  1. Still up on Brickset too. Just been doing a bit of zooming in - I'm fairly convinced that the rebel trooper in the battle pack wearing the Hoth-style hat has a female face.
  2. How long until someone MOCs one of these after seeing this! Mind you, "5 blob" difficulty level is putting me off giving it a go.
  3. Very good point - for all we know the wings may gold out completely horizontally and be mid-fold in the trailer. I've be planning on getting the new falcon this month, but every time I see more pictures of this shuttle my mind is swayed.
  4. I actually got this canopy piece direct from TLG customer services. Although it doesn't seem to be visible in any of the photos, there's actually a scratch across the windscreen that was there when it came out of the bag. I emailed them and they sent a replacement through the next day. I totally agree with you - why not sell them directly to us... they'd be raking it in!
  5. Now, I'm not saying this is particularly big or clever, but I thought I'd try it out as I haven't seen it anywhere else - swapping the original x-wing canopy for the new (and definitely improved) version that comes with 75102). It turned out it wasn't a straight swap either. The astromech socket need to be moved back by 1 stud, the back of the ship needed to be lowered, and a few other little changes were needed too. I decided to raise the pilot's seat, and the extra room created by the sloping back of the canopy allowed for the introduction of a targeting computer too. Maybe more controversially, I've also added the stud shooters (from Rey's speeder) as although I won't be firing them, I actually like the way it looks! Comments appreciated!
  6. This is great, but it makes the original version on my shelf look seriously stumpy! Will have to follow your example real soon.
  7. They should have them there - although I think the transporter was out of stock!
  8. I picked up the X-wing on force Friday and the cockpit canopy was a perfect fit. However, it did have a bit of a scratch and I contacted customer services - new canopy arrived today and still fits no problems.
  9. If you're in the SW of the U.K., Exeter TRU currently has them - not on shelves, but they're under the counter with a £15 spend. They received 100 today in a delivery. The print really is superb and is updated from the ewok village torso print too. The colour of the legs and torso is also slightly more orangey than previous versions, which means there's not a perfect match with old torso (two gold arms) and new legs. Check them out side by side https://www.flickr.com/gp/richpepperell101/g693UV
  10. In case anyone is looking to get hold of one, toys r us in Exeter currently has the c-3po polybags in stock. When I asked, they'd a box of 100 today. They aren't on shelves for purchase, but are free from under the counter with a £15 Lego spend.
  11. Anyone have a nice image of the cloud city air shaft (just the background) they'd be happy to share for greenscreening? Can't find a decent one anywhere.
  12. I'm with you there, although sometimes I like a big vehicle if it acts a bit like a location. For example, for me the sand crawler or first order transports act as scenery (if you know what I mean) as much as they are vehicles. That said, I love a location set - the final duel was my favourite, most mod'ed (and most ’played with'!) set this year!
  13. Sorry for my canon misspelling - my iPad autocorrected it. I'll take more care in future. I was also aware of the differences in the fighters, I was just pointing out there were A-wings in Rebels. No offence intended.
  14. The A-wing was actually introduced pre-ANH, it's featured in Series 2 of Rebels which is cannon. Series 2 will also feature what I believe is the prototype B-wing, as a red B-wing was glimpsed in the trailer. Sorry for being nerdy! :)
  15. A little clue to what we may see in the imperial Battlefront battle pack? https://www.ordersixtysixtoys.co.uk/products/Star-Wars-Black-Series-6%22-%252d-Battlefront-Imperial-Shock-Trooper.html
  16. Activity Book #1 with Figure (Lego Star Wars: Activity Book with Figure) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0545917271/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_3wj9vb22VJX7B Browsing Amazon and came across this book I've never seen mentioned. The thing that caught my eye was the included minifigure. I get the feeling that the cover is a placeholder only. Anyone know anything?
  17. My canopy seems to be fine as far as fit goes. However, I'm 99.9% sure that my set was missing 1 1x2 grey grill piece. It was needed to go on top of the spring loaded shooters - which I had left off so didn't need it. However, when I collected up my "leftovers" the was only 1 left over grill when there should have been 2.
  18. I ordered one at around 7.45 AM on Force Friday - it arrived this week no probs. canopy seems to fine, shuts ok (although there is a little scratch on it). Weird thing was the numbers in the instruction manual are wrong - they suddenly jump and miss 4 numbers out on a couple of occasions.
  19. This mod looks brilliant and sounds so simple. I was going to be holding off on getting the shuttle and was thinking about getting the falcon this month, but as time goes by, I'm getting swayed more towards this shuttle!
  20. Managed to find time to build Poe's x-wing tonight. This may have been mentioned already and I haven't noticed, but the numbering of the build steps in my booklet for the section on building the upper wings is wrong - it suddenly jumps and misses a load of numbers out. Anyone else notice this? The x-wing is epic by the way - and the pilot helmets are supreme! Also, new look at the command shuttle - is it black or just very very dark grey?!? http://www.starwars7news.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Kylo-Rens-Command-Shuttle.png
  21. Had a close up look at the Poe and X-wing pilot minifigures, partcularly their helmets. If my Aurebesh is correct (which I think it is), the nameless pilot has "MOTHER" written on his helmet, whereas Poe's helmet has "ROCHAL" written on the side. A quick google reveals Rochal is a Polish village - anyone know any more about this?
  22. The head is definitely new unless it's been used outside of the Star Wars theme.
  23. I'm just loving the FO storm troopers too - they've been arranged inside the transporter, running up and down the ramp - I haven't left them alone. Trouble is I know I'm going to want a big army of them - fingers crossed for the battle pack after Christmas being pure stormtrooper.
  24. I'm really liking the generic minifigures I've built so far - perfect patrons for a cantina diorama etc. I haven't got it yet, but I guess the pirates that come with the Falcon will be pretty good for this too.
  25. Some images of the transporter. There are plenty more minifigure images on my flickr https://www.flickr.com/gp/richpepperell101/8802P5 First job for me was to lose those spring loaded shooters. Just placed the 1x4 tile straight onto the jumpers. Top view Rear view - may have to something about covering up the technic beams. Without the top deck - interior is fantastic. Simple but really effective. Brilliant selection of minifigures - Captain Phasma is much more impressive than any of the pictures I'd seen. You need a magnifying glass for some of the helmet detail (maybe it's just my eyes). With the addition of an apollo stud... Ready to delpoy! You can easily fit 8 troops in here - more if they squeeze up. The ramp struts are my favourite feature - I'll be adding some to the falcon. Lots of SNOT and angled sections Slide in cockpit section is a bit low (sticker also a nightmare to get straight on 1x2 cheese slope) Used 4 1x1 black studs (just because they were on hand - spare pieces with set) just to raise it a bit. Made to measure - bit of a cosy fit. The trooper's not visible at all when the hatch is shut. Interior from above I'm really pleased with the set. It's supposed to look utilitarian and it nails it. The interior works really well and I can see me using it in a lot of dioramas, especially after seeing how it's used in the movie. Only areas for improvement - I've removed the springloaded shooters as they look a bit awkward and too exposed. Also, the cockpit section feels a bit oversized to me. I appreciate it needs to be this big to accommodate a minifig, but seeing that the pilot s not visible when it's shut, I might look at scaling it down a bit. I'm looking forwatd to seeing solutions pfor the V wing issue. I see Jang posted a video saying he'd picked up 2 sets - one to build and one to MOC.
