I Captain Mesabi, Hereby establish the Wayfarer Trading Company. Wayfarer Trade Company by North White, on Flickr I intend the WTC to be a Corrington nationalist trade company. The days of sharing the waves with Eslandola should come to an end. Corrington should come first, and it must be us who discovers the new world. Wayfarer is open to all members of Corrington, Eslandola, and the Sea Rats. Oleon members need not apply. Currently, we have 1 member. Mesabi Currently, we have 3 Ships. Bad Blood Icarus Returning The Suckerfish (Not Licensed) I know that I am a new member to the Brick Seas, and I do not expect to receive any monopolies anytime soon or even acknowledgment from the crown. I will, however, do my best to create a Trade corporation for those who favor Corrington. Stocks Each Share of Stock grants the right to 1% of the Profit from Wayfarer Trade Company, and any contests the Chief Shareholder Wins. There are currently 39 shares of Stock Available. I am selling each piece of stock for 50 Doubloons. Anyone interested please PM me. Shareholders: Mesabi: 90 shares Brickwolf: 10 shares

Captain Mesabi stood outside of the overgrown warehouse he had just purchased. He had spent all of his money now, but his plan was complete. Warehouse by North White, on Flickr Two Soldiers approached carrying a chest. Captain Mesabi was surprised. "What's this?" Warehouse by North White, on Flickr The Soldier's dropped the chest. "It's a gift." one of them said. Warehouse by North White, on Flickr "From who?" "Major Dirk Allcock sends his regards and 100 doubloons. "Tell him he has my eternal thanks." FIN Thanks for viewing my latest build! It's not my finest MOC, but I'm happy with it, and it's a good place to leave my story for March. Thank you to @Ayrlego for the gift. C&C appreciated, as always.

Beautiful ship. I love the captain's cabin. The rigging and the sails are fantastic as well. I didn't know you could license ships above a 5. Is there a guide to that? My ship Icarus Returning could be a 5+ as well, and I might want to do that.

Challenge V - Princes of Garvey - RESULTS POSTED!
Mesabi replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
For category "E" can one of my builds be a ship? I guess it would count as my unlimited build, but If I could do that instead of say, the 32x32 category, I would prefer that.- 164 replies

What inspires me to build is the eurobricks rpgs. The idea that there is a story to build to is really fascinating to me and helps guide my builds

Have we decided who we are supporting for Challenge V? I'm assuming ESL, but I want to clarify, before I start posting my Challenge builds.- 897 replies

It was another sunny day in Arlinsport. The breeze blew gently, stirring the hair of Captain Mesabi. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "I expect that you think this will convince me to write favorably about Wayfarer Trading Company to the Queen?" Asked Marshall Booker "Nonsense, Marshall. I am simply having you tour my fine new vessel." Said Captain Mesabi Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "You should do what your conscience tells you to do. It's what I do." "Is that what possessed you to decorate a ship with the bones of Oleonese peasants? Replied Marshall Booker "Bah, someone spoiled the surprise." Said Captain Mesabi Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr The rowboat reached the figurehead of the Icarus Returning, a skeleton with wings. Th Marshall shuttered at the sight. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr They pulled up alongside the vessel. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "Ahoy Captain!" a man in a brown cap called out to the rowboat. "Marshall! Meet Bo'sun Jacobs! he my first officer." "Pleasure, Marshall!" Bo'sun Jacobs said cheerily. The two climbed aboard the ship, while the oarsman stayed in the boat. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "I'll show you around Marshall. The Icarus Returning is a state of the art ship." Said Captain Mesabi proudly "Decorated with dead bodies." Said Marshall Booker coldly. "The Icarus Returning does happen to be decorated with remains extracted from an Oleonese cemetery." Replied Captain Mesabi calmly. "Zeus, are you trying to start a war? You know how the Oleonese feel about relics. Personally, I don't believe any of that mumbo jumbo, but this could cause a serious diplomatic incident!" "I told him it was bad luck." Chimed in Bo'sun Jacobs "We cannot negotiate with the Oleonese. They are the enemy. I saw what they did in the Juniper War, and that's license enough to go grave robbing. And Jacobs, we've talked about this. The spirits of the dead protect this ship, not curse it." "Just show me the ship." Said Marshall booker. "Right then." Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "Here we have the tail gun, and where the crew takes shelter in heavy weather." "Impressive. How many guns does the ship have in total?" Asked Marshall Booker "Seventeen. Five heavy cannons, six deck guns. four mortars, and two swivel guns." Replied Captain Mesabi proudly. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "And here we have the secure cargo room. For valuables of course." Said Captain Mesabi. "This is a class five 'T' vessel. It's built for trade." "Not my area of expertise." Added Marshall Booker. Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr "So what do you think?" Asked Captain Mesabi "She's an impressive vessel. Dead bodies aside." Said Marshall Booker begrudgingly. "You have no taste in decor, Marshall." Icarus Returning by North White, on Flickr FIN Thanks for reading, C&C appreciated. Icarus Returning was built out of the QAR and I recently renovated it for BoBS. It is a class 5T, which I hope to license before the next MRCA.

