  1. Came here to say that too, it looks like the same as the Might Micros gold one but with prints?? Would be cool to put on some other Marvel figs if this is the case. Also opens the door to a Star Gauntlet in a similar manner one day. The Spider-Man images have shown me none of these sets are really worth buying. No big fig Venom makes the lair set an easy pass. But that Big Time suit is gonna have to be Bricklinked because its so dang cool. Maybe Mysterio will look good in the Monster Truck set.
  2. Everything is so detailed and contains brilliant new techniques for things, but my favorite parts are: Cookie Monster's apartment. It works as such a nice vignette. The lamppost and first floor of Hooper's store. Really cozy and classic looking. The Goldfish print. Amazing! My only gripes: I wish the tablecloth was a print too, it would be very useful for some restaurant and Little Italy MOCs. The Abby mural and flowers sort of looks like a memorial for her
  3. I agree, this is probably the best chance we've ever had of winning a figure. And only 2.2K retweets as of right now, I feel like people who retweet it are ppl who are most likely to enter.
  4. I don't mind figure exclusives, I'm not a diehard collector and I always have hope that one day they'll release some of the characters once they hit the movies or whatnot. Sure they'll be different variants and different costumes probably but I really only care about getting my hands on the character. But I agree artificial scarcity makes no sense. Just print more damn it! We'll buy them! People want to spend money on things they like! This was the first game I ever got platinum on so I'll enter just because I finished it, but the figure isn't anything special. The mask and torso prints in the sets that Miles appeared in are better. The leg printing is probably the best part. I feel like the mech set will have a 1000x better variant.
  5. Yeah his face looks spot on, but man that Hellcharger. Not only can Robbie not see the road when he's driving, the car itself is mad wide. Basically a 4x4 cabin with an extra 2 studs sticking out on both sides counting the tires. Not bad overall, I actually don't mind the stud shooters but it reminds me of this year's set with Anya Corazon where it was the vehicle, 2 heroes, the villain, and no other builds. No side builds only works well when the main build is amazing. I think they could have made better use of the piece count than just making it even more oversized than we all expected. I also sort of wish the villain was an exclusive fig like Hobgoblin. Everyone on this thread came up with better ideas with Morbius tying in to the movie, Demogoblin referencing the original Ghost Rider set, or even a guy like Jack O' Lantern if they wanted a Halloween or horror themed set. Carnage makes as much sense as any of these guys but its still a tad disappointing.
  6. Same here. My anticipation for the Ghost Rider set shot down pretty quickly once we found out the awful 2018 Carnage is the villain again.
  7. Ooh that'd be amazing. If they do an Ultimate Goblin again one day, I'd like to see some wings on him like in Spider-Verse to make him different from the last figure of him.
  8. Falconfan said something interesting about the lair set. The price doesn’t match up too well with the # of parts. So... Does that mean a big fig Venom is in included?? It could also possibly be based on the Vexed by Venom series/movie Lego put out as Spidey fights GG and big Venom in that and also has a secret lair.
  9. The Spider-Man with the denim jacket and hat sounds like it could be Spider-Punk with his mohawk. The one with the gold logo could be the Anti-Ock suit from the PS4 game or a repeat of the Iron Spider. I want the black outfit to be the Symbiote but I doubt that. It could be the Big Time stealth suit with the green logo. Or maybe its the Secret War suit with that blue logo that looks like a surfer’s body suit. Or it could just be Miles lol.
