  1. We don't need the Internet or radar or anything, we have the stars to guide us, so we can navigate the old fashioned way.
  2. I didn'tthink Tarn concentrating would work, but it was worth a shot!
  3. Without a Remedy to take, Tarn concentrated really hard to dispell the effects through the power of the mind.
  4. Did all the avatars change? Or just the ones with bite marks?
  5. New Lego Scenery pics on my Flickr!

  6. Hello everyone, I'm Alice. I am on this cruise to enjoy a simple vacation and look at the stars.
  7. I haven't vacationed in a while, and always wanted to do a cruise! 1) Are you currently ill? If you are busy with your illness throughout the trip, please do not sign up. I am in the rudest of health 2) Have you traveled on any voyages before? I have been to Gotham, to Fabuland, and Japan. 3) Are you willing to try new and exciting things never seen before on any other voyage? I would love to try new things and see new places 4) Do you need a vacation? Absolutely!
  8. I liked so many of these entries, but prioritised the ones that tried to keep the avatar similar to a previous one whilst adding the sc-fi flavour: 4. Kristel - 1 point 7. toutouille - 1 point 25 Legofin2012 - 1 point 36. harton - 1 point 48. Speedboat - 1 point
  9. What can I say, people loved the hat, so I made it a weapon! We need more Bond references really. Also, I just opened up 7346, Seaside House, and the first thing I did was give the crab a spare cutlass so I could have a Russel of my very own
  10. Tarn nods at the Evoker and opens the right valve. "Perhaps they should have taken my bucket before teleporting," he said to the others. OOC: Thanks to Pep for controlling Tarn whilst I was away! Much appreciated
  11. I came here after reading your review Kiel, and this is funny stuff! Absolutely spot on with the fighting game graphics, although if it was Mortal Kombat the finisher should be a little more gory! Great work
  12. OOC: I am away for a week, going on holiday with very limited internet access, so Pep can control Tarn. Battle well, fellow Bezerker!
  13. Maurice can use the Heavy Armour, it's suitable for Barbarians and Knights and he's part Knight.
  14. Tarn looked at his meagre supply of gold coins and politely stepped back to allow the others to buy what they wanted. He remembered how Guts always seemed to have coin when at the hall, and resolved that when he got back he would visit the Copper Fox once again and become a Raider.
  15. You would still have had to fight the Sisterhood, but Sorona would have fled the battle at the end and appeared in the final battle. The "military compund" thing is interesting because at that point, that's pretty much what Miranda was. The only occupied safe haven was the kitchens, and you managed to get that set on fire. I had lots of aims when creating this Quest and generally I am happy with the way it turned out. I wanted to give the Quest#13ers a chance at a resolution of their decision to let Haroka and Sorona go. I wanted to bring in some of the characters and concepts I introduced in Quest#32 (the Maginastra, the council of the Watchful Eye, the Guardians) and mix those in with Haroka and Sorona. The idea of the Inquisitors and the Sisterhood was that in the Dastan Quests, there were many recurring enemies and I wanted to give the Quest a similar feel. I also had some advice from Zepher about battles and balancing, which was appreciated. The amulets were: a fight, an investigation, and a puzzle. That all 3 devolved into battles wasn't really my fault! I really liked doing the Sorona face puzzle. The battle balancing was skewed heavily towards Guts and his damage output, simply because if it was not, most of those battles (especially against humanoids) would have lasted a single round, perhaps two. However I tried to bring in conditions and effects that made you guys think a bit more tactically, and for the most part it worked. The second fight against the Guardsmen was deliberately hard, and at the time the Sisterhood battle was a struggle without Maurice and his Guardian Angel. It meant that you had to remember the other part of the mission and rescue Hlin. I tried really hard with the sets and characters, I build the majority of the sets beforehand because I was giving you a choice in where you wanted to go. I was most proud of the Tower itself, and the kitchen. The kitchen was the single biggest MOC I had ever done and I think it came out really well. This was my first experience of QMing for Advanced Classes and I have to say it became more and more like a job rather than a fun thing to do, especially the battle calculations which would routinely take me half an hour or more to calculate and write up (and even then I'd miss stuff). Because of that I think it's been a difficult 10 weeks or so, but I am glad I had the opportunity to tell my story and see some great roleplaying from you guys too.
