EDIT: clarified which bulk hlemet I would like on Fangz.)
  4. This is my second attempt to build a GG1 on LEGO Digital Designer. The first one was using a regular 28 stud long base. (I rather not go into details, but let's just say it wasn't going to work.) I was looking around Brickshelf one day last week when i searched for GG1 designs. I found one with instructions from a user named "Maggimutti". I used the bottom portion (wheels and frame) from the instructions and made a custom top half. I never figured out a way to make the realistic looking pantograph on LDD, and I'm not sure I want to, so this feature is missing from the model. And now, without further issues: The blank red tiles are the Toy Story "7597" caboose plates. I also added the buffer beam with plow to the engine. What really wowed me was the many axles. Ten in all! This picture reminds me of Catanas' Train Tech Art topic's "Not Just a Prety Face" picture. The statistics are in this picture. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Commmets, Questuions & critics are welcome. (By the way, the LXF file will be uploaded to MOCPages.... eventually.)
  5. I have a black Emerald Night, and was thinking about a re-paint. I was looking for any good ideas, and I stumbled upon this topic. I thought it was awesome that you used this color on a Emerald Night, and I tried to use it on my LDD file copy of my real life engine. It looked so good, I'm going to use it in real life. Thank you for the idea. Here is my engine in LDD. I am also including a mini version of your engine to use in your signature (or anything else...) Thank you!
  6. Could someone do the Earth Defense HQ from Alien Conquest, or at least the Space fighter included in the set? I know the Instructions arn't avalible online at this time, so can someone who has the set please do it if possible? Here is a photo of the vehicle in question: (The picture was borrowed from Final Exit's review in the Sci- Fi Forum.) The blue space craft is the one I'm requesting. Thanks!
  7. I would like this bridge girder to be in LEGO Digital, please. I've built a train bridge with these parts, and I want to show people the birdge via LDD. This piece has been wanted by me since I found out about LEGO Universe mode. I'm not sure if it's very useful in creations, (It's only been in 3 sets) but please put it in LDD. The Imperial V wing canopy piece is in there, and it's only been in one set. (so far.)
  8. About 100,000 years ago, as the Great Beings were creating the Mata Nui robot, they found a need for a protector of their smaller creations. (the matoran) They created seven prototypes of a race of beings they called "Toa". As they only needed one type of design to start from, they held trials and tests to determine the protoype they would use. When the tests were complete, the Great Beings mind-wiped and left them on diffrent islands in the Mata Nui robot. (99,999 years later) One of these "failed" toa, named Arthron, was taken captive by the Rahkshi on their way to Bara Magna. He is transformed into a Toa of Shadow, and given a staff. He then runs into Tahu and Takanuva. After a battle that blows half the island to bits, Arthron is subdued with a blow to the head by a light blast. In that moment, Arthron's memories of the prototypes return, along with the good side of him... Okay, that was kinda long. Anyway, here are my pictures of what Arthron is going to look like: (NOTE: I need Bulk 3.0 to complete this MOC. As soon I have this MOC becomes finished, I will post pics.) The set I ordered from LEGO Digital Designer. The staff I already have. The set I will need to finish Arthron. From this set I need his mask, head and feet. (The reason I'm using the wolf mask is that Arthron is a half Iron Wolf / Half Toa hybrid, created as a one-of-a-kind by the Great Beings.) Comments, questions, etc. welcome!
  9. I have a question regarding LDD Manager. I have a model I'm going to buy from LDD and I ran it through LDD Manager. I looked at the part summary and some strange stuff showed up: 90639pb05 Hero Factory Armor with Ball Joint Socket - Size 5 with Breez 2.0 Pattern ? (LegoID 315) Hero Factory 6 Check if exist Yes 4632645 Problem #1: Now, I don't have the Evo 2.0 pattern on it, (or anay of the other ones, by the way.) All patterns are showing up in the Manager.(such as Stormer, Nex, Breez, Surge, etc, and in mutilples of six...) I don't know why it says this, because there is not pattern on the model. Here is a picture of the model I'm using: Granted, unbuyable parts are on the model, but besides that why would it do that? It also says (in the decorations tab) that no decorations are being applied to any parts! Problem #2: What is "LegoID 315" ? I'm going to eventually try to match up the color of this model to the one in set #2182 Bulk 3.0 when it's released. But I can't as long as I don't know the Bricklink color! Can you please help me?
  10. Okay, I just remembered about this topic, and I tried downloading the file, but it won't let me. Could you please use some other file hosting website, like Brickshelf or MOCpages? Thanks! EDIT: Thank You for posting it on Brickshelf! Can't wait to set it upon my virtual Imperial Flagship!
