  1. Great design raus Built yourself a solid looking rig! Looks very stable even while crawling, hardly a lean. Great job on this CJ
  2. A few minutes ago I bought 8964 Titanium Command Rig for flat $80 minus the figs. Its a little out of my norm of city sets but, have plans to mod it a bit to use at a future construction pit.
  3. I do LOVE trains made by AFOL , my favorite so far, on that, is Gioppa's TGV As far as a train that I own, or can own... is a tough one. I like the Emerald night alot but, the Santa Fe and BNSF and the new Maersk better. As for a train set that is not based after an actual train, I'm with the Metroliner and "The Hornet", Cargo Railway. Of coarse, all Lego trains are great
  4. I'd say absolutely yes, anything Lego!
  5. I was originally collecting Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. I received my first sets when I was 3 or so, I only had a couple, not much to do with. It was in 1995 that I saw a few city sets at our, then NEW, TRU. My mom got my brother and I one each... A decent sized one. From there, I requested and started receiving the S @ H catalog. After that, it was on. Birthday and Christmas were great that year
  6. Great job on the animation legolooney That was funny as h*ll!
  7. Neat exo-suite BrickAvon I just saw your MOC animated on a 'American Dad' Looked just like it at least. Great work on getting this thing to move without tipping! Awesome job
  8. I keep boxes, not flat, with the bags the set came in I plane to line them somewhere in the house (probably the attic) I keep them around should I ever decide to resell my collection.
  9. ... when your collection can finance a new house or car. ...when you'd rather build then spend "quality time" with your better half. ... when eating seems less important. * sorry if any are duplicates. Lot to read. Funny quotes to those on the 4 random pages I read.
  10. Awesome MOCs L@go Love all for especially the two black ones! Keep up the great work
  11. Won 7498 for $74.25 and the SUV from 7635 for $9
  12. Great MOC Selander Great choice of colors and neat pic of the train in the snow
  13. Interesting question 'LTF'. This is what I know: With a cabin at both sides there is no need to turn locomotive. Many multiple units have cabs at both ends , the train may be reversed without uncoupling/re-coupling the locomotive, giving quicker turnaround times, reducing crew costs, and enhancing safety. In practice, the development of driving van trailers and cab cars has removed the need for locomotives to run-around, giving easy bi-directional working and removing this MU advantage. As for speeds forward and backward. Yes I am very sure they can. I say this only on the fact that most of all modern diesel's are diesel-electric. Meaning diesel engine turns electric generator that powers the each wheel motor in the bogies. The diesel engine spins the generator one direction. That power that gets to the wheel motors spins in both; whichever way the current is flowing, even with diesel running at full it only powers the generator. Think of how a remote control car works. One battery power motor that spins both ways, no transmission. Its all done with current. Hope this answered your question.
  14. Great review dr_spock I like this set but, don't own it. While being on the bottom of my list, I'm still thinking about getting one. Thanks for an in depth look at this set
  15. Great review mifody I liked the vehicle comparison photos. Need to get the set with the green dirt bike. I love this set! Best bank so far, at least since the 90's. Two of these makes it even better! Love the storage inside the van! Thanks for the review
  16. Great review LuxorV Love this classic city set! Great to see a review of it. This is one set I had to find
  17. Great FedEx van MOC dr_spock
  18. Great F.D. MOC zeki Great modern design. Finally, a station with four, same size, garages, instead of one in a half. Great job!
  19. Great review Ferrick I like this set a lot. I bought a couple to add to my redesigned city layout (eventually) I got them on eBay for a little less than what TLG charges. Liked this one more than the yellow house for its garage and suburbia look. I missed out on the big tan one with blue car, too expensive now, and the white and red w/ garage looks like it'll go on the farm. The basketball looks a little small though Thanks for the review!
  20. Great review Plissken I do agree with Cwetqo. Not a fan of the Nijago series... I don't get the theme very well I guess. Motorcycles, skeletons, and ninjas... back to what Cwetqo said; the bike IS pretty big. I would buy it if it were much smaller. If only TLG would make a chopper for city. I do like the look of the back of the bike. The front is lacking. I've never liked those skinny wheels. They're ugly, boring, dated. The value doesn't seem too bad and that new 1x4 trans light bar looks neat. Thanks for a good review
  21. Great review Blackbird I don't have the finances for technic.. and city sets. I do however, love these types of technic sets. Until I saw these reviews, I'd never know how intricate the gear system can be. Very enlightening. This look to be a great one to own for sure.
  22. That is an awesome collection Cherno I love the work you've put into these. Tis a shame they must stay in the attic
  23. Really neat scene you created here. Love the detail of the rock formation. Great job on the burnt tree and crow too. I see the bridge could use some new planks, very funny Great job!
  24. To one dedicated EBer. Congrats prateek on your 8,000th post! EDIT: Sorry didn't mean to post this one up so late. Thanks KielDaMan and Princess M. for setting the record straight. I went searching for the ranks you get as you accumulate a higher post count. Never found it... I forgot where you guys put that topic
