The first is 6755 Sheriff's Lockup originally released in 1996 western theme for around $25 dollars and apparently doing about the same or less on eBay. Next is 6558 from 1997 City subtheme: Divers originally sold for about $30. This set is much more difficult to find on eBay. I purchased mine 6 months or so ago for around $22, listed as 99% complete. I have seen it go for $30-40 but, thats top dollar for one that is used. Diver's had some success but, not much. Last is the $4 6317 Flowers and trees. If its complete or has most of the trees etc and box, it may fetch $7-20. Depending on its condition, completion, and perhaps a little luck. For future reference on any other set(s) you come across take a look here, at Brickset, or here, at Bricklink. Use Lego set product numbers at the top of each box or ins. manual to research the price of the set or individual piece (only on Bricklink) The same can be done on eBay if you search through, toys/hobbies>building toy>Lego>sets>(what ever you choose, i.e. city, train, star wars, etc) Hope this helps

Great build 'LegoCityMann'. I had the same notion as 'Lt' on the drummer reminding me of David Hodo (construction worker) from the Villiage People too A few more band members and a crowd and you'll have a rocking stage! Keep up the great work and welcome to EB

Thats to bad, maybe a later mod then? It looks like rearranging those bluish grey tech pins and possibly switching a few others out would be a quick fix. Only speculating, as I can't see all the details of its build. I does, however, inspire me to try and build one. I don't think I could make it in one uniform color but, a prototype seems possible. Do you BL or PAB for the majority of your parts or do you dismantle sets?

MOD: How the Western Train Chase Was Won - 7597
LEGO Guy Bri replied to AussieJimbo's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well thats sounds like a neat, relatively easy solution to adequately powering this train. I'm guessing the are XL motors? -
Whoever won that got a very sweet deal. Thats what only 6-7 Eur ($11 USD) over RRP. I actually do the same, 5 FB. This is the only way I can afford to get the new city sets and modulars on my list. I am very curious as to what the market price of 7939 Cargo Train will do when the new one comes out. I know that some sets, like the auto repair garage, are doing about the same as they did while they were available from S@H. Glad I only have 1 extra That is freaky, I have almost the exact same back story, except for being college grad. in 2009 and my dark age ending during that year. I too, follow your uncles advice. I have had wonderful success, or luck, of getting my hands on about 97% of the sets I missed out on either because of my "dark age" or because I hadn't been alive or into Lego at the time. Since 2009 my city collection went from around 120 sets or less to over 650 sets. I've tried to use craigslist but, no go there. No one seems to sell much Lego where I live, unless I'm just not searching properly. I will take a look at Kijiji, though.

Awesome job 'JL' These look great. I really like the work on 'Cowboys & Aliens' though I don't think I will be watching the movie itself. Keep up the great designs

Can't wait to get one, unfortunately not until June or July. Bonnaroo comes first

Thanks for posting this. I saw this on youtube a while back. I loved it, it was quite funny. TLG should do more of these, as opposed to, the 20-30 second ones.

MOD: How the Western Train Chase Was Won - 7597
LEGO Guy Bri replied to AussieJimbo's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great scene 'AJ'. The design of the train looks exactly like those of the train from the movie, minus the colors. Still, a great setup none the less -
Great vig 'Cerlin'. Their facial expressions really bring this to life. Keep up the great work
-
Neat hopper trailer 'medib'. Simple yet functional. Any plans to build it? Keep up the neat designs

Great modern city 'fb'. You're off to a great start on your collection and layout. What are the dimensions of your table(s). I'd like to start drawing up plans to move off of the floor too

Very neat modern/contemporary house 'chroute' Love its design! Keep up the great work!
-
Neat little shop here 'Lcf' Perhaps you could build some bike racks to better display the color options. Keep up the great work! On a side note can TLG please give up some mountain bikes?!
-
Another terrific group of MOCs 'L@go'. These definitely have an apartment feel to the. Wonderful details throughout. I love the kitchen appliances and the garage. Very impressive work
-
Your dealership is really coming together 'Lt'. I really like the lift, much better than those from TLG. Is it fully functional? Keep up the great work and updates

I had the same problem with, well mainly 10133 BNSF but, numerous other sets when I started buying Lego again. I had kept up with products sold by TLG but, my interests where else where (buying Lego while in H. School and shortly after just didn't seem "cool"). After I found and floated around this site, my spark was restarted. I am big into trains and city and the BNSF looked so good, I had to have one. I was relatively lucky to get on for, I think $70-80 dollars, well above retail. It has always been a very popular set due to the demand by us AFOLs for it's realistic details. That set, alone, was the highest I have paid for a retailed set. Now, you'd be very lucky to grab one for under $140. It is a highly sought after set, just like retired modulars and like the Eiffel Tower you mentioned. I recently thought to myself, the $90-150 USD modulars can reach $750-1,300 but, how would sets like the 3000+ piece Death Star or 5000+ Taj Mahal do. If there premium price where based on piece count in comparison, a set like that would, in theory, go for $2000+. This is not the case though. They seem to sell for much less. Why would a set like Market St. with 1248 pieces go for more, or similar, price as something like the Death Star with twice the piece count. Keep in mind, both are very sought after and the sets from popular themes.

You really got this up to date. Very nice rendition of an updated version. Tis a shame it isn't original but, this definitely makes up on it's design. I'd take this over the original, very well done

MOC: Modern Fire Truck to fit inside of 10197
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Triborough's topic in LEGO Town
Great fire truck, indeed 'Triborough'. Looks great. Neat solution for the tail lights but, I think I four 1x1 trans red squares or two 1x2 trans red plates to replace the two bluish grey plates on the bumper would complete its modern makeover. Great work anyway and welcome to EB -
Great work on this simple light mod. This tutorial makes it look so easy. I may give it a go. I assume the components are from a hobby store?

Great start on this shed and turntable 'AussieJ' Can't wait to see the progress leading to it's completion. Keep up the great work
