Lego themes that we would like to happen
YellowCorvette replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Totally agree.Ben 10 can be a great theme, but TLC just ruined the theme. What we need is minifigures Ben Tennyson, the Ailens like Heatblast, villain characters like Vilgax and other Ben 10 characters with brick-built vehicles like Grandpa Max Van and Vilgax Ship.Lego fans don't need a bunch of stupid looking action figures! Star Wars theme also need to make more new sets, not more remaked sets. It's kind of dump that TLC prefer to release remaked sets that new sets. We're tired of remaked sets and we need more sets that based on screens from the movies and more EU stufts, like a VT-49 Decimator set,Geonosian Arena, and a new E-Wing Escort Starfighter will be awesome. But what about Ben 10!?Bandai also make Ben 10 action figure, and you say that TLC don't want to have a theme that promotes the products of it's competitor. In Ben 10 cases,it's invalid.Plus,I didn't say that TLC need to make the sets based on any of Transformers cartoon and movies.TLC can make they own Transformers story and sets, like The Yoda Chronicles from Star Wars theme.- 451 replies

What Lego-related dream did you have last night?
YellowCorvette replied to syy89's topic in Community
Last night I have a dream about I get the UCS Millenium Falcon set.In the dream,I through it was real, but after I wake up at the next morning,I found that my dream will never been happening. -
Take pictures with my Hero Factory sets with awesome poses with a Ipad.I really enjoying posing my Hero Factory sets with great and awesome poses.Sometimes I add some special effect at the pictures,in order to make the pictures look more amazing.

Just ordered some transparent red 1x1 round studs from Pick A Brick.I need more 1x1 round studs to use with the stud shooters I ordered before.

Easy. The reason I think the sets has wrong color scheme is because of 3 reasons. The first reasons is when A New Hope is released in cinemas, the blue screen technology at that time don't allow the TIE fighter original color ,that is blue, look good on screen. So the crew changed the color from blue to grey as seen in 9492. The second reasons is at the time Star Wars theme is released, some of the bricks are not available in the right color.Because of the palette and the parts limitation,TLC don't have other choice other than change the sets color scheme. The third reasons is at the time Star Wars theme is released,TLC targeted kids as the main audience of the theme. As you know, children like bright and beautiful colors. So in order to make the children's interested to buy Star Wars sets,TLC make the sets has a more colorful color scheme.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
YellowCorvette replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't understand what you talking about. -
What set/sets brought you out of your dark ages?
YellowCorvette replied to 22kane's topic in Community
My dark ages is totally between November 2012 until March 2014.When I once again interested with Lego,I have already missed many good sets. The set that take me out of my dark ages will be totally 44019 Rocka Stealth Machine,my first Hero Factory set.I love the Rocka mini figure in the set more than Bionicle minifigures.I also get Furno Jet Machine this year as a birthday present, but Rocka Stealth Machine is still my favorite, because this set is the one that bring me out from my dark ages. -
I don't have many sets, mainly because I'm a student that didn't go to work yet. (Yes,I'm buy Lego using the money from my piggy bank!) But however,my biggest regrets on Lego is leaving my hobby to play with Lego in 2013.I get my interest with Lego once again in 2014,but at that time I has missed many great sets, like 75003 A-Wing,75004 Z-95,and 60009 Helicopter Arrest that already been retired now. But luckily,at the same time,I also discovered Hero Factory Invasion From Below sets that are not bad too.I get 44019 at the time I'm interested once again in Lego, and I want to keep it.Forever.

