Flipz, I was referring to what Sandy said, about the Guild and the Ji-Pei not being used much as they hadn't been introduced properly. I think especially on that basis WBD introduced them very well, and added a great look into the way they see the world.

I think WBD did a great job with the Guild of Invision!

Round Two of the Sandworm Guardian Battle Sorrow Vs Sandwight A - Miss Mizuki Vs Sandwight B - Damage Nagure Vs Sandy - Extra Critical Hit Flamerobe - Bound (No action) Erik Vs Sandwight B - Extra Critical Hit The heroes are quite tentative this round as they know all damage they do on Sandy will be halved. Sorrow slashes at Sandwight A with his scythe, but once again misses. Perhaps the hot sun and the exposed skull are not mixing well. Mizuki steals in with an attempt on Sandwight B, but just like the previous round, the bizarre creature manages to tear at her with its hardened claws (-3). This leaves the Rogue perilously close to being knocked out. Nagure, clearly relishing his status as the biggest heavy hitter on the team, smashes Sandy with his club with an almighty hit, sadly for him Sandy's defensive barrier absorbs half of the blow (-6), but then disappears. Flamerobe manages to extract himself from the quicksand by using his shield as a floatation device. He is good to go next round. Erik matches Nagure's prowess with a similar hit on the second Sandwight, who takes the full brunt of the impact (-11) Enemies Sandy Level 4 Rock Monster Health 34/40 Special 1: Quicksand - Sandy will create a patch of quicksand, binding the attacker for one turn and doing 2 damage. Spending too much time writing in the sand before attacking costs Drake, who falls into a patch of quicksand, taking damage (-2) and finding he cannot move for the next round. Sorrow takes a potion, the green liquid seeming to shine through his exposed guts. Nagure wades in with his big club, fresh from two good hits on the previous Guardian, but triggers Sandy's defensive wall of sand, meaning any damage the party do next round will be halved. Mizuki and Erik try to take out one of the sinister, spindly-looking sandwights, but the Rogue is slashed by one (-3) which puts off Erik's strike, who swings and misses. Sandwight A smacks Flamerobe with a giant sandy fist, his shield absorbs most of the damage though (-1). I'm glad you like it Sandy! The naming convention of the Guardians means that it was a complete coincidence, honestly!

I'm not sure if I should sign up as I am playing in and also hosting a Heroica Quest. I remember in Gotham Mafia I'd signed up for too much stuff (Mafia, Heroica, Suburbia) and didn't feel like I had the time to do as well as I could have. But I do love me a bit of Star Wars. Hmmmmm.

Not really following all the politics and backstabbing, all Tarn knew was that they had a charge to protect. Eager to prove himself a better fighter than last time, Tarn raised Helbaerend and attacked Maw from the front row.

Cliches do work though, and as it is good that the party knows what they are up against, it's not necessarily a bad thing to be cliche in a newbie quest. tl;dr - obvious sandworm is obvious

Myrddyn, the party has now gone through all three doors on the ground floor, and Hlin did say that of the three children, none was his daughter. He has taken them away to be reunited with their families, being kids, they were not able to help much with what was going on. Good job on marking the ground with your axe, though! The heroes trekked through the desert, with Erik careful to mark their progress with the shaft of his axe even though they were leaving footprints. They actually found several sets of small footprints in the sand, and started to follow them when the rumbling noise reached a crescendo and a giant sandworm erupted out from under the dunes, along with a couple of smaller sandwights. Sorrow opens the second door on the right, and the party go through. The usual white light and disorientation occurs, before the 5 heroes find themselves... ...standing in a desert. The dunes seem to go on for miles and the sun beats down on them from high above. A rumbling noise can be heard, and there are slight tremors in the sand, although that might just be the heat haze. What will the party do?

Feel free to pick a fight with anything you want! Remember it's not just the armour, though. He has a friend with him!

OOC: The children. Are safe here. Wait, are you making fun of me? Not cool bro, not cool! We all got a job to do man, I have a whole family of armours back in Strivvi. This gig puts food on the table, y'know! I don't need no sass from a walking corpse!

One might enquire as to just how manly Sorrow could actually feel, given his... condition! Glad you are enjoying it Endgame. You have certainly been an enthusiastic party leader so thank you for your excellent contributions so far.

The Knight Armour responds to Sorrow's question with almost the same phrase it said earlier: This is sanctuary. It is safe. So children are safe.

Captain Hlin Horrkkba paced up and down the eerie hallway, and turned with a start as the party bundled out of the door on the left - the first realm of sanctuary, the knight statue had called it. He saw three children holding tightly onto the Yeti, and his heart raced... Was it? Could it be? No. No, he knew these children, but none of the three was his beloved Vell. He manoveured the children off of Nagure and told them to sit down quietly. Knowing the Town Watch lawman, the children actually did as they were told. "I am so pleased that you have found three of the missing children. Great job heroes! By my count, there are still nine unaccounted for, including Vell. What is the pl-" Hlin is interrupted by the knight's armour. You have removed the children from their sanctuary. The Guardians will not accept this. The Maginastra will be vexed. No longer listening to the armour, Sorrow explains to Hlin that the party will open the first door on the right. Hlin says that he will take the children outside, as he has several deputies waiting nearby who can take them to their families. The party suspects that he may tell his deputies that he rescued the children himself. The party open the first door on the right. As before, a bright white light obscures their view until they have all stepped through the door. They find themselves... back in the hallway they just left! I just used the same picture, so the bench thing is still propping up the door and the potions on the shelf are gone, before anyone tries to take them again! What will the party do?

Tarn hands over 10 gold pieces to Thothwick. "This is all the coin I have, but I give it gladly to know that it will help the party."

Sorrow's words went over the head of the children, but they appeared unhurt and suffering no ill effects from their abduction. Once they saw Nagure they forgot all about Peggy. They clustered around the Yeti, hugging his legs tightly and laughing. Sorrow led the party in the opposite direction to the keep, and sure enough, after several hundred yards they were all enveloped in white light. When they blinked their eyes open, they stood once again in the hallway of the mansion.

Round Two of the Pegasus Guardian Battle Sorrow vs Peggy - Miss Erik vs Peggy - Hit Mizuki vs Peggy - Shield (Mug) Nagure vs Peggy - Extra Critical Hit Flamerobe vs Peggy - Damage The heroes begin the next wave of attacks, knowing that Drake's shield would protect them from harm. This has a galvanising affect on the party, for although Sorrow swings and misses with his scythe, Erik once again damages the Pegasus (-4), the creature whinnies in constrnation, allowing Mizuki to not only deal a savage blow with her katana (-10), but also find 10 gold underneath a small piece of moss on the follow-through. Nagure wades in again with another big hit of his club (-10), and Peggy drops to the ground, unconcious. The battle is victorious! The party all gain one level!
