  1. Naah, that would be too big. SE sets in the first wave are usually $40-$50.
  2. Ah, good call. So we will have: 9488 - $11.99 9489 - $11.99 9490 - $24.99 9491 - $24.99 9492 - $49.99 9493 - $59.99 9499 (?) I was quite convinced Amidala would come in the $60 set with an AAT. But I still think it will be an AAT with a STAP and some scenery. Then I don't know what the SE set could be. Maybe a Theed playset? Because an AAT I think would be big for an SE set.
  3. Wow, this information sounds very interesting. Thanks! So, about these collectible sets, what do you mean? Are they normal system sets that come in a collectible box? Because it has been confirmed we will have 6 (non-exclusive) system sets next wave. Are they part of some special line?
  4. I seriously don't think we are getting an Outrider. I'm not sure if it was even a hint. Like the "UCS Lobot" hint last year. Everyone thought we would get a Cloud City, but we didn't. LEGO should know by now that EU doesn't sell. But then, just watch us get an Outrider next year, and me feeling like an idiot
  5. I think the playthemes and IP's he referred to in 2013 were for other themes, not SW.
  6. The Camo print is possible, but Rancor battalion is more likely. It's just that I already have a bunch of Arealight ones. But now that I think about it, I like TLG's ARF helmet design much better than Arealight's anyway. So a Rancor one would be great. For the ARC trooper, We'll probably get a yellow or a blue one as a generic ARC. Since they would have the new helmet mold, then it's possible we get him in a later set. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for my Pre Visla!
  7. I think it's safe to say we will get a new mold for the helmet. Also, it is most likely we get a new variant of ARF trooper. I'm hoping for Jungle or Geonosis Camo, but a Rancor Battalion one would be alright, and make sense. Also, I'm wondering about the Endor pack. In every battle pack we have gotten at least one new figure (except in 2007), so I think we should get one. Maybe the commandos will be redone?
  8. I wonder when this surprise will be revealed. Could it be an exclusive? Or a system set. If it is system, then it will probably be in the second wave, with the bigger sets. If it is an exclusive, then it could be revealed sooner, like the AT-OT with Dropship.
  9. I totally understand. Sometimes I think to myself "Aww, I wish he would just tell us the sets". But then I think about it, and I realise that then, until we get 2013 rumours, I would be bored, and we would have nothing to discuss. It's so much more exciting getting little bits of information leading up to the big release of the new sets, and then right when we get reviews, rumours for the next wave pop up. We are occupied 24/7, and it is a lot more fun and exciting this way. Just like how you have to wait until Christmas morning before opening your presents.
  10. True. And I doubt it would look great in LEGO anyway. But that is simply the style of the planet Naboo, which is introduced in the Phantom Menace. With each new movie, comes new styles of ships, characters, planets, etc. Anyway, that is still only one of the options. Other speculations include the Jedi Temple, Jabba's Palace, and Cloud City. I also think a Geonosis Arena is possible, with Geonosians, possibly Jango, Padme, and new Jedi.
  11. But it's a cool ship! A Royal Starship pretty much fits the description. Those Chrome parts would make a fortune on Bricklink.
  12. Well then how do you look at it? Usually I look at a combination of all these aspects.
  13. .... The outrider is EU, which never fails to sell horribly. Captain Kirk is a Eurobricks Fellow...
  14. Some thing like a life size lightsaber?! I'm not sure if I would regret not buying that for the rest of my life... 2012 is special in release. Well, thats what we heard about 2011 too. We hear that it would "rock our worlds". Well it seemed like another average year to me... And we should be getting PM sets, a few AOTC sets. Those are pretty predictable. And then it looks like we are getting less and less CW sets. Then we should get the usual batch of OT sets. So the special surprise is probably OT, no? But the OT has been covered almost completely. Jabba's palace and Cloud City remain. I personally say Cloud City. And 2013? Phew. We will start to see more AOTC sets and ROTS sets. New playthemes? Hmmm. ORDER 66 LINE! I remember someone hinted at that a while ago. I guess that's a playtheme. I can't think what else. Geonosis Arena? Jedi Temple? And sorry if this is obvious, but what is an "IP"?
