Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
That Shang Chi set looks like one of funnest set for kids. 2 bikes, a car, and a turret is sick. As for us AFOLs, its just a Lego City set with some generic MCU-based figures. Nothing iconic or crazy. The other set may have more value for us, but I may wait and see if the polybag includes Shang Chi because his fig is all I want. -

Maybe this means that we’ll be getting a more brown Rocket? If not, he’ll just look like a too dark gray with gray fur and a gray torso. Regardless, all of this is very exciting. The potential is huge! -

Ummm... okay I always love these types of sets. Symbiote Iron Man looks even better than the first one. It has always reminded me of the Spider-Man Web of Shadows video game but I never wanted to spend $30 on that awful set he came in, so this is great. Good way to get that new awesome Spidey, Symbiote Spider-Ham is a hilarious choice of a variant Pork Grind is a funny choice of a villain, and I don't have that Venom yet. The build is basically a Lego City go-cart but whatever. :) -

Set looks interesting. Death Dealer looks great, Dragon is fun. Not a fan of Shang Chi’s MCU look. In the comics his costumes are so nice and vibrant, even the plainest one that they based this look off of is more interesting with some more yellow splashed in there and some boots. Even a sleeveless look may have helped. Regardless, with so much Ninjago out there, it should be an easy fix to make a purist -

I honestly thought we were going to have to wait for this to drop for us to get an Advent Calendar. Thankfully thats not the case though! So glad they're doing this, have a feeling this will be a day one purchase without even seeing it. -

If its MCU based, the only figures I would not want are a Hulk and Black Widow. Hulk as a minifig has never worked for me and we kind of already got two great Black Widow in the last year that make a perfect version of her when you mix and match them. And the only MCU figs I really want are FFH Spidey, Stealth Cap (scale suit does nothing for me), Mark 85 Iron Man with Gauntlet, and a couple of villains. If its comic based, I just want some villains and an Iron Man with dual molded yellow legs with red boots. We’ve needed those legs since the Mighty Micros version came out. -

Him and Sersi are the only ones I feel like will join the Avengers one day, especially if the Skrulls and Kree are in the MCU is going forward. An Operation Galactic Storm type of event would be so great with them included. As for these sets, I echo everyone else's sentiments of WOW. What a surprise this was and it actually made me excited for the movie. Every figure looks great even in the cheap sets. And a Celestial build While he looks accurate to the movie's art we've seen so far, I can definitely see people bulking him up to be more comic accurate and even color swapping him to make some other Celestials. -

Ik man They pretty much have all the parts for those figs and we’ll still never get them unless they show up in the MCU. And even that isn’t a guarantee to figures (*ahem* Endgame, black and red Spidey, no Zemo or Kaecilius in Civil War or Dr. Strange sets) And if you ask Lego, I bet they’d say Iron Spider is exclusive because even though its the 2020 fig it has the Infinity War backpack arm build, so therefore it can’t be the same -

These accessory packs are some of my favorite sets Lego makes for Marvel and DC. Decent small builds, heroes vs. villains, nice figs; it’s all you need. Love being able to get that Harley. (But I have to say it every time we have a discussion with Harley involved please give us this pigtail piece in red and black one day Lego.) As Guyon2002 said, not a day one buy, but definitely still a buy. -

Yes please! Super excited for Armor Wars myself, such a cool storyline and I’m glad to be seeing more of Rhodey. With him and Riri on the slate now, we can potentially get more official MCU Iron Man figures with the old helmets. New armors are always welcome for everyone’s Hall of Armor. Also, 2022 might be the best chance for a Marvel Advent Calendar with the GotG Holiday Special. -

I actually like this set since it lets you get some good figures in a cheap way. Love the 2020 Harley (presumably the same one). Will this be the only accessory pack Lego's done without any exclusive figures or pieces? -

And the Skeleton Boy in the Halloween CMF. Other than these, I don't think they've done any others. Which is a shame because Vision (as Quicksilver838 mentioned) and Spider-Man and Nick Fury could all use it. -

Heads up to anyone in America, Kohl's has some Black Friday deals going on rn. The Endgame Rescue and Professor Hulk set is on sale from $60 to $42 and the FFH Stark Plane set is down from $70 to $49. This is the lowest I've seen these sets go and they are pretty much the prices they should have been in the beginning imo. -

I feel like we’ll look back on this as a pretty decent wave tbh (except for the Hidey Hole. The only saving grace is the “Ultimate Spider-Man” suit. Even for kids there are so many sets of far better value). The Mysterio and Ghost Rider sets, although far from perfect (goofy looking Doc Ock, Ghost Rider’s strange mouth and lack of chain, rehash Carnage, Ghost Spider still looks sooo plain compared to how vibrant she looks in the comics) both have great value. You get so much in the Mysterio set for $40 its nuts. The mechs (especially Miles’s) do their job of offering up some decent figures and some good parts and play value for $10. But we’re still a long way from where we want to be with this theme especially when compared to others. -

Love the sound of this! A cheap way to get the Child plus a new Mando. Even the vehicle choice is great along with the bag for the Child. You can have all the mains in one convenient place. I understand this may irk people who bought all the other Mando sets and expected a new character but I was afraid that general consumers would never be able to get an affordable way to get Baby Yoda. -

Seems like they’ve been doing this with polybags and promos they have leftovers of. Hope everyone who wants the tower can get it, I got it free when it was out and its one of my favorite promos. The Tony Stark fig is amazing to keep on the Hall of Armor circular suit-up platform. -

Taking a closer look at the Miles Morales hood piece, it looks like the inside edges are flat enough to be printed on. Hopefully this means that Spider-Gwen can have some pink printing on her hood to make her figure more accurate than the last one. It would be a shame if they made a whole new piece but still couldn't print on it. -

I agree To me its a matter of the face being wide while Robbie is meant to be thin as the torso shows. Its a little strange and I’m sure it will look better in person as others have said but right now its too jarring for my eyes. As for Spider-Man he’s easily the best one we’ve gotten. Eyes aren’t too big, webs aren’t too thick or thin, perfect balance of colors (red torsos are the way to go). The arm printing is great but for anyone complaining I get their point but its just how printing light colors on dark plastic works. You could swap it out for plain blue arms and the fig will look just as good I feel. -

The “V” is part of his costume. Its on his whole torso, the rest is just cut off because he is wearing a hoodie. Exabrickslegogo has it right now as his first post. -

Man that Ghost Rider is so underwhelming. That face... It looks like they gave him the female hip curves with the light gray on the sides. -

I believe its real but I have the same thoughts as you. I think the problem is trying to imagine what those legs represent in real life and the only thing that makes sense is that they’re gray sweatpants with black AF1s. -
Always love when people mix old and modern Lego and this is one of the best jobs I've seen. As others have said, very nice work.

My thoughts exactly. I'll throw a micro-scale Avengers Compound in there too akin to Hogwarts. Quinjet could be wall mounted with that new hanger piece they made for the Batwing.
