  1. Great MOC 'ISC' love the details and the design of 'Mikael's house. Lawn day does suck, no matter where you are Keep up the great work!
  2. Very nice work 'Cecilli'. Series four looks great. I love all the scenes you've created. Keep it up
  3. The black track and train no but, the gray and yellow definitely are. I sold those exact same type pieces a few years ago.
  4. Great review 'Brickster' I love these creator sets, especially now that they include minifigs and other accessories. I hope you do get another. I would like to see it added
  5. Ordered three BL orders, one rather large, totaling around 2,122 elements and won another 7286 Prisoner Transport for $9.99
  6. Could anyone provide a sound clip or video? I'd love to here one
  7. Ha, that is too funny New slogan "Lego:Worth stealing"
  8. Great work for a 9-year old, she definitely has a talent
  9. Great job 'arator' Neat feature of the retractable wheel. Keep up the great work
  10. Not exactly sure what acronym of LFX you're referring to but, as for the Anastasia Astoria Intl. Hotel in regards to Lego is here. Hope this helps
  11. I am very sorry for your loss. My cat Kittie snuck into a pool near our house last October. We didn't find her until a crew came to get it ready for the summer... She was the only cat that would try and drive a my 1972 M35 Army Tanker or Cat 988B Loader; fearless
  12. Great review 'Rufus'. I have anticipated on a review for this set and you nailed it! It looks great, this is definitely on my want list now
  13. Very interesting question. Since the technic motor isn't actually producing power, I don't think there would really be any load. Its free spinning, so attaching a drill to the crank shouldn't damage anything. Honestly, I don't think a drill will spin fast enough. The average drill's max RPM is around 400, I think. Some thing like a Dremel, that can spin up to 12,000RPM or as low a 1000RPM might give a better result as to what it can handle. If you feel froggy, gradually crank it up til something comes loose. I have a feeling the g-force on the piston would cause it to pop out. Or worst case scenario a a connecting rod jams and cracks. I would like to know instead of speculation on this
  14. It does seem that way. I've purchased many small classic town sets for way less than original price. While looking at the feedback from a member I won from I saw that a couple months ago someone spent $1300 on a sealed Market St... And I thought $730 was ridiculous. But, yes demand has fallen on many sets. Although there are sets like the mid 80's 6391 Cargo Center still fetch a pretty penny. Sets from that era still hold there value. I, personally don't go for MISB if I can get it cheaper opened. I don't mind cleaning/rejuvenating bricks. I have a pretty good method from various tips from other members
  15. I recognize the grey and yellow track parts. Its from a Megablocks set. Two battery powered race cars went around them. There where two variations of black and yellow NASCARs or red and blue Indy cars, depending on what you built, two pit crews, a large track, podium, a sport announcers tower, and a heli-pad. Those last two I still have. I think it was from the late 90's Maybe 99'. Having trouble finding it. Edit: Found it!
  16. Great new additions to your city. Can't wait to see more! Maybe some photos of the east side? Keep up the great work
  17. Epic Anyone notice the sign on the building says "FORCE POLICE"? Shouldn't it be Police Force Gotta love that cheap crap for is comic value!
  18. Thanks 'Lt', I'd agree, a backhoe would look great in New Mannum, maybe a modern version though. Better suited with your 6-wides
  19. Set: 6662 Backhoe Year: 1992 - (1995?) Pieces: 85 Minifigs: 1 Price: $7.25 Theme/Subtheme: Classic Town/Construction Today I will be reviewing this neat old set. I bought this off eBay, a while back, with no box but ,the instructions where in mint condition. It's a relatively small set so more pictures than words Thanks for reading, enjoy! First shot is, obviously the instruction sheet and it unfolded glory. Second is my attempted recreation of it's photo from the manual. Next is the piece layout, all 85: Starting the build: The chassis: Installing the "engine": Jack her up for the front axle. A little help from a tow truck: Final assembly: Dropped off back at the construction depot yard: This was a very simple build, it was fun for the entire 4 minutes. It does provide a lot of playability, cause' with Lego, theres always something to build. It is quite realistic, for being of the Classic Town era. Pros: - Playability from both ends - realistic - good minifig - all around a neat set Cons - Price was originally a little high - Minifig (personally) he doesn't fit in with the rest of my crew, he now works down at the docks Can't find anything else really wrong (move to pros) Final thought: It's definitely a great addition to a construction crew or just around town. It's a versatile machine and it looks great. I hope we will see a new one, redesigned for the modern city. Perhaps similar to this: (Photo not from my collection)
  20. Looks great LegoSjaak I figured you'd end up with a couple. I did the same, start off with two
  21. Wow, For a first build, that looks really good! I love the 1st floor bar, especially the jukebox. Very impressive work. I look forward to you next masterpiece
  22. Thanks 'Big Cam' for the compliments. I also remember thinking "there are a lot of green trains", myself. It is an elegant color (E. Night). The other steam engine really pops, plus green is my favorite color. Perhaps it would be a good topic. So far we have 3? MOT, BNSF, and E. Night from Lego. An a ton of MOCs. I say go for it. Actually that is the carpet Since I don't have room for baseplates I chose a carpet that is. versatile. It acts as road, track ballast, and water. Very tight knit, very cheap. Those trains E. Night and Onyx Night are in storage. Those four lanes of rail where set for the photo. Thats actually the main road through town Space is my toughest adversary as well. I'm constantly storing older sets for newer "used" sets to come in. New ones still in boxes
  23. Another great long hauler 'Teazza' I really like the work on the trailer and its cargo. Keep up the great work
  24. Great layout 'SilentMode' Love the CATAWoL club and the black limo. Great job on the details, especially on the deli. Really great job
  25. Very nice station 'cagri'. Lovely work above and under the platform. Really great job on the tree too. Keep up the great work
