  1. Perhaps, we may have to wait the unveil of GB HQ until next week's Brickcon in Seattle then?.....or much later??
  2. Like the release of petshop in March back in 2011? As long as we could have a new modular in 2016, it would be great thought it is going be a longer waiting than usual.
  3. As Huw from Brickset anticipated, http://brickset.com/...january-release Would the official set or image be revealed during the Fan weekend in Denmark this week? or Brickcon in Seattle next week?, if the official image is going to be unveiled at Denmark Fan weekend , it is going to be very soooon.... can't wait!!! Wow...then 4600 pieces of lego bricks will be totally used for HQ building ? (may be a few bricks counts and accessories for mini figures I assume) then we could raise the expectation of the attention to detail of this set higher!!! Yay!!!
  4. Same logic applies to us,including me, who support the rumour of TLG's release of 4600 pieces set with $350, would love to see a Ghost busters HQ set with great attention to detail, which would not compromise the size, nor reducing the number of pieces down around 500+, and would pay anything if this set comes out!
  5. I am also glad that my nearest lego store is 3 more tube stops from where I live. :) Though the box would be massive and heavy, the way home would be amazing carrying such a big box!
  6. I totally agree with you. The modulars...though the interior is not as visible as exteriors...of course..we know that it has cupboard, freezer, coffee machine and oven with other interior details...Particularly to AFOLs, it would be utterly no point of releasing the HQ set only exterior like cafe corner or market streets...during the early days of modular building.. Moreover building a set with around more than 4000 pieces will be a great joy of enjoying building...I can't wait to see the official unveil of this set...4600 pieces !!! would show the TLG's quintessential detail of a building with exterior and interior.
  7. I don't think and highly doubt about the view that The lego would discontinue the modular set. All we can do is wait and see... as we always have done...
  8. Thanks for your reply. Yes I already have instruction, but I wonder whether I could get a part list sheet with part images, if possible.
  9. Hi Lego train fans! After concluding my the recent collection and building of early 9v trains, ranging from 4558~ 4564, the pleasure and enjoyment of doing Lego train was something different level of fun which I have not felt in other lego set. Since all my trains of early 9vs are all relatively modern design compared to steam locomotive train, which I also have been dreamed of, I decided to build Ben's BR 23 train. i got an well-designed instructions and *txt format brick list, But I WONDER whether I could get a bricklist with images of brick. I found a brick list with parts image at rebrickable.com, however, some of parts are not displayed, such as wheels (not BBB wheels) and tube and 9v train wheels. in order to have a correct part list, it would be great if I could find a clear brick list with parts images if possible. I also wonder what MPD format files? is this a file that could be opened by Lego digital designer? Thank you! p.s I attach my small Lego 9v train town pictures. my thanks to JopieK
  10. yes me too. With the re-lease(almost) of 10199 toyshop, it would be great to have another winter village theme real train!
  11. What a great train design you did... utterly beautiful!! ....with green coloured carriage. It would be fantastic if Lego release black and red colour scheme steam locomotive, some sort of homage of legendary 7750 set.
  12. I wonder whether there has been any updated news of clue for 2016 modular set's theme.?? not even a leaked info? after that 23rd August 2015?
  13. Would this 40138 christmas train be as similar to 40034 train or could be full scale train like 10173 holiday train?..Judging by the set number, it seems to be small scale train...like 40034...
  14. Very good!! and funny as well.. it is also interesting to see that such an automated level crossing is also possible with 9v~
  15. I also wish to see some sort of modular level of scale and attention to detail 'garage' or even CAR theme related modular building would be very very cool as a petrol head... or some sort of "Classic car repair" shop!!!!!!
  16. Great review! I also got 4552 used one via bricklink from a German seller, but there were some severe defect of the set, as one of minifig's hand was broken and blue 1x2 brick also got cracked and heavily used, which seller didn't mention. But it was a fantastic addition to my 9V train collection, good match with 4564 and 4563+4536, which the sets are now in complete shape thanks to JopieK's wonderful reproduction train stickers. I look forward to see 4552 reproduction stickers as well
  17. HI Lego town fans, The 10185 Green grocer is one of my favourites among all the legos I have collected since came out of Dark age last year. The design, colour scheme and details of the building is...speechless, though I had to pay .....quite high...price for obtaining this set. Since 10182, all modular buildings have their own sign...for instance, 10182 has red transparent brick built HOTEL sign, 10197, 10224 have 1932, 1897 by bricks and 10211,10218, 10243 and 10246 have brick built lettering that explains the what this building is. However, 10185 is probably the only building that has no sign nor year in brick built, but printed snake pattern on red-brown tile. Does anyone know what this snake logo stands for? Cheers!!
  18. Hi, I sent a message to you Please have a read! :)
  19. Hi, I have recently start building 90's 9v trains series of 4564, 4558 and 4563 in misb condition. They were amazing...such an awesome set in terms of design, colour scheme and building. However, the sticker ahhh...since they have been kept under the seal for nearly 20~24 years some stickers' adhesive strength have gone or weak as some sticker sheet was bended in the box. In particular, 4563's white thick stripe, I applied it yesterday night but already coming off from the surface. Also the thickness of this white vinyl sticker was a bit thicker than other train stickers. So, my question is...Do you guys have any tip or suggestion to restore or improve adhesive of this stickers? I did some googling and some say that glue could work...but...not so sure...So I wonder you guys here at Traintech may have some similar experience and got any tip related this sticker adhesive strength issue. Any tip or suggestion relate to this would be appreciated!!! Thank you
  20. Super thanks! that is exactly what I am looking for!!!!
  21. Hi Lego train fans, I have found some interesting MOC train buildings from the youtube and other lego community. I don't know how to call it exactly but a 2nd or 3rd story building and rail track is going through this building. to find some related infos, I did some search at this forum and others but failed to find similar design buildings. Any tips or infos of finding instructions of these style buildings? Thank you.
  22. Hi Lego fans, I have a question regarding whitening the discoloured lego bricks by using Hydrogen Peroxide. I saw some youtube videos, showing that how to restore the discoloured lego bricks via this solution. However, some people say that those treated white pieces by hydrogen peroxide, returns back to previous yellowed colours after few months. How abiut you guys cases? all those white bricks are still in good white status after few months? Any comments regarding this issue would be appreciated.
  23. Thank you I have just sent a message.
  24. Hi Lego train fans! Since I have started the 90s 9v trains, Lego train logo sticker was one of the issues when I buy used set. Several months ago, I was able to buy replica lego train logo sticker set, the black arrow logos that was printed on transparent sheet. However, there are other colours of lego train logos in white, yellow or even in red from the set such as 4551, 4536 and 4552. I wonder I could buy any replica Lego train stickers in those white or other colours. I did some research and found that 4511 set also has a white train logo, but that logo seemed a bit slender than 90s train logos. Any tips or opinions related this issue would be appreciated. Thank you!