Hi evey EuroBrickers from all around the world.Today i would like to make a review about hte Lego City Police Accesory Set that released at February 2013. Set Information Set name : Lego City Police Accesory Set Set number : 850617 Piece count : 34 Age recommended : 5+ Theme : Lego City Police Year released : February 2013 Price : $14.99 Lego Shop website description: Fight crime in LEGO® City! Fight crime in LEGO® City with 4 prebuilt police minifigures and a police dog! Begin or expand your LEGO City Police collection with tons of story-sparking accessories including a police barrier, bone, handcuffs, binocular element, metal detector element, flashlight, walkie-talkie element set, briefcase and 2 megaphones.• Includes dog and 3 pre-built male and 1 female police minifigures with accessories• Features police barrier, bone element, 2 handcuff elements, binocular element, metal detector element, flashlight, walkie-talkie element set, briefcase and 2 megaphones.• Expand your LEGO® City Police collection! The Box/Packaging I accidentally throw away the box/packaging of this accesory set,but here is how the packaging look like according to LEGO Shop Website. As you see from the picture, the set is packed with a plastic cover that sealed on a smooth textured cardboard with a simple ilustration.I don't very like how TLC design the packaging, because the plastic cover can be easily opened by sharp object like scissors and dagger.I prefer to packing the set in a small box. The Build Same like the City Fire Accesory sets, the minifigures has already been built.Nothing special here. The Minifigures Same like the City Fire Accesory sets, this set is provided with 4 minifigures. In this set,you got 1 SWAT male Police Officer minifigure with hair,2 SWAT Male Police Officer with SWAT helmet, and 1 SWAT female Police Officer.here is the front look at the minifigures. I don't like how the visor attached to the helmet.Same like the other 2013 City Police set,you use this helmet thing and connect the visor like how you connect this goggles piece to Hoth rebel trooper helmet in Star Wars sets.but the visor is not sturdy and it will easily fall out from the helmet.None of the minifigures has a alternate face. The back view of the minifigures. All minifigures in this accesory set has back printings, which is not a bad thing. The Accesories In this accesory set,you get 2 handcurfs,2 torch light,1 mini suitcase,1 white road block that also available in 60044,1 dog,1 white bone,1 redesigned metal detector,2 black megaphones that used as blaster from the early years of Star Wars theme,2 over-sized walkie-talkie and 1 mini binocular. Some interesting parts in this accesory set. The whole set with minifigures. Rating Minifigures - 6/10 Nice and detailed printings on the minifigures, but I need some new face printings in the City Theme minifigures line. Parts - 6/10 Nothing special, except the dog, redesigned metal detector, the road block, and the bone. Build - 0/10 Nothing to build. Price - 3/10 Expensive for what you get when you compare it to the other $15 - $20 sets. Design - 2/10 For a accesory set, what the heck is the word "design"? Overall - 5/10 Final Verdict After I buyed this set and play with it with my City police forces,I rate this set as a average set.Althrough this set has good minifigures, give me some good pieces, and expand your City police forces, but if you compare this set to 7279,60042,and the other $15 - $20 sets,it's expensive for what you get. Overall, not the worst accesory set you can get,but not the best accesory set. Thanks for reading this review! The end. By Armstrong Yong

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
YellowCorvette replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If you want a Watto minifigure, the new Darth Maul minifigure, and you hate the look of the 2011 Sith Infitltrator, that is the set for you. But be ready to have enough money in your wallet, because you may found the price is ridiculous. If you like it,get it. If you don't like it,get a cheaper set and a battle pack. -
Yes, I know it Admiral Ackbar.But I don't think it's funny.
-
I don't get it.

Not bad for your first LDD MOC!Only one way i will recommend to improve this model,is have a look at the design of 75018 Jek 14 Stealth Starfighter and make the jet engine been round because the engine is too flimsy and exposed.I don't mean i don't like this model, but with some improvements,it can be better.

Yes,we need a new TIE Advance since the 2009 version is already been outdated. I will also like to see a new X wing. But I would prefer to have a new Wedge Antiles minifigure over a Rebel Ground crew,Because since 6212,we didn't get any Wedge Antiles minifigure anymore,so it will nice to see.

Hi every EuroBrickers from all around the world! I like the Speed Champions theme and i in love with the sets.My favourite one is Porsche 918 Spyder, maybe because Porsche 918 is my favourite Porsche car. But however,I find that the new parts from Speed Champions is not available in LDD yet,so i need to find a alternate solution. But now,i have just successfully find a alternate solution to build Speed Champions car in LDD,that is using the existing LDD parts to modify the chasis. Here, i introduce you Porsche 918 RSR concept race car in LDD form.No printings or stickers are available on the car. You wonder how i make it?See the picture below. I build the chasis according to the instruction of 75910,and i modify the chasis using the parts that used in City Theme vehicles. I don't very like the back section .the tail lights looks blocky and because of the absence of the Speed champions pieces, the back section been not as curve like the real porsche 918 RSR concept car and looks too sharp.Hope the next LDD update will including the Speed Champions parts. Because the absense of the Speed Champions Windscreen in LDD,i use the windscreen and car roof from City theme. This cause the car looks less sleek and dynamic, but at the same time,You don't need to lean the driver down to fit in the car with the roof. The real Porsche 918 RSR Concept race car. I know that it's not 100% accurate, but because of the part limitation, that is the best i can do. Any comments and critism are welcomed. Need the LDD file? Download here: Porsche 918 RSR.lxf Have a nice day!

[MOC] Lars garage - help me Obi Wan Kenobi...
YellowCorvette replied to Richpepperell's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You model looks very good and the details are captured well.Only one way I will recommend to improve this model,is switch the 2014 Tatooine Luke head into 2013 Ewok Village or 2015 Death Star Final Duel version instead. The 2014 Luke head is too detailed and the lines on his face is totally an eyesore. -
What a great model have you done! I like the detailing on the ship. Although it not as big like the rejected UCS Invisible Hand at Lego Ideas, but your one is quite nice and you capture the ship quite well in small scale like this. Great Job!

[MOC] Crimson Empire III small vignette
YellowCorvette replied to tibland2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The model looks good and I like the Royal Guard. But only one question, why would a Royal Guard want to attacking stormtroopers? I'm not a fan of Star Wars Expanded Universe,so I sorry for my stupid questions. -
Good review and not a bat set,but however this set has some flaws, too. First, the face printing on Sabine printing make her look more aged, and the skin color should be more darker, like in the show. Second, the speeder itself is too big compared to the show.In the show, the speeder bikes are more sleek looking and act more as a scout vehicle. But in this set,the speeder itself is too oversized, bulky and not as sleek like in the show.