  11. Not sure if this is the right forum, but because my last LDD ship topic was moved from Town to here, I guess this is the right one. Anyway, the HMS Executor was built from 1936 - 1940 for the LEGO Imperial Navy. She was built with 24 boilers and 3 steam turbines to a max speed of 27 Knots. With a maximum crew of 2,800, and 4 turrets with two guns each, this ship was able to help end World War 2. Surviving the war, the Executor was used in several smaller confrontations, until being sold of in 1999 to the city of Ironwood with the condtion Executor be always ready for active service in case of war. She remains ready to this day, moored in the Ironwood harbor. Okay, onto the pictures! front view side view rear view FIRE! and the HMS Executor next to the RMS Hogsmeade. The Executor is buyable, but, alas, not LDD file is avalible... sorry. Comments, Questions, & Critics are Welcome!
  12. Deep in the HERO Factory Assmbley tower, past Security doors and guard stations, close to the upgrade room, there is a sealed area that only Mr. Makuro knows of. It is in this area that resides a falied HERO Factory expriement and it's vicitm. It was ten years ago that that expriement, know as an Worm-Hole 1(or WH1, as it was called) started. The first (and only) time it was used, a unstable tear in the fabric of Reality was created. At the same time, another being was traveling through that nether world of Time & Space via a mask he called an "Olmak". This being, who name is not known, was dragged into the Hero Factory universe. As he was pulled through, something happened, and the WH1 was destroyed in a flash of light. Also destroyed was the mask, leaving our traveler stuck in the HERO Factory Universe. As soon as he realized he was stuck, he whipped out his staff, and attemped to touch Mr. Makuro with his hand. As soon as they made contact, Makuro was mentally whisked away to the visitor' universe. As soon as this relazation dawned upon Makuro, he pulled away, and ordered the being locked away. The being was studied, and tested in some ways some might find maddening and cruel, such as having undertaken the first 2.0 upgrade last year, which almost killed him beacsue of a major glitch. He still remains in that room to this very day... (Sorry for the long backstory, i just had to get that out!) Front view staff view Mask he was wearing before the upgrade. and no, this is not Takanuva. By the way, I need a name. Comments, questions, and critics welcome!
  13. I was making a Imperial Flagship meets Brickbeards Bounty diorama in LDD using models from the Lego Digital Designer forum. Halfway through adding mini figures, I noticed that the Brickbeards bounty looks quite small compared to the Imperial Flagship. Then I come upon this section of the forum, and almost fell out of my chair. I then noticed there's no LXF file... could you please include the LXF file of the modified Queen Anne's Revenge? Thanks!
  14. Okay, yes, it's sort of a work in progress. No it's not a real boat. I based the name off a Harry Potter sign from 2004. Here's a link to Bricklink for the part I plan on using. The tan pieces on the ship are for the sign. And, yes, it was the Titanic in the begining, but that was a long time ago. In fact, I took a nod toward the White Star Line in that last pic, by changing the name of the company to Red Star Line. Along with the company, I took the builder's name (Harland & Wolff in real life) and changed it to Hartford & Wolf. And if you add 10 years from 1909 (when Titanic was started) and when she was finished (1912) you get 1919 and 1921, the years my ship was built and launched. Everything else is mine... well except for the Top speed was taken from the RMS Queen Mary...
  15. You are standing near the railing on a bridge over a harbor on a foggy night. Suddenley, a shape comes out of the fog. At first, it seems be a large ferry. But as it keeps comming, you realize this is no ferry. As the distant ship comes into view, you faintley make out a name on the bow. RMS Hogsmeade it says. And, just then, the ship blows it's loud whistle as it passes under the bridge... Okay, enough background. This ship was built by me two years ago. I recentley rediscovered it, and made it buyable again. Oh, and I know the ship's name sounds weird, but I wanted to use all official parts for the build, meaning no custom stickers. It's only in LDD for now, but I plan on buying it eventually. Here are the pics: front view Rear view Side view This is my scale picture. That 1x1 stud is a minifig in scale with the ship. And the facts sheet. Oh, and this may be in wrong section. I though of ethier Other or Town forums. (Since CITY has a harbor...) Sorry, no LXF file yet. Don't have it setup yet! Thanks for reading, Comments and Questions are welcome!
  16. Okay, I wish to buy Tony Sava's Berkshire 2-8-4 instructions on Bricklink. ( I this engine by the way!) I just have some problems. I'm planning on using LDD to make the engine, then order what I can via Desgin By Me. First off: I don't think I can build the 92 page long engine and tender without getting frustrated by LDD's constraints. Second: I don't think most parts are orderable within a 200 US dollar budget. Third: is the new 1 piece coupler compatible with the engine / tender? And can the new cowcatcher from the Toy Story 3 train / Space Police 3 base subsituite the orginal cow catcher? Sorry if this isn't the right froum to ask this, and the Moderators can close this it if they want to. I'm just confused and looking for help. I've already built my own train model in real life. (a black Emerald Night) and it's missing something... i just can't place it. Help please? Here is my train I already have and it's consist. Thank You for reading.
  17. Okay, I know this is a very old post of mine, but I thought cerating a new topic would be silly if I already have one. And so, here is the bridge of the Ironwood in minfig scale. The only parts missing from the one I have in real life is the two orange Bionicle ball pieces from the Home One) Just think, if this is the size of the bridge, what's the minifig scale size of the ship?!?