This is a great train! I love how nice the SNOT technique turned out. I can't even fathom how you made such a good train. I'd love to see a few carriages hooked up to it!

This is a great build! I love everything about this build. The upper floor windows, the sign, the trim. All around it's an excellent build!

Thank you! Now to ask a stupid question. Where is march's trade values for the EGS? I've spent the last half hour looking, and it's killing me.- 897 replies

Wow, this is a great build. I love all the little details in the house. The Piano and the Fireplace are both fantastic. I feel like the door is a bit disproportionate though, but then again I've never been a fan of brickbuilt doors. Great build though, and I really like your story as well.

So, I've been looking to start a trade company as a part of my story. And Corrington doesn't really have any rules on Trade companies. I know we have the science fraternities, but I'm not really interested in those. Can I apply for a Trade Company? I have 2/3 of the MOC's done (A Headquarters, A trade ship) All I need is a warehouse, which I should have done by the end of the week. Which brings me to my second question, do I need to license my warehouse for it to count for a Trade company? I have 2 licenses done already and I want to make the third one count.- 897 replies

It was another beautiful day in Arlinsport, as Captain Mesabi walked down one of the side alleys to his favorite tavern. Hurricane season was coming. So he knew he should enjoy days like today. The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr He entered the Captain's Daughter. He had never liked the name. But the environment was pleasing and the company was good. "Two please," He asked the bartender. Two red mugs were handed to him and filled to the brim with rum. "Yah betta settle up yer tab soon Mesabi. Else I'll send the gov'ners men aft' yah." The Bartender said Captain Stared hm down. The Bartender recoiled. "I have until the end of the month. You wouldn't want to lose your best patron would you?" said Captain Mesabi in a tone that could chill the bone. "Right then." The bartender glared at him as he walked away. The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr Captain Mesabi sat down. Soon, who he was waiting for arrived. The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr The accountant sat down. "I must say, I'm a little curious about why you wanted to meet me. Especially after yesterday." The accountant said. "Right. Sorry about that." Captain Mesabi said. "Let's start over, what's your name?" "Darby Tyler the third." Darby still looked a bit unsettled. The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr "Let me tell you some of my story. I first saw combat in the Juniper war. I won't tell you what happened then, but it was the kind of thing that changes a minifigure." Captain Mesabi said, in a dismayed tone. "Okay..." Darby looked still more unsettled. "Afterwards, I became a member of the Queen's Guard. I was a palace guard for about six years before I transferred out here." Captain Mesabi said "Look, I came here in the hope that you were going to tell me you were going to apologize, and then tell me you were giving up on your plan." Darby said, Captain Mesabi took a large gulp of rum. "I dd apologize, and if you'd let me finish.." The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr Darby interrupted him. "A Joint Stock Company is not something you should be doing! You have no business experience! You have 25 Doubloons total which you already sank into a headquarters! You have 1 class C ship. What are you going to do?" Captain Mesabi answered. "I wanted to give you a job." Darby replied. "Wait What?" "I need someone to run the day to day operations, crunch numbers, dispatch ships while I work on the, well, bloodier aspects of running a JSC." "You clearly don't know what you're doing." "Alright, I don't. That's why I'm looking for people who do. You'd make a great addition to The Wayfarers Stock Company." "You're insane" "Will you at least consider it? "Fine." Darby put his hand over his head in exasperation and walked out. He hadn't even touched his Rum. The Captain's Daughter by North White, on Flickr "Kids these days are so wasteful..." FIN C&C appreciated, I based the tavern off of The London Escape, and stole a lot of the pieces to the build from it. This is the second property I will license this month, and since its my first small one its free!

I'm still new at this, and I'm having trouble finding rules. What are the rules for licensing properties in regards to quantity? I heard 3 was the limit, but I'm not sure. And does this affect ship licenses? Or is that a separate amount per month. Finally, I would like to apologize to the staff for messing up a bunch of forms, and mislicensing a couple of buildings. I didn't realize you couldn't license buildings in the capital, and that your first free building couldn't be a medium. Also, I'm probably short on funds to license a medium building anyway, hopefully my faction can loan me some. If you would like me to resubmit the forms correctly, please let me know, I don't want to send a second form and confuse you. -

Very nice build, I really like how you did the jungle. The river is nice too. And I really like your story as well. I don't think the title is appropriate though, that river looks knee deep at best