  16. Thank you for the kind words, both. You could have met the other two Inquisitors during the search for the 3 amulets - Blaohoel was at the beach and Wither was by the bridge. As you found out though, once the 3 pieces had been located, they went back to reinforce Haroka in the Tower, as did Floodgate. Sorona would have been there too, but you'd already killed her by then. I will probably follow up with more thoughts tomorrow (hopefully) but I just want to say thank you to those who played, and hope you (and the people following it) enjoyed it.
  17. Byverion sets up the strange flashing console, and the party head back to Eubric. "I believe the original reward was 200 gold pieces to each member of the party. To stave off any further disagreement or prolong discussions, I am willing to make that 250 gold to each hero, and I will take the Darkstar as a memento. Thank you for your help, heroes. You have done so much good in such a short time, and brought peace to Miranda once again. I hail you, Heroes of Heroica!" The Quest is Successful! QM Note: The decision has been made, as I haven't heard back from Sandy, and I really need to wrap this up now. The party stats have been updated with the gold and the items swapped back, I hope I haven't missed anything off. You are able to post in the Hall topic again. 18. QM Note: As discussed in the Discussion thread, you won't get that as the original Quest#13 party were compensated by Haroka to the same amount. You will get what was stated for this Quest, of course. I am checking with Sandy to see if I can give out a retrospective reputation increase as I don't think this has happened before.
  19. Sorry Scuba, what can I say? I know you're just pushing for the best deal but you guys already had the reward from the first Quest and you'll get the reward from this successful Quest completion. I think I gave out enough good loot to the party during the whole Quest this time.
  20. You already got the equivalent gold and full level from making the deal with Haroka in the first place. I would have to check with Sandy whether I could retroactively grant you the reputation increase with the Ziegfrieds..
  21. Byverion stares absorbed at the Darkstar, held in Guts' hand whilst the Raider holds Lifestealer in the other, a statement of intent. "It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing. But I feel nothing emanating from the gem. No lure, no voices. The Darkstar gem was buried with Haroka, and it kept some small glimmer of life clinging to him, and allowed him to control life in the mine. This meant Sorona could bring him back fully into this realm with her dark magics. But now, it is different. You have taken the life from the Dark General, cleaved his head from his shoulders. There is no life left in him, and likewise, the Darkstar. They sustained each other, and now both are spent. It is merely a pretty crystal now. The power of the Darkstar is no more. Do with it what you will."
  22. I already have an explanation, which I was going to use when Guts handed it to Byverion, much like when Nerwen showed the vial to him, but Guts didn't. I think you guys think this might be a trick of some sort, but this really is just the end of the Quest.
  23. I understand that. You've asked. I've said no. I like to give the characters some freedom, as you know, but you have to respect the QM's decision. Guts choices are as follows: Give it to the Maginastra Give it to the Zeigfreids Give it to another NPC group such as the Paladin Order Keep it as an inert shell of what it once was
  24. Not going to happen, as it was never ever intended to be a weapon for player character use, and as QM I stand by that. This isn't a knock on Guts, if any of the party wanted to use it as a weapon they'd get teh same response. I'm considering Guts being able to take it as a "memento" because of his history with Haroka and Sorona in Quest#13 and again in this Quest.
  25. I really should have anticipated that Guts wouldn't just hand the Darkstar over. But if it leaves the Maginastra's room, it will definitely be inert. As I said in the topic, I am not opposed to Guts taking it for RP purposes (I imagine him getting it out in the Hall, with hilarious consequences...) but it won't be a weapon, or able to influence anyone.