  18. That ship looks awesome! I realy like how you took 1 sentence and ran with it. It looks much better that anything I could come up with... Oh, and by the way, anything I suggested doesn't have to be built, Just so you know... Anyway, have fun building and if you need anymore storyline / background help, I would be more than happy to give you that assistance. I check the Sci - Fi Forum daily so just say so and I should respond.
  19. EDIT: Nevermind, not the proper place to post. Sorry about my signature, Superkalle. I hope it's better now...
  20. Do you do requests? I have two LDD pictures here, and I don't know how to do these Art Deo posters, so I'm asking you to make it. Here are my photos: My first one is based off a real life LEGO train I own called the "Great West". My tagline could be the destinations. I orginally had this: "Brickville - Fort Legorado - Ironwood". This one is a head on shot of my steam engine. This one is not as badley wanted as the first, but I still would like it. I haven't thought of a title for this one, so you can choose. My railroad's name is "Brick Railway", if that helps. Thanks for reading!
  21. I like your mini figs! It has great potential, but as you said, they need names: These names ( and backgrounds) are for the Leaders (the center figure) of each group. These are from top to bottom. Here are my ideas (which you don't have to use if you don't want to): Lord Edgar Sinclair Leader of the freedom fighters, inventor and genuis who invented the first Steampunk generator, but had his invention stolen by High Admiral Victor Ogel and his gang. Lord Sicnlair lost his left eye in ensueing battle, as Ogel lost right eye. He has currentley been fighting High Admrial Ogel by using the Freedom Fighters. High Admiral Victor Ogel Leader of the Totilarian Goverment, evil, ruthless, and cruel. He stole the first Steampunk generator, losing his right eye in the process. He made milions selling those generators in cars, trains, planes, ships, among other things. After being elected President, he took over the rest of the world and subdued almost all opposition to his regime with his very effective Totalarian Army. Sam Sinister Once the rival of Johnny Thunder, the former lord was striped of his title and reduced to nothing. He built himself back up by becoming a bandit. He rose thorugh the ranks to become the leader of the bandits. He sides Victor Ogel, and where his army can't go Sinister's badits usually can. Captain Brickbeard Brought back from the 1700's by an accident with time travel, this pirate only helps the higgest bidder. His entire ship can now fly with the help of steam powered engines and rotors. He has helped both Ogel and Sinclair in the past, and is willing to do so again, but only for who has the deeper pockets. The Assasins Some people are not pirates or Bandits, but mereley poeple who are on their own. These are not citizens, for they have killed more than one person. There is no leader for these outcasts of society, it's just every man for himself. These kind of people have been hired by all sides to kill soemeone. Or, if payment is really low, they turn in their employer for a reward. Ethier way, they get payed. Hope you like my suggestions!
  22. Thank you for posting. I looked at your link and found your Daleks, which are awesome. My favorite has to be your huge TARDIS. By the way, Do you play LEGO UNIVERSE? I put Doctor Who & his TARDIS (Actually, I called the "Doctor's Time Machine". TARDIS wasn't allowed.) on my Avant Gardens Block Yard property. It's called "Space Port Zeta", and here are some pictures: A mini- TARDIS The Doctor himself And the whole property (which is currentley a WIP) Enjoy! By the way: The tombstones in the last picture are for Rocky Raccoon & Maxwell Edison. Both of them are the titles of Beatles songs I like. I thought since Dr. Who is British, I should put some other famous Media icons in that photo.
  23. I want to start off saying I used Doctor Sinister's TARDIS design. It realy is amazing, but some changes had to be made for it to be buyable on LDD. (The roof would not connect properly in the Program, but it does in real life.) The Doctor design, along with the Sonic Screw driver, was mine. Also, the suit seen in the LEGO Digital Designer is really supposed to be Henry Jones Sr suit. (The one with the bow tie.) And now, without further problems, here is Doctor Who outside the TARDIS: Here is TARDIS traveling through time and space. Here is the Doctor with his screw driver: Screw driver close-up: And, a story I'm working on that should be done sometime this year: I hope you like this. I will put my Story here, in this thread, when it's done. Currentley, It's just a idea in my head, not even writen down yet. And by the way: here is how I made that time-travel pic: All I did was take this windows Desktop background, turned it into opposite colors, added the TARDIS, writing and there you go. Thanks for reading! (Comments and Questions are Welcome!)
  24. I know I've already got one, but can you do this Doctor Who minifigure I made in LDD? Here is the suit he's supposed to have (with yellow hands): This is what he looks like in LDD with the wrong suit: And, if you need the closeup of his screw-driver, here it is: Thank You for makeing my other one, I really like it. This one is not really for me, but any Doctor Who fan who likes the desgin. Thanks Again!
  25. The Pirates of the Caribbean mini-site on LEGO .com is live! Well, actually it's a teaser site, like the Harry Potter one was, with the figures. Here is the link: Pirates of the Caribbean .