  10. Interesting, so its the same as the Captain Marvel set, only 2 exclusive prints at the time it came out.
  11. Called it! Interesting that its pretty much the same build as the HYDRA tank from 2014. It looks really good, but watch this be more expensive than the regular release set
  12. I love the set, so I'm going to just list some very minor complaints. The door looks a little... off. I think it might have needed a sticker on the 2x3 brown tile to add a tan line or some texture in there. But then I saw how it looks with the door open and I love it The balcony I can also do without, I might detach it if I get the set and just have the sides be symmetrical. The wreath might look better with a green circular 4x4 plate with the hollow middle piece but with those same red pieces for the bow. Those lights... I'm not sure what that decision was like but I think the replacing them with a white 1x1 clip and a white hollow stud, but the same trans pieces might make it look better and less odd. The tree really isn't doing anything for me. It looks too cluttered but thats an easy fix. Also tan and lime green for the ornaments aren't very Christmasy in my eyes. Things I really love though: The stocking on the chimney is really nice, the white at the top really does it for me. The fact that they included a waffle maker instead of a fireplace like usual is a pretty nice mix up. The sleigh is so gorgeous with the red, white, and gold. Even the trans orange candle flames are cute. Literally everything else :)
  13. I could imagine them rounding out the Spider-Verse crew in the hideout set with the anime spider girl character and her SP//DR mech. Morbius in the Ghost Rider set would make sense and be great, but I expect so many reused villains this wave. Hopefully some will have new costumes. I would love a Spider-Gwen figure redesign with some arm and leg printing. Its crazy how they were somehow able to make her figure look so boring.
  14. For anyone interested, Kardue'sai'Malloc (the Devaronian) from the UCS Cantina set has a torso that would work pretty well for a purist Mako from The Legend of Korra.
  15. For anyone interested, Kardue'sai'Malloc (the Devaronian) has a torso that would work pretty well for a purist Mako from The Legend of Korra.
  16. Not sure what you guys are talking about, you don't think that the eternal darkness of the black AFOL box just screams Christmas cheer? Build looks great. As others have said the sled with reindeer is beautiful, the color is excellent, the roof is well built, and the tree looks pretty good and sizable albeit over decorated (a good problem to have compared to some trees found in polybags and Advent Calendars though). The elves are plain but I think that is fine. It would be nice to get the hat and torsos in regular green as opposed to the bright version. Love that one has a red scarf. Santa might have made the minifigure selection a little better but I understand the decision to leave him out, no one wants the boss around when its time to goof off. My biggest gripe is that judging by the piece count the price will be at least $100 while it looks like an $80 build at most.
  17. Don't even get me started on this year's City Calendar. I see no play value in the micro builds now or when I was a kid. No rolling wheels, not able to seat minifigures, too big for me to really see them as the minifig's toys. What is the point? 2013 is one of my fav's with a great blend of useful city elements, festive winter elements, and microbuilds that were creative and usable. Not to mention that dalmatian piece I agree, affordable while also being great for both play and display with the tractor. I think this one would have been helped by replacing the sledding mountain thing with something else. Everything else looks pretty good though.
  18. Ahh this is awesome. Nice work man!
  19. Does anyone here think the Marvel SDCC set will be available in some way this year? I would imagine that they made one since they made a DC one. I feel like it would be a Black Widow set since the SDCC Marvel sets in the past have all been based on MCU movies of the year while DC has been comic based. Maybe that will be our way to get a Red Guardian or the White Widow suit. (The latter is probably easier and more realistic for them to make, especially since they already have the legs from Yelena they could reuse.)
  20. At the very least we should see a really cool comic wave thats loosely based on the movies with Batman in every set as usual. The possibilities are endless. A Darkseid for the first time in so long, King Shark, a new Batmobile, a Starro build, some Squad characters, Black Adam, and my biggest hope: a red and black Cheerleader hairpiece Harley. But knowing TLG if they’ll make a brand new piece with goggles on it just to stop me from ever making the perfect Harley figure.
  21. Brickhero on IG says it works now but it doesn’t for me
  22. Is it only for today or is it a regular set just available on S@H?
  23. I'm sure that this figure is only for Fandome but its still interesting to note that usually Lego's exclusives have the word "Exclusive" printed on the packaging. Maybe this one has it on the back of the plastic or everything had to be made quickly so they just overlooked it. Both Bard the Bowman and Azog didn't have this printing and they came in Hobbit sets after. The same case goes for the Batgirl minidoll from 2016 which was then released in a $25 set in 2017. Even when they were just on cardboard instead of this plastic clamshell it said exclusive on the packaging (except for 2011 GL and Batman as far as I know).
  24. Wow, seeing these pics now I definitely agree with both points. Maybe I’ll pick it up and display it at a sale instead of just trying to get Rescue separately. Also, Lego will apparently have at least a minor presence at SDCC at home with some posters being sold online by artist @danveesenmeyer on Instagram for a limited time. He has a Spider-Man print and Mandalorian & Baby Yoda print.
  25. Ah awesome, I appreciate it. Will do.
