  1. Just checking out the Aurebesh on a couple of the stickers: 'LOCK' on the carbon freezing chamber (could be wrong, hard to see on phone) and 'DESTINATION TATOOINE' in side the escape pod. The little sticker on the Death Star plan build reads 'SND' - abbreviation of SEND perhaps?
  2. I wonder what the loose black 1x1 round studs in the takodana set are for. They seem to be in a hole in the castle steps in the box image. Maybe they are catapulted out to represent rubble from an explosion. Any ideas?
  3. Will be picking up both of these on the day of release - the takodana set is ripe for extension, but I don't have a lot of bricks in that colour. Maybe pick up a second set minus figures on flea bay. I can't for the life of me understand why this rumour persisted this long at all - there were official unmasked photos of Adam Driver as Kylo months ago!
  4. I really hope the discovery of these images today leads to the floodgates opening on the new set images. I really want to see some different angles on the carbon freezing chamber and of course the Battle on Takodana and other TFA sets.
  5. Looks like the crates on Kanan's speederbike come filled with goodies like blasters and thermal detonators - could be useful to offset the stud shooters from the battlepacks! As far as the microfighters go, I'm a bit unimpressed, although I wouldn't mind another AT-DP driver and there are some reasonable parts I'd like with the Ghost.
  6. Check out brickset for new images of the Force Awakens constraction figures http://brickset.com/article/17805/new-images-for-dozens-of-2016-sets
  7. After reading the second wiki entry, I've just found out that Lando owned a ship called the 'Love Commander' - proof, if any was needed, that doing away with the old EU was the best thing to do!
  8. The microfighter snowspeeder looks closer in size to the source material than the full sized version does. I think that between the 2 sets, it should be possible to MOC something more screen accurate - just a case of waiting for some more images... roll on the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary.
  9. Just in case anyone's missed this - there's a free special forces tie polybag available with a voucher from the Daily Mail in the uk today. The voucher can be exchanged at high street WH Smiths stores. It's a nice build with some good parts - the only downside is having to buy the Mail, but no one I knew saw me so it was fine.
  10. Logged on to post these pics only to find a superior mod by @Veynom (I didn't copy the airbrake extensions - honest!) already attracting admiration, but I thought I'd share anyway! I've only gone for a four stud extension, but for me it brings the whole craft into better proportion. I triued to keep as close to the original style as poss (I like to see the studs!) but my main issue with the original build was that the control tower section looked a bit over-sized - I'm much happier with it now. I also wanted to cover up the exposed technic bars under the engines -I'm also fairly happy with how this looks too. Although I changed the deck-mounted cannon slightly, it can still be used to fire off the extensions. I'm fairly certain we'll be seeing a lot more images over the next month, so I'm sure it'll be back to the drawing board, but for now... Still plenty of room for more stormies when the battlepacks arrive... Everyone aboard!
  11. I've just finished extending mine (only by 4 studs), went to post some pics and saw this thread! It's amazing how much difference it makes to the look of the craft. My biggest problem before was that the control tower section looked over-sized. It now look totally in proportion to my eye. Other main change for me was (as with yours) covering the exposed technic beams - enjoyed the greebling especially due to the odd number of studs.
  12. It's a little custom job I did - the head came from a 3.75" action fig. It's a bit big, but looks OK compared to a minifig such as the tusken raider - head is about the same size.
  13. Picked up Kylo's Shuttle and FO TIE as part of the Argos deal - TIE was basically free! Also picked up a MSIB FO snowspeeder on fleabay this week. Despite a lot of negative reviews I really like the ship and the snow troopers are fantastic.
  14. Not strictly Lego related, but there's another new trailer/ tv spot out http://makingstarwars.net/2015/11/new-star-wars-the-force-awakens-tv-spot-features-new-shots-and-dialog/
  15. Anyone care to refresh me on the pricing of the sets - I've had a scan through this thread, but there are now a LOT of pages to search! Trying to get my purchase plan in order!
  16. Boba fett from the 9496 Desert Skiff also had toe printing - it was a fantastically printed minifigure for the time. I also notice the set number on the corner of the set images leaflet is 30605 - the Finn polybag. Does this mean the source of the image might also have some images of the Finn minifigure at some point?
  17. For everyone disappointed with the lack of undamaged OT stormies - I reckon we'll be seeing them turning up in numbers in the Rogue One sets this time next year.
  18. That's a new hat on the FO officer-type. It's different from the gate in the TIE and command shuttle sets. The only thing I don't like the look of is the escape pod itself, but will still be getting it for the jawas.
  19. You can also pick up two from the latest ISD - it's a goldmine of imperials!
  20. I found this image on yodapedia which is pretty helpful - characters and floor plan! Also had a go at Tzizvvt using the CMF fly-guy head plus the rebel technicians tan body - sorry he's not too obvious in the photo... he's just lurking at the far side of the bar.
  21. I wonder if we'll see a price hike for the Leia minifigure from the sail barge if this turns out to be true. http://makingstarwars.net/2015/11/there-are-rumors-princess-leias-return-of-the-jedi-bikini-costume-is-being-retired/
  22. For me, season 1 of Star Wars Rebels really hit it's stride in the last few episodes, starting from the crew's attack on the Imperial communications tower in the episode 'Call to Action'. This episode also saw the return of one of my favourite Clone Wars ships - the Coruscant Police Gunship. The Imperial Gunship however removed the dark blue colour scheme in favour of imperial greys. This is basically a recolour of the original set. Although the gunship in the show was a more uniform grey, I decided to break it up a bit. The yellow accents aren't seen on screen, but I felt they helped to tie the craft in with the official AT-DP set and my own ITT MOC. Finally, the windscreen in Rebels is actually not red, but trans-black. I decided to stick with the red as firstly, I like the colouration and secondly, I only have one of the windscreen pieces in that colour! Comments welcome!
  23. After looking at a couple of cantina MOCs, I was wondering - is there a thread anywhere for cantina patrons that people have together with using genuine Lego parts and/or custom jobs? My own cantina is pretty well populated, but I'm looking to add more recognisable drinkers. Moderators - please merge this if there is a thread!
  24. If you're in the uk, you could get the head plus a few more useful heads here http://www.ebay.co.u...tm/251729754766 Ps. This isn't my auction by the way!
  25. im convinced that's the reason those 2 figures were included in the scout fighter set- I'd never have bought it if I didn't need them for Mos Eisley scenes Someone also pointed out (I don't know in which thread) that the head from the CMF spectre is a brilliant Elis Helrot lookalike- I teamed it up with a Darth Maul torso - bingo!
