  1. Won 6524 Blizzard Blazer, 7636 Combine Harvester, and accidentally won 7890 Ambulance... By accident, I mean I logged on during its last 10 sec and tossed a bid I was sure someone else would beat. That vehicle usually goes for high... Not sure why this one was less than $30. Oh well, love em' anyway.
  2. I would look into this before applying it. This being a a car care product probably has a protective coating that it leaves on the metal. Most likely to help keep brake dust, etc, from sticking to the wheel. How this will affect the current from 9v track to motor, I do not know. It should not make a difference IMO. There may be something else to applying a polish... This may not hold any water but, thinking back to waxing a car (or applying rim polish). After the product is cleaned off, the metal is very slick. As in, running your hand across feeling very little friction. That could give you trouble with traction at low speeds or long/heavy trains. Something to ponder. Just some things off the top of my head
  3. Awesome museum for sure 'RedCross' Awesome job on the exterior but, the interior is to good for words. You really were able to build in tons of detail over numerous exhibits. Tough looking build; very well done. Keep up the great work
  4. I always wondered what that stuff was called, just haven't been inside a hobby store in a few years Bout' time to go! Building a rail grinder, buffer though? I have had success with my dremel. Lower speed, with a variety of buffing pads Good luck though, care to post it?
  5. Octan colors on the exhaust stack? Coincidence? I did notice that but, seems a bit odd to have so many photos of the train if it wasn't the entire set. It is also strange with regards to that pallet... Maybe it can slide onto the back of the truck? Or is it possible TLG didn't think we needed another forklift? If you're a train/ town fan and haven't acquired at least one, there may be something wrong But seriously, can't wait for this train!
  6. Terrific work 'HoexBroe' Very realistic! Do the blue, yellow, and red actually role? I can never tell on MOCs with solid hubcaps. Keep up the great work!
  7. Is that the solution they sell at hobby stores for model scale train care?
  8. I think that might be a little steep for this train. I believe $150 is probably closer in price. I think that might have been one of the reasons for this new PF cargo train. Last years price tag may make it to expensive for adequate product sales. This set has less going on than 7939 anyways. Less pieces = less $$$ (usually)
  9. Great book store 'TSTB' Love the first floor, very quaint. Keep up the great work
  10. Great city 'Cpt S' Love the buildings, especially the first two (reminds me of New Orleans) Keep up the great work!
  11. Neat trailer and garage 'BW' Its so tiny pulled behind the 4x4 Keep up the great work!
  12. I have used glue once... on a model I bought off of ebay... I knew I would never take it apart and there were a few weak points/ individual pieces that weren't holding. That is my only justification. Krazy Glue did the job. All I can say is, think hard about what you're about to do before you do
  13. I generally keep all set models together. I just can't part them out. For that my MOCs are limited to vehicles, small structures, or mods to existing sets. I am using BL to rebuild my loose brick collection for buildings.
  14. I have painted some elements before and have considered doing it again (i.e. stripes, etc). I did paint four roof slopes 'old light gray' for RR crossing. That was before I figured how to use all the functions of searching Bricklink. I used spray paint so it applied thin, to not mess with fitment. Again I have before and may still do it again, only if absolutely necessary
  15. Great idea 'kyphur' I have yet to open my flex track but, I will definitely try this!
  16. Awesome freight yard 'cimddwc'. Terrific work on the gantry crane, I love that! There are wonderful details throughout this MOC. Really great work
  17. Nice service truck 'Spike' I think it would look more realistic with a shorter bed box behind the rear wheel though. Still, great job on this build
  18. Those are very impressive results on some very yellow bricks!
  19. You gotta be kidding me?? Thats pretty neat. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks 'BrickWild'
  20. Very nice work 'Sheriff von S' Looks like the real thing!
  21. Great work 'Lt'. I also love the stickers. Its really neat that you get some gifts from the companies you create MOCs for! Possible career change? Keep up the terrific work!
  22. You're off to an excellent start 'Mookage'. Neat little houses built and great job on the police cruiser. Keep up the great work
  23. Wow, this is so good 'wooootles'! This is huge! Tons of great touches create realism in this MOC. Keep up the great work
  24. Wonderful job recreating this house. Terrific details inside and out. A truly great MOC
