  1. As long as I don't see any pictures, I won't give much on this listing. But the ideas which are discussed here are quite interesting. I'd personally like to see a water-themed wave (pun not really intended). But even if not, I hope one of the upcoming Box sets will be blue. Blue was terribly absent in the past 2 waves (especially in the 3.0 wave, since Surge took a break).
  2. In this case, let me thank your for that fantastic mask! It's my favourite mask from the 3.0 heroes! Your miniature fight is also really cool. You did a good job to transport the feel of the characters to a smaller scale.
  3. Great review -R8-! Frankly, Tahu wasn't my most favourited Toa, in fact, he doesn't even made it into the Top 3 (which are Kopaka, Gali and Lewa), but on the other hand, I pretty much liked all six Toa - both in their Mata and Nuva forms. The Toa Nuva were in general really awesome, although they looked less unique than their previous incarnations due to their dual weapons and the armour. But since the armour pieces were fantastic and I loved the whole idea of putting their weapons underneath their feet I won't complain about those things too much.
  4. Just bought Scorpio yesterday and built him today. I'm very pleased with his design and articulatione, though I found some poses which are hard to pull of with him (like rising his front body up - of course, not a scorpionesque pose, but hey...). And I still can't believe his insane amount of bone pieces!
  5. Hm, now I'm tempted to order a Recon Hero before the silver/black plates go out of print.
  6. So I'm the third one who first thought of that Rhinox... but I'm currently flashed by Transformers, so yeah... Anyway, really cool MOC!
  7. Nice update on Raw-Jaw, and as I already said in another topic, Bulk looks awesome with the jetpack. Keep up the good work!
  8. Me too, although I'm not that much into the Iron Man Franchise, but simply because it would mean all those neat Iron Man pieces in silver.
  9. Ah, now I see it. I first thought you used a single large shell piece for the upper picture attached to the upper ball joint. Anyway, thanks for the clarification, and as I already stated: Looks great! If I hadn't already disassembled Bulk I'd most likely modded him in a similiar way (maybe I'll burrow the design one day for another MOC...).
  10. That's a really cool update, MoralWarfare! I'd suggest you to create a thread for it to make sure it gains the attention it deserves. One question though: You did use other shell pieces for the jet pack than for the back armour on the first pic, right?
  11. The original Sub Slizer was my first Slizer (and thus, my first buildable Action Figure). You did an amazing job with your MOC! Just like toatyger already said, you did a great job transporting the design and the feel of the original character into your MOC.
  12. Joker's head looks good to me. I expected something that looks a tiny bit more like Joker in the Animated Series, but it looks quite cool and fits to the rest of the heroes. ...but I still want Lobo and Deadpool. And Zero. XD Btw, I think Iron Man would look better with smaller shoulder armour. Oh, and why on earth use all of the heroes black limbs instead of coloured ones? Coloured limbs could be a great and both easy way to improve the colour scheme of all the heroes.
  13. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm actually tempted to get Raw-Jaw now. I don't have much red shells since I missed Furno 2.0 and I like his overall design more than Fangz'. And on top of that, I'm already good with silver thanks to both Bulk and the 2.0 villians. Oh, and all the red shells should work great with Fire Lords body for some MOC...
  14. Ah... I see. Yeah sure, if there already green shells, odds are quite good for a mata green hero. Or at least that TLC put those shells into Pick-a-Brick or the Recon Team.
  15. So yeah, finally I've uploaded the Protoss on MOCpages. Here's the link!
  16. Given the small number of Ben 10-pieces which were re-used, I would only expect a quite small number of the Superheroes parts in the next HF-wave. But maybe I'll be wrong on this. I actually hope I am, because if the pieces get rereleased in Hero Factory, they'll cost far less.
