Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thor’s House: The New Asgard sign That’ll look great for anyone making a MOC of the town or the scene with Thor and Rocket on the truck. Not a fan of the window placement in Thor’s House. Never liked when a widow is placed directly against the edge of the build, it always makes a build look looks unfinished. Figures are nothing I want. I’d rather wait for the non-casual versions of Korg and Miek. —————————— Hydra Stomper: seeing Peggy makes me super excited to see Stealth Suit Cap one day Her torso looks great. Not a set for me, but figs are great and the build is so vibrant and fun looking. -

Ahh makes sense. Just Lego being Lego in the case of that set. -

I think if the tiara was a bit higher than the hair (the more comicy look) and thus dual molded or made of rubber, the figure would have been absolute 1000% perfection. But it still looks spectacular and I’m very excited to pick it up and see all the rest. The detailing is amazing. EFB? -

Same feelings here. I dig it more than the small Luke or Yoda's shack builds from the Star Wars sets. At first I thought it was a micro build of all the Avengers in the Sokovian Church scene from Age of Ultron. But then the pixels started to reveal themselves as the inside of Thor's house. -

I’m not sure if anyone pointed this out yet, but the Funko Vision follows this same color scheme. After looking it up, it certainly looks better than expected. -

Now that would be great. I think there was unused concept art of him for Infinity War. I would love some more Thor/Asgard/9 Realms lore in the MCU and Lego. -

Not sure why everyone lost their sh*t when we knew that the Advent Calendar was going to repeat figs and that Spidey’s torso was not Homecoming accurate only Homecoming inspired. Its a set filled with fun surprises and main characters for kids. My biggest gripe is that they gave Thor his Infinity War hair instead of his Square Enix hair. The video game hair was the perfect color and here they excluded it because of the scarf. Also, does anyone see the 1x1 arc reactor print? I can’t see any print on that snowman. And what on earth is Spidey holding? A churro? What pieces are those? -

“Not a leaker” + “” = ?? Set looks good, size makes it seem like it should be $30 as opposed to $40. Its perfectly mishmoshed and the car feature is pretty cool to include. Is this the first 2-in-1 for the Marvel line? Tony’s classic Lego-ified rock tee is great. Lego has knocked it out of the park with their Tony Lego figs (4/5 at least). New Valkyrie looks much nicer than the original too. Is the gray accurate though? Always seems bluer to me than gray. And ofc Uatu -

Wow until you mentioned it, neither did I. Just looked up images of the ship from from the movies and raised the brightness on my screen and the ship is clearly a Chitauri tan and gold color. I saw Funko do a similar bronze/tan color scheme for their rendition of the ship and I always thought it was strange but I guess they were right. I like the ship, it looks iconic and really intimidating from the front. Just the side in that image where the girl is playing with it, the ship reminds me of the plane in the Wonder Woman movie set. I’ll just bricklink the Iron Man for my Hall of Armor (very happy this set exists to bring the price of that fig down even more). Thanos looks amazing but I don’t need him and while Captain Marvel fig looks good I like the one I have now from her solo movie better. -

Thanks for posting these man they look absolutely awesome! I think I gotta go with the slicked back hair, but the official hair looks so much better than I thought. Great Blade update too, the stud without the hair always looked a little too plain for me, and those legs are the best for adding detail imo. If I get these figs, I’m 100% making those combos. -

For sure those look great. Properly serious. Anyone see a purist of Punisher with dual molded black and flesh arms yet? I’ve been itching to see that combo. -

Just checked Ebay and my head hurts The exclusive figs are going for ~$50 each and even generic figs like Ben Urich and Venom are ~$15 each. Not that this was unexpected but still. The best deal for just the building if anyone wants to make an expansion or doesn't care about the figs is some guy selling it for $170 plus $30 shipping, a whole $100 under full price. -

Agreed, both the shaping and beard color is off for me. I use Dr. Strange’s head and I love how it looks. -

I've been there for sure The change to redeeming the points, stacking $5 amounts, and then entering codes as opposed to just redeeming the points like was possible a few years ago is the most unnecessary thing ever. I'd like to know the logic behind making it so confusing. -

Correct. Minifigs of Thanos, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man MK 85. Happy about that Iron Man especially as it should drop the price of the fig down even more on Bricklink. -

The designer said that it was because 1) he didn't know the movie was coming out 2) he said he thinks Marvel thought it wouldn't interfere with movie merchandise because its release date is farther out than the set's release date and there shouldn't be much overlap. I'm paraphrasing here from what I remember. I was saying this the other day. I have a feeling Lego waits to introduce characters in movie sets first and any other new characters they release have either appeared in tv shows or video games and have no movie plans in the future. I'm pretty sure they do it so people are familiar with the characters first. So, a character like Anya Corazon can appear because she appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man cartoon and has no movie plans in the short-term. Same with the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, he appeared in Agents of SHIELD. Spider-Ham recently appeared in a major movie so people are familiar with him now. Spidey Noir and Gwen were released around the time of that movie so consumers were familiar enough with them. She-Hulk and Blade seem to be the most recent exceptions to the "movie first" rule. But She-Hulk was *probably* before Marvel had concrete plans ready for her. She did appear in Hulk and the Agents of SMASH prior to the set though. Lmaoo good luck on that interview man, you'll crush it. See if they can pay you in Bugles (plus overtime in Firestars, Punishers, and Daredevils). -

Oh wow I didn't see that, great eye man. I don't know if anyone knows the comics well enough to answer this but was Doc Connors ever involved in the Clone Saga? To my knowledge he wasn't, I feel like that was the mainly the Jackal's doing. -

Yeah some guy a bunch of pages back said he wanted some "cleavage" printed on the figure like in the comics when I'm pretty sure he just meant he wanted some skin/neck to show like they do for Black Widow figures because its the more iconic look that is in probably 95% of Black Cat art and media. This whole thread threw a fit about it because he misused the word/didn't explain his thoughts all that eloquently or effectively. I'm fairly certain that no ones being creepy about Lego figures of all things. I completely understand what you mean, there's just nothing that differentiates her too much from the many purist customs I've seen using the latest Catwoman torso. Still a great figure though. I have similar thoughts on the Daredevil fig. He's everything I've always wanted and more but something still feels sliiiigghtly off. As if the face printing is too small for the size of the head. It mostly feels this way around his eyes in certain angles. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? -

For sure, this set will be one that will appreciate in value once it retires. From the stickers to the prints to the iconicity of the building itself, people will love it. The newspaper prints may show up again and Blade will certainly reappear in his movie set. Daredevil may also appear in another comic set one day I feel, but Punisher, Firestar, Black Cat, and a lot of the Bugle crew are unlikely I feel.
