Jup, and that's a bit sad. Of course there are exceptions, but for now, a lot of potential is not being used. Perhaps most of the licencing agreements nowadays state that they want their characters to be portrayed as accurately as possible, therefor forcing the designing of a unique hairpiece time and again.

Ah, yes that must be it. I'm not so familiar with OW...
-
Pretty sure it's an ordinary 4x4 dish in sand green, since the hatch uses one as well. I think it's supposed to be a landmine? Anyway, once again I really like these OW sets; fun designs, detailed figures and great colour palette!

I initially thought it was a recolour of Dr Inferno's hair, but a new piece indeed. I'm wondering if Roadhog's hair and mask are minifig compatible, or if they are bigger and fixed, as is the case with Hulk. Definitely going to use Junkrat's hair for a custom Sayan, if I can get it. Btw, many of the Harry Potter hairs of this wave are available on B&P.

Displaying at events: How to get started?

I had forgotten I posted this topic! I've been at quite a number of events since posting that, maybe I should edit the first post and add some of my experiences. -
Ninjago Legacy Contest Winners!
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
@Peppermint_M Big thanks for hosting this contest, it was the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to my favorite LEGO theme! Once again, congrats to big winner @Garmadon, to @_shaddow_ and to @Pate-keetongu and @Bricknave, who had fantastic entries early in the game and set the bar high for those who followed. Sweet! That's an offer I simply cannot refuse, yes please! -
Ninjago Polybag Contest - Voting
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I find having the host cast the decisive vote a more fitting end to the contest than relying on the roll of a dice. -
Personally I don't think that GoH is the place to share this, even if it is a nice gesture. Any one of us is able to navigate the forum and visit other topics, so those of us who are interested in B&P, or anything useful for castle and medieval fantasy, might as well discuss this in the topics that have been created for discussing that: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/118184-lego-licensed-parts-available-from-bricks-pieces/ For anything B&P related. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/118572-latest-impact-of-other-themes-on-historic-themes/ For any new castle/medieval & fantasy pieces.

Cool! I am glad it is appreciated!

Ninjago Polybag Contest
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Here is my unofficial vote count for both contests: https://puu.sh/DJH0u/f069e852cc.xlsx If I counted correctly, the first place is shared by three entries, and the runner ups follow at a marginal distance. It's all very close together at the top! -
I've been (unofficially) keeping the score for both contests. I don't know if @Peppermint_Mintends to cast a final vote, but I will go ahead and congratulate @Garmadon for winning the Legacy contest, with double of the votes of the runner up! That's the way you do it! You can download the excel file I've been using here: https://puu.sh/DJH0u/f069e852cc.xlsx

[MOC] - Ninjago: Cole´s Quadbike

Good idea to use the small joints with bar ends as faux steering/suspension Btw, I think the back would flow together more nicely if you put those flags with the straight side up, along the rock piece. -

Zamorah is coming along very nicely, and strongly too! I don't think there's any feature that I like which has not already been mentioned above, so I'll just go with the stand-outs: the old tree, the (angled) scaffolding and the dragon hilts used as outlets (NPU!). Love the wall texture, too. Fantastic work and superb entry!

How do you mean? There are 9 more days to vote!

Simple, Zane's too cool for glitters. To be honest, I wish they would be without glitters by default, although it may grow on me once I see them hands-on.

Ninjago Polybag Contest - Voting
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So... Polybag contest has 15 votes (that's barely more than the amount of entries), while the Legacy contest is at 25, and counting... It should be possible to get a few more votes here, right? -
[Polybag] Llyod's Mini Monastery
Exetrius replied to Umbra-Manis's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hang on, I thought you used this one: https://brickset.com/parts/design-21907, which is a Ninjago piece; from the Temple of Airjitzu. -
That's some seriously inconsistent approval. My guess is that with the first project, the employee on duty thought it was okay, then later it was decided nothing Stargate related would be approved, but that decision couldn't be enforced retroactively. Then, the second project, which doesn't say Stargate in the title, was approved carelessly. It's a stretch, but humans make mistakes; I wouldn't recognize anything from Stargate except for that portal, even though I do recognize a ton of things (if I may say so myself) from films, series and games I haven't seen or played. Edit: Check out the latest official comment on the Thunderbirds Are Go project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/d11d97d2-7b84-4011-879d-27443a086404/official_comments#content_nav_tabs There is this peculiar phrase: Can be just me who finds this odd, but why would they mention that specifically in the comment of a different project?

[Nocturnus Civil War] Turmoil in Camp Carakath
Exetrius replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
High praise, thanks SK! I feel like I have improved a lot in the SNOT department last year or two, surely thanks to building mecha for a while. I'll do my best to sustain this level of quality in my future GoH builds!- 20 replies

Thanks, guys! What I personally like about it is that he's basically in the exact same position as in full-sized set. Probably not as secure or comfortable, though...
