Heading towards the remains of the top of the tower, Guts picks his way carefully through the rubble and the party follow. Through a patchwork maze of fallen stone and broken beams they walk, the oppressive silence getting to each of them. They go deeper and deeper into the ruins, until finally: They run into the Dark General and his Inquisitors! I am very surprised you managed to shatter the protection of my Tower - I was assured by those who gave it to me that it was impenetrable. Once you are begging for your lives, I will make you tell me how you did it. These are my Inquisitors, creatures of such power that the world will tremble before their feet, and wings, and fins. Tarn hefted Helbaerend as it was doubly effective against beasts, and attacked Daylight Rat from the front row.

Kjorfalneire seems almost to smile at Guts, perhaps sensing a kindred spirit in some way. Following the signal and command, the behemoth uses his vast body and long tentacles to smash down the Tyrant's Tower, piece by piece. The party retreat to a safe distance but a stone column just misses Nagure. The size of the Leviathan almost beggars belief, the spiky segments of its body wrapped around the base of the tower whilst it smashes it to dust. Finally, the creature moves off the shattered remains of the Tower of Doom and slopes back into the sea. The party look on in a stunned silence, taking stock of what they have just witnessed, and getting ready for what is to come. They must scour the rubble to see if Haroka, the Dark General, still lives.

The gigantic beast surveys the Raider calmly, frozen in time for a moment, a terrifying lizard of the deep brought somehow to this city, to the Tyrant's Tower. It moves suddenly, frightening with its speed and raw power. It leaps out of the water and begins to climb the Tower. The barrier spells, enchantments and wards cast on the Tower of Doom spark furiously but impotently as the huge creature ascends the tower, water pouring from its scaly body. The beast slithers over the top of it, unleashing a bellow that can be heard for miles around. Kjorfalneire then looks down at the party, far below, as if waiting for a final command.

OOC: I've been given the Angelic Trumpet that Chris should have. Whilst waiting for the others to open the iron door, Tarn takes the opportunity to equip his Darksteel Armour in place of his heavy armour.

A hum begins, a thrumming of energy that to Sorrow, Mizuki, Hlin and Nagure, sounds similar to when they stepped from the Maginastra's mansion into the realms of sanctuary. The amulets flash a bright blue, lighting up the sky. Guts throws the linked amulets into the sea and waits. From the waters edge a blue shaft of light appears, the waves building and building until a giant head bursts from the water. Kjorfalneire, the great leviathan of the seas, a creature which this world has not seen for centuries, has been summoned. It looms over the assembled party, a glint in its red eye.

QM Note: If you ask the Maginastra about it you'll find out what it does. If not, well, it'll be a surprise! And I always saw Sorrow as a very slim character, being undead and all, so I gave him the same cone body as Nerwen and Mizuki. I hope Endgame would agree. I'm glad you like them! I knew when I'd build the Tower in non-minifig scale that I would have to do something like that to show scale, and it allowed me to put your characters into the scene without needing correct torsos/faces etc. I am having trouble with the forum on my work PC so will update soon, may be a double post.

Tarn caught the hint of doubt in the Imp's voice and a wave of melancholy hit him. Hybros was right, he fought hard but wasn't contributing enough to the team. They were better prepared, had better weaponry and were more skilled in combat. He was just making up the numbers. He thought once more of Ella, of the tranquil spirit she possessed, the light shining in her eyes. He longed for her embrace, to feel her heart beating. Instead he was thousands of miles away stuck in this pagoda in an endless battle. He hardened his resolve; he would do better. He would withstand more. He would hit harder. He would make his team-mates proud. He would finish this Quest, then head back to Dastan, come what may.