  17. Before I start a completely new thread I'll ask my question here... I'm pondering which of the smaller villians I should get. So far I own Bulk 3.0 and Furno 3.0 from the current line, and I'll definitely get Scorpio. I also want to get one of the small boxes, but I can't decide which one: - Raw-Jaw got the gorilla-theme, plus loads of EXO-Force arms - Fangz is silver - Waspix got a great design and those trans-yellow shells. So which one would you suggest me?
  18. I'm still chuckling about this. That's true. I actually only doubt that LEGO will tackle the main man simply because he is way less family friendly than the "boring" heroes (since I only read the comics in German, I'm not sure what Lobo would call Superman and the others in the original US text). But hey, maybe TLC feels one day crazy and gives us Lobo... and perhaps also Deadpool (though I've gotta admit I only know him from MvC3).
  19. You know, in terms of Zero Action Figure... there are already some figures on their way, and one of them also must be assembled (though it's not a LEGO Set). But that's enough off-topic talk. I forgot to comment on the other two who weren't showed yet. I'm kinda curious what Captain America will look in LEGO form, and I'm curious about his shield. Concerning the Joker I don't see any problem why he wouldn't work, though I'm not much interested in him anyway. I'd like to see Spiderman, Wolverine and Lobo as sets, though I'm quite sure LEGO won't make a Lobo. What about you guys? Which of Marvel's or DC's heroes and villians should get the LEGO treatment in your opinion? EDIT: btw, am I the only one who noticed the details on Batman's and Green Lantern's thighs? They look different from the usual limb pieces.
  20. I connected the blades for some time via the other bar, and the connection felt slightly stronger than with the regular one. I guess it can differ because of the material of the piece. Anyway, you wrote a great review Brickthing, and I just love your pictures of Bulk. And thanks for mentioning my review of Furno.
  21. That's a fantastic update. And you're genius when it comes to clever parts usage.
  22. I have mixed feelings about these. On one side, they use the same building system as the 2.0 heroes. Since their design doesn't differ so radical as the design of the Ben 10 sets did in comparison to Bionicle (or to Hero Factory, for that matter), the Superheroes are slightly more appealing to me than Ben 10 (in addition to the fact that I know more about them - well, except the Green Lantern). On the other hand, they look very skeleton-like because of the 2.0-Hero build. It looks even in Ironman's case kinda odd and reduces the likeness of the characters in general. The Ben 10 sets did definitely look a lot more like their TV counterparts than these Superheroes do. But hey, those are still prototypes, so there's still room for improvement. My thoughts on each one of them: Iron Man - I like him the most so far, although his armour looks a bit too simplified to me. Hulk - While he currently looks quite mediocre, he does have potential. I think with correct colours (green shoulders, blue pants), a few improvements on his face, proper feet and bulkier forearms he could look very good. Green Lantern - I don't know much about the GL as I do about the others, but in terms of aesthetics he looks good. I like the little detail that he indeed wears a green ring on his hand. Oh, and Mata green parts, so yay! Batman - Looks like some sort of special armour he's wearing there... maybe from The Brave and the Bold? I would prefer a regular Batman with a cape though. I'd actually love to see (since we already got Marvel) a line of for Marvel Vs. Capcom, just because I want Zero as a Lego Set.
  23. While I'm not much interested into Nex' helmet or colours (for some odd reason... altough when I think about it, orange looks great with blue...), I like his design. Especially that the paw-weapon is attached on his forearm and not deleting a regular hand. Getting only one hand with in the shield weapon sets of the 2.0 line was really bugging me, and it's also bugging me in that wave. So it's really cool to see a set with both two hands and the weapon body piece.
  24. Looks fantastic! I like the design of the back and his hands. Took me some time to figure out which piece you used for the lower arms, very clever!
  25. Good to know that you're on MOCpages too! I've already built my Protoss-MOC yesterday (today I finished him), but I'm not sure when I'll make pictures of him. Maybe tomorrow, but maybe it'll have to wait till weekend. Just so you know, it's not an exact replica of your design but rather a MOC basing on it. I recreated the anatomy of the Zealot, but with a lot less armour and different colours (I also gave him different weapons).
