  1. @The Last of Nergoue: of course he's not kidding! I tend to get offended very quickly and say very nasty things too (about sand and snow, just to give some examples. Or megablocks, or even worse: pumpkins!) * But hey, welcome to the guild with the on average least internal struggles (not thinking of Varlyrio right now). That is, if @Henjin_Quilones and myself aren't active at the same time! ** * Only true if someone has actually said something not very positive about Avalonia. Trashtalking is my favoured business, I'm sure you'll notice ** Only true if... If... Well, never true actually. He's a great fellow to be online with at the same time, I'm sure you'll notice as well!
  2. Have fun with all the sand, and you're always welcome to come over and join a tree hugging party if you want to
  3. These are some epic warriors Niku! I really like the use of the death LOTR soldiers, though maybe changing their arms to dark green or so would have them look a bit less like zombies? On the other hand, the archer with the masked face just scares the megablocks out of me, so that could be a tactic too
  4. Seems like I'll have to buy myself some Ninjago figs one day, thanks narbilu!
  5. Okay, that makes a lot of sense to me. Now the MOC is even cooler!
  6. Some very cool figs you've got here, may I as where Throll's torso comes from?
  7. Welcome to the guilds! I have to second Grover's long post on the pathway, which could use some extra detailing, but aside from that I like the build, especially the trees As I spot a few technic bricks with hole in the base, may we expect the build to be expanded?
  8. Great use of the curved tiles on that door, and the pillars, and an excellent colourscheme, and the sweet floor pattern, and the interiors... Nice job
  9. All these arches are so great! I also second HQ about the use of symbols etc, but you've solved it very well with these arrows and additional lore Also, I'm a big fan of the door hinges
  10. Your terrain is improving for sure, and the action comes across very clearly Keep bricking on!
  11. As others have already said: that pipe organ is just yummie-yummie! I hope to see some vignettes for the other family members as well...
  12. A very nice introduction build, a very cool quai! Looking forward to seeing your story develop
  13. Sweet countryside for sure! Though the vegetation could maybe profit from some variation or other colours, the dark red roofs work very well. Nice residence
  14. Actually, I really like the cartoonish looking desert, all those curves look very nice! Though the tan sheet doesn't contrast very well with all the sand (maybe dark red or green could have added a cool drop of colour?), the packed horse is a really cool detail
  15. Such a nice build, I'm glad you were part of our team HQ! The landscaping is very nice, I'm particularly fan of the pond, and I like the sheep design as well, but the star of this MOC is defenitely the little house. I'm in love with it's tudor sections, they're classic yet your own touch is still visible The rounded parts are just (and you did a great job rounding those, I imagine that must have been a bit of a pain?)
  16. I look forward to seeing you shape the Old World, thanks Ross Fisher! Thanks Mesabi, I had been wanting to build in the Old World for a veeeeeery long time now Aye, I have discovered the same thing: how different builders look differently at the same thing. IMHO, its part of Eurobrick's beauty Looking forward to seeing your Belson build completed! Thank you! Glad you like the figs, its probably the first time I've put so much effort and time in them too. Thanks! Good to see you like the tudored sections, tudor for the win eh Thank you Kai! Thanks! Thanks Garm! Maybe that's because I've always had the idea of posting it in BoBS in the back of my head while building for the SJ? Both signs (@soccerkid6) and lanterns (Legopard) are copied from other builders. I hope it too I was very glad for having you to give me feedback (and lots of courage ) during building, but I'm even gladder you like the tudor sections (speaking of which: I've been messing around with alternative colours, trying to avoid white as much as possible. What do you guys think about that?). The soldiers are my favoured part too I'll see what I can do in the future, thanks bd! Thank you! I have to admit most building techniques aren't exactly new, but I'm still glad you like them! Thanks! Thank you Ayrlego, it was great to build something later than I'm used to, but still earlier than most of the BoBS-themed builds! Oops, I hadn't realised that's your face as well, sorry! I hope you don't mind? Thanks bodi Thank you, glad you liked it!
  17. Thanks! Thank you Gideon, that's good to hear! Aye, I've realised that such a floor must be very, very annoying Thanks Kai! Thanks Henjin, glad you like it! Well, the chapel is used for council meetings etc as well (I just named it chapel as a small room where sacred things happen, was not really thinking of any religious rites or so), does that make sense? I got it, thank you dG! Nowadays, I feel like the glass design is a bit standard and needs some variation or added dimension, but you're right: the table design is great Thanks SK! Thank you Grover!
  18. Clean indeed! I'm a huge fan of the imp statue, and its quite funny to see an imp inside as well
  19. Being creative with the HSS categories, I love it Very nice build, I especially like the way you've topped of the roof!
  20. Lots of arches here, I defenitely like that! Together with the balconies, they make for a very Varlyrian feeling The city is getting ever bigger, it seems...
  21. A very very very nice build for sure! The busy feeling and lots of small details, typically Varlyrian indeed! I really like that you've included interiors (though as others have said: its a bit confusing when both interior and exterior are shown on one picture). I also feel like adding two or four studs to the right side of the build wouldn't hurt, so the tall building can expand a bit and isn't so... needle-y anymore? (I hope you get what I mean there) Aside from these two little things, you've used some excellent techniques, especially on the roofs
  22. I don't know how Flickr works on mobile, but with a desktop you'd tap/click the little share arrow, and instead of using the direct linkt you'd use the BBCode provided in the same window...
  23. A sweet build for sure! Loving the d m flesh-and-l bley combo! I'm looking forward to seeing that city completed (though to be honest, I feel like the build is better presented on a black border) Lastly: thumbups for showing the backside and, more important, adding interiors
  24. Such an honour to have you in our team Zlatan, this jungle scene is just amazing I love all the vegetation, and the spilling borders work very well IMHO! He bought it right here
