Madame Gao is the very reason to watch this show. ?

I haven't seen a lot of love for Krypto around these parts. He is easily the reason to purchase Lashina's set (which is actually one of the better ones in the theme both build and part wise) He is so well molded: the cape, the snout and the printing is so well done. Even though he is a little more "Friends-ified" he is both cute and courageous making him overall easily integrate-able with the standard minifugre line imo.

It was no Daredevil but it was still good. Could have had a little more brutal and fluid action but the villains were some of my favorites in the MCU since Fisk, especially my boy Stokes. Their motives felt real and they themselves felt relatable. The dialogue and scenery also felt really authentic (but that just may be the New York native in me talking) :P Completely agree. Ultron could have been a little more intimidating and less childish(?), and I too definitely liked the film more after watching it on TV a few times than I did in the theater.

The Lego Batman Movie Penguin's umbrella along with piece 62462 placed vertically on a stud works well as an umbrella holder next to a door.
If I don't see this in the next modular building I will be very upset.Â

Loving that Shocker. I had the same idea with the Friends pineapple. It works all too well.

TBLM Bruce Wayne's torso and legs with a black skeleton head works well for Black Mask. Also, for anyone watching Luke Cage: Cottonmouth: CMF Businessman with brown hands and Zedmore's head (smiling side to portray his laugh) Claire Temple: TLBM Barbara Gordon works well. She is being voiced by Rosario Dawson anyway so it fits. Diamondback: Rhodey's head from the Iron Man 3 series fits well imo, all he needs is some military-esque clothing and some weapons, a bazooka, Star Wars blasters, anything.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
*sigh* I guess you have forced my hand The wall is a piece of scenery that allows kids to have Batman jumping off of things during a fight and adds context as to where the set is taking place. Or from the perspective of us AFOLs the wall is made of some amazingly useful sand green bricks and has some great decorations added to it like the computer, pipes, valves, and the mug. It looks perfect as the inside of the GCPD or ACE Chemicals and captures a bit of the brutalist industrial architecture and exposed walls of many public facilities after years of wear and tear. Alongside Mr. Freeze the wall adds a hint of an Arkham City vibe as it is reminiscent of his boss fight in the video game within the GCPD forensic labs. The wall is more than meets the eye as you can now see and while it is not the driving factor in the purchase of the set, that privilege belongs to the minifigures, the wall's inclusion is still welcome nonetheless. *end rant* Not sure why I wrote this at all but if anybody needs an introductory paragraph to their college thesis paper feel free to use the above text. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looking at Mr. Freeze's armor some more, does anyone else think it could be used as an Azrael-Batman suit from the Knightfall storyline or are there studs that are protruding (where the dome is attached) that will stop this from looking good? -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
You know it is a good wave when even the smallest set has great builds. The Mr. Freeze mech is fun to have, the police chief fig is awesome, gotta love me some Batman with the new belt, and even the scenery with the piping looks so Arkham GCPD inspired. I love it! Not too fond of Freeze having a blue head though. *sigh* Will definitley be picking it up though. The Arkham set is great and extremely detailed. Love the side builds especially and the gothic look of the thing with white pieces for snow. The Batcave is different but still awesome. Love the boat build and the new umbrella pieces. -
Agreed. If we're looking all themes with mini-dolls this one is easily the best. Great printing on them and the builds look more complete than some of the other stuff that Lego has put out for their sets marketed towards girls especially that cafe. I sort of want that Lena Luthor figure just to have alongside Lex or something and the lace printing on Batgirl's yellow Timbs looks really high quality and well done. I'm still not really into mini-dolls and will not be buying these sets unless heavily-discounted since I too am not in the age demographic Lego is trying to gear towards and won't really have much of a use with them but I can look at them objectively rather than subjectively for a moment and can easily say these figs and builds are the crem de la crem of Lego's "girl-themed" sets.

The details here are really well done with some creative uses of Lego parts like the 1x2 pieces used for the white trim above Santa's boots and the feather pieces used for a little bit of the beard. It will definitely make a very nice table ornament but I still probably won't get it.

Harley Quinn's hairpiece could have just been the CMF Babysitter's but with some red and blue streaks in the ponytails... but instead we get a new hairpiece with bangs that definitely won't look good on a standard minifigure... *sigh* The cafe build looks really good actually but I'm still fully within the majority that will not be buying these sets.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The set seems okay, just a brighter, smaller, rounder version of Black Panther's AWESOME jet. The figs are totally the main selling point and the Ms. Marvel fig already looks great. And now I guess I could see where the Super Adaptoid vs. Sam Wilson Captain America issue arose but maybe it would have helped to know that the flying figure was shooting something from its palm. Or the fact that it had repulsors coming from its legs. Or that it has Ultron's helmet adding to the overall robotic feel...- 5,808 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Legocity2713 replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Many thanks to our 2017 picture poster, we all truly do appreciate it. (Even those who seem doubtful for some apparent reason) *sigh* Anyway, love the destroyed hover tank in front of the bunker. The set seems pretty promising especially if one were to expand upon it. -
Same here. It just comes up as the pictures' code inside brackets.
-
Love that there are smaller police sets with some great vehicles. The bank transport truck is definitely on my list. :)
-
Huh, I just looked back at the pics and it indeed looks like a new mold. Awfully similar, but new nonetheless. Hopefully it is not a rubber piece and is just regular plastic.

The sets look... as you would expect them too. Simple builds, bright colors, the crystal creatures described are like 10 pieces max. The real highlight is the blonde Zombie Cheerleader's hairpiece but this time with red and blue streaks instead of just straight up being half red and half blue! Very useful for a Harley Quinn purist fig based on Suicide Squad or the recent comics.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Legocity2713 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think Lola gets the overall shape right but (and I can't believe I'm saying this) it could use some stickers for a little added detail i.e. front grill, SHIELD logo, etc. so hopefully those are in the set. Detroit Steel is actually pretty cool. It looks like a more fun version of the Hulkbuster and definitely isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. So far, not display worthy alone for me though but modifying it will definitely be fun. Overall a good set so far, excited to see those final photos. :)- 5,808 replies