  15. Har har. But seriously, I just can't think what it would be. He said "something special in a set", so I guess it isn't actually a set. Is it a minifigure? A small vehicle? A new mold or print?
  16. Cloud city is possible. I seriously doubt they'd do an Outrider. Whatever the set is, it probably comes with some super exclusive minifigure(s). Kind of like Boba with printed arms and legs, but something else. Oh, I know. UCS Lobot! Does anybody remember that?
  17. Well Mirander says we get a stormy, a scout, and 2 commandos, and that sounds about right. It would be stupid getting an ewok because then everyone would have an army of the same ewok. Also, I think this time around, TLG will give us a stormy. It's really been a while since the last one.
  18. So where did you get this information? Did you see pictures? So about the battle packs, the ARC trooper should have the proper helmet with fin, printed visor, and holes for helmet attachments. If they just use a phase 2 helmet, well that would just be... just... But what really stumps me is the ARF trooper. They could do a Rancor battalion one, Geonosis Camo, Jungle Camo, there is many different choices. "Mirander", if you have seen pictures, is it possible to confirm what type of ARF trooper it is, and which/what color ARC trooper it is? Also, leg printing would be nice. As for the OT battle pack, not much to speculate about there. Seems pretty clear what we are getting.
  19. I don't know why nobody believes this. Obvbiously nothing is confirmed, but it is possible. It's not like TLG never changes their patterns. Maybe this is simply a new type of battle pack. That way kids don't have to buy two sets, and they can already have fun with only one set. I have to say I prefer the other way, because most of the time I prefer one faction over the other. But I still think this is very possible. I would love to see a book like that. I've always been curious about the design process on sets and I've looked everywhere for little bits of info. And stop messing with us!
  20. And in 2017, we'll most likely get a celebration R2-D2! Can we please not have this discussion again? Chewie, Leia, Dodonna, it's gonna be a decade by the time TLG releases that many books. And either way, discussing that book would be for the 2011 topic, not the 2012 one.
  21. Good question. The speeder is an obvious one, with possibly a small command center similar to the snowtrooper bp, just to take up space. For the rebels, I dunno. We could get a non-canon vehicle, but that would suck.
  22. I dunno. To be a jedi, that guy must be pretty fit, and with Dexter being as fat as he is, they would probably have to be two different molds. I still think TLG will focus on the end battle, with mabye one set other than that. I have to admit, other than the Geonosis scene, AOTC was fairly boring. Also, another set could be an SPHA-T. They were just as prominent as the AT-TEs in the battle of Geonosis, and we still haven't seen a set of one.
  23. I'm still waiting to see Mutley777's army of Wolfpack Troopers
  24. Yeah, I missed out on the gunship too, but I got all the other CW sets. I was pretty bummed for a while, but luckily, I just scored a used gunship for $30 last weekend, so I'm satisfied now. But I would still like to see another wave of AOTC sets, and like it or not, I really don't think TLG is going to release a Dexters diner set (this reminds me of a specific topic on FBTB ). A Zam chase is possible, but really, the main choices are Gunship, AT-TE, Slave 1, Spider droid, Dwarf Spider, Hailfire, and then battle packs. I think the current Geonosian Starfighter is just fine, and we don't need another one. The Slave 1 seems likely. I know we've had like six of them, but we only got one of Jangos, and I'm sure, knowing the guys at TLG, they can't wait to make a Jango with the new mold. I don't think we will see another LAAT/c for AOTC. That set was done perfectly, and it was a one time thing. Although, now that I think about it, that would be cool to get the Dropship by itself, that way you could buy multiples for your different tanks. Well the proper place would be in the "General LEGO Star Wars Questions" thread, which is pinned on the front page of the forum. But system sets are pretty much normal minifig scale sets that LEGO releases. For example, Anikan's Jedi Starfighter, or the Clone Turbo Tank. UCS sets (UCS AT-ST), mini sets (Mini General Grievous Starfighter), and Technic sets (Technic Jango Fett) are not system sets.
  25. They definitely wouldn't be CW clones. If you mean from AOTC sets, then they could likely either have a CW helmet mold, or a new mold with different printing, then the same swamp speeder torso. If you mean for ROTS sets, then they could have the Swamp speeder torso, and a similar helmet, but I would hope for a printed visor, and holes for helmet attachments.
