  1. Tarn grimaces as the mini-bomb sends shards of hot shrapnel everywhere. Ignoring the blood flowing from several deep cuts, the young Barbarian readies Helbaerend once more and attacks Bomb B from the front row twice.
  2. Absolutely no problems Zepher, I appreciate how much you put into QMing, amd I personally know how hard it is doing the calculations. Even when dealing with low-level fights I messed up a lot! Here I am just concerned as the battle is on a timer, so if I took out bomb A in one hit then it didn't explode, it didn't damage everyone, and I'd get a crack at Bomb B, which would effect everyone's choice of target this round. FWIW, I make it 10 (WP) x 3 (Extra Crit) + 13 (level) = 43 x 2 (Mead) = 86 x 2 (elemental) = 172
  3. Tarn's power should be 46 as he is Encouraged. A Barbarian critical hit does 3 times that? And then it's doubled due to the elemental damage? I'm not sure to be honest. But with all that going on 88 seems a bit low.
  4. Tarn Velco, Flitwick? Now you're doing it on purpose! I would also ask that I don't go first in the order as another free hit will KO me, which would be a waste of the Mead and Smelling Salts I took. Also Tarn should be Encouraged and Hastened on that list, Zepher. Tarn attacks Bomb A twice from the front row.
  5. OOC: Because Rouge, as listed for your character, is a colour, not a job class. And both palathadric and Sandy seem to think Monk Pretzel is level 5, in his signature and the list of heroes.
  6. Current Signups for Quest#32: The Lost Children Ad-Hoh, level 15 Evoker (ADHO15) Erik Tyrvarr, Level 1 Barbarian (Myrddyn) Sorrow, Level 1 Rogue (Endgame) Mizuki Kimura , Level 1 Rogue (zakura) Nagure Level 1 Barbarian (Costy) Galen Woodward Level 6 Rogue (Fugazi) Sarick Lanse, Level 7 Mage (Xarrzan) Daxus Octavian, Level 6 "Rouge" (Legoman273) Monk Pretzel and His 99 Pieces, Level 5 Cleric (palathadric) Drake Flamerobe, level 1 Knight (xxlrocka) Benji Carvenhall, Level 16 Warden (Flare) Arasmyth RuGard, Level 11 Mage (Kadabra) Rememember that this 4-person Quest is aimed at new and low-level players. The Chosen 4 will be announced on Thursday 26th April. Thank you for your time!
  7. That motorcycle brings back memories! A lovely, nostalgic review, thanks Daisy.
  8. Tarn drinks the Mead located in his Hollow Blade, encouraging him, and then takes his Smelling Salts, allowing him to act with haste during the battle. He then targets Mini Bomb A as the mini bombs only have a two-turn fuse.
  9. "Mr Thothwick, my battle axe is doubly effective against mechanical foes. I could use a Mead from my hollow blade, take my Smelling Salts and still get a hit on one of those bombs. It appears time is our greatest enemy otherwise."
  10. I know we talked about it a couple of pages back, but I am not reading the other two Dastan Quests.
  11. I like it when there is friction between the heroes, from a role playing perspective of course. I also think that the Maurice/Eric enmity is very interesting too. I love seeing that spill out.
  12. "Let's go, everyone. Keep sharp eyes focused and sword hands ready." He pulled the Party Leader aside. "Mr Thothwick, it's just Tarn. The 'Valco' is an honorific given by the Clerics who raised me once I became an adult. I am Tarn of Valco."
  13. "I know Atramor to be a skilled and cunning fighter, he should go with Nyx. I do not mind being a lookout."
  14. "I am ready to go," Tarn assured the Metasimian.
  15. Both my Quests will have been aimed at lower-level heroes. This solves two problems, it gets a group of newbies together in one place to learn the ropes, and it means I don't have to worry about the Advanced classes!
  16. Despite three of the party telling Hans and Felton what the party's mission in Dastan was, Tarn also weighed in to labour the point further. He had been a Party Leader in two previous Quests and despite being one of the lower ranked heroes, was not afraid to speak his mind. "As these stout fellows and Nyx have said, our mission here is one of protection, not revenge. If this Wren is part of this conspiracy, then we will take care of her at the right time. Our first priority is to protect those we are charged to protect."
  17. Very interesting stuff, Kadabra. Thank you for that. I must admit, I just think you can use the -mancer suffix with pretty much anything and it just sounds so cool and mysterious
  18. "To the palace then, let us not tarry here further," agreed Tarn.
  19. Tarn had seen fellow Questmates go a little crazy before, so Thothwick's outburst did not phase the young Barbarian. "Let us journey with all due haste to this Sphinx character then."
  20. Well done to the Scum team, and special mention to Sandy and the fantastic sets and characters. It was a very entertaining game to watch.
  21. Tarn listened intently to the Advisor as he spelt out their mission, to protect these 5 important people. "Advisor, are we expecting imminent attacks on all five? Or do you have any information on who is most likely to feel an assassin's blade first? We have to consider the possibility that we may need to divide our forces."
  22. Thanks for picking me on the quest, Zeph. Tarn is certainly hanging with some renowned heroes again, should be a lot of fun teaming with them.
  23. Tarn was very pleased to be chosen, and smiled when he saw that both William and Atramor had likewise been selected, as he had quested with them before and knew them to be very handy adventurers to have around. He had already spent his coin at the Marketplace and was anxious to see how his triple-elemental weapon Helbaerend would fare.
  24. I am really enjoying following your Quest, WBD. The sets are again superb and I can't wait to see surly old Gurnam again!
  25. Tarn is who he is, a good kid, but dull. With the restrictions of only being allowed one character, has anyone else thought about scrapping the one they have made and starting again, like CptJohnPaul did with Bacari? I have to admit that I have.
